You’re preaching DD to people who YOLO daily SPY calls or puts, and think GME is going to make their great grandchildren rich. Give it a month, the PFS and impact will be released, NOAA application approved, and all of a sudden this board will be full of overnight believers and experts. I’m holding 45k+ shares of TMC, agree with everything you said, and will only have one thing to say/post here in 6 months - a screenshot of the easiest 10x (minimum) I’ll have bagged, and in a years time.

I am getting a PhD in an adjacent topic to this and could write a book on why TMC is garbage. (But I do also understand how it will get some bumps in value from hype around a "new frontier"). In a hypothetical future scenario where the USA needs all the rare earths it can get, we are not going to be the ones doing the dirty work in the open sea. From my experience, that'll be China.

And under any other administration, I’d agree with your assessment. The amount of EPA regulations and lack of desire on the part of politicians to pursue change would have held this thing up in courts for years. Not under the Trump administration. NOAA is already starting the permitting process (as TMC announced) and tech has innovated enough to provide the proof of principle that it can actually work if authorized. So, as long as they get legislation in place before the mid-terms to solidify, I see this company growing like I see MP Materials growing. Is it a gamble? Absolutely. Is it a bad gamble? Clearly, I don’t think so. Personally, I think it’ll stagnate short term until the news of approved permits comes out.

TMC is.... not a terrible gamble for some bumps but in reality has 0% of every being profitable. At no time in the history of sea-bed mining has it been remotely profitable to harvest nodes from the sea-floor, transport them across the ocean to processing facilities on land, process the nodes to extract rare earth, then clean the rare earths and transport and sell them. This is the TMC CEO's 2nd deep-sea mining company. His first one went bankrupt after misleading investors for >10 years.

They had a legal witness who also destroyed them on legal, financial and practical points. The committees view is that Trumps executive order is a load of rubbish and that deep sea mining is not economically or even practically feasible.

Always a possibility. Only problem with mining (so far) is how long it takes for permit approval. TMC announced at the committee meeting today that they’d submitted for two different permits to start mining. That would normally be great news. But if the Trump administration doesn’t put a prioritization on permit approval, it could take a hot minute for approval. OMEX is in the same boat. When one goes up, the other will too. OMEX just happened to be a low cost stock, so MOMO folks got ahold of it and pushed accordingly on the hype.

I can’t express how much I believe in TMC I heard about this first back in 2022 on a NYT podcast on deep sea mining (now referred to as deep sea harvesting (DSH)) and I fell in love with it. The idea that you could collect critical metals that will be used for the green transition in a clean and humane way was everything I needed to hear to invest. I didn’t have too much to invest but it did make up 100% of my investing account. Over time I’ve rode the ups and downs and bought more shares and warrants. Currently sitting on \~3250 shares and 15k warrants plus some options. I convinced my parents and cousins to buy in heavy last week and they’re already seeing large gains. It does and it doesn't, with Trump in the White House I think this is already a done deal. There is a committee hearing tomorrow and TMC will be present in that hearing. IMO tomorrow will be big.

If the TLDR wasn't clear enough, Trump has just signed an EO (Executive Order) last Thursday directing the fast tracking of processing deep sea mining applications. And the only company that's even remotely ready for an application is TMC, which they are already ahead of any competitor. How far ahead? -They have over a decade of operational, economic and environmental research (since 2012, compiling one of the largest deep-sea data sets ever assembled) -First company in the whole WORLD, to apply for a deep sea mining/harvesting license -Is 2 years ahead of any competitor, as legislated by the ISA, (U.N governing body for seabed related matters) which directs that any company who wants to apply for a deep sea mining license must have at least 2 years of prior inpact/environmental research which only TMC has achieved as of the date of this comment April 29, 2025. This is now a real indicator of political awareness of deep sea mining/harvesting with TMC being leaps ahead of any competitor as they have also already proven they can harvest+process the minerals with an offshore partner.

Classic noobs not knowing an executive order dropped last week for Deep Sea Mining from DJT. With the EO, TMC is fast tracked to an untapped market on the sea floor. Trillions of dollars are down there in polymetallic seanodules. This cuts out China’s mineral monopoly and strengths America’s mineral independence. TMC USA is a subsidiary and is applying for the American permit. If you hate money go kick rocks, this is a gold mine. TMC is the leader by far in this new market.

I was following a deep sea mining position and all last week trump insiders were talking about them signing the EO to allow DSM off America shores. Companies like TMC and other small companies were expecting to wait 3-4 more years to start. Unfortunately I sold it at 35 which after he signed the EO Thursday this thing might keep going up. Terrible financials, just bought on expected positive news for the industry.

Yeah it's a strange one. A similar stock (OMEX) went 4x on the EO news. I was hoping for something similar with this (from 2.50 to 9 or 10). Volume today is very low compared to yesterday on TMC so hopefully it's a small correction before grinding up next few weeks. I am surprised at the price action though.

1. I got into TMC in 2023 and have always envisioned that being something that would be new and could be backed by the US since we rely 90% on china for these metals for production of a lot of our weapons and electronics. TMC holds 3 exploration contracts in the CCZ that is going to be worth quite a lot. At .80 in 2023 I bought 1000 and walked away. TMC hit its new 52 week today 3.70 might be more now. It’s been quite a ride. I’m also eyeing RIG and I knew OMEX was something that would be a crazy trade. Trump loves fuxking with china and we are sitting on a gold mine of those nodules. It’s gunna open this huge market if they can get through. I know I wanted to buy like 20 contracts but since it was my first I was trying to research everything I could.

TMC is such a scam. Event early investor that wasn’t on the board immediately sold all their stock at the ask of $10 the moment the ipo went live. Since then it’s received multiple delisting notices and has spent the majority of the last 3 years as a penny stock. Barron, the CEO was also the CEO of Nautilus Minerals (look it up) which was a $600m scam and burnt through the entire funds, but not before Barron exited with $30m in cash after which it promptly collapsed without ever mining a single thing. He then took that money did a SPAC with a bunch of Russian investors called “deep green” which then became TMC.
