Yeah atm, but I'm *hoping* the hardware breakthroughs will materialize in like 10 years. The Chinese are working on stacked 3D chip designs to rival TMC and also some other advancements ([ferroelectric transistors](https://archive.ph/6VCmz) for combined processing and memory). So hopefully ram to run a large LLM will become cheap enough. Just speculation, but then we might not see a monopolization.
You are just scratching the surface but i am mining deep. AREC REA and TMC are what im counting on
This makes me pretty averse to buying TMC shares. Execs have overwhelmingly done nothing but dump shares for the past 3 years. USAR and MP insider buying dont look too swell either, but considering the govt equity, I think it these two have a stronger bull case. https://preview.redd.it/2vwke67ug9ch1.png?width=1293&format=png&auto=webp&s=ec8dd2b3432a809906521ba8a6cdf327f9bc822e
If you mention rare earth's you need to mention TMC the metal company as well.
Here’s my high level DD on TMC! $TMC — TL;DR: Only company in line for the first-ever US deep-sea mining permit. Decision \~Q1 2027. Trades at under 10 cents per dollar of its own NPV because one document is unresolved. The Pentagon has been deploying billions into minerals companies with equity stakes and price floors. I hold 3,100 shares @ $5.87 with exits pre-set at every level. AThe setup: One rock on the ocean floor contains copper, nickel, cobalt, and manganese. The US imports \~100% of its manganese and nearly all of its nickel and cobalt. China has restricted exports of 11+ minerals in three years, and the Hormuz closure just gave the world a live demonstration of what chokepoint warfare costs. Washington got the message: executive order, fast-track NOAA process, national security framing. The receipts: TMC filed its application the same week NOAA opened the fast-track lane. Every milestone since has landed on schedule. You don’t have a world-first application ready to file unless you knew the lane was coming. The board was built for access: Hess oil family money (the family patriarch gave $1M to the Trump super PAC weeks before the fast-track rule appeared — it’s in FEC records) and Elon Musk’s personal attorney, whom the company publicly credited with helping “work with the new Administration.” The Pentagon playbook already exists: $4.5B+ deployed into minerals companies. MP Materials got equity, a 10-year offtake, and price floors — and tripled. The DoD also owns 40% of the new refinery belonging to TMC’s own refining partner. Allseas — the company building the actual collection ships, and a \~14% shareholder — just accepted 7.3 million shares as payment for development work instead of cash. The contractor chose stock at $4.66 over invoiced dollars. The people building the machine are betting it works. Glencore has held rights to 50% of the flagship project’s nickel and copper for years. PAMCO in Japan has already smelted 2,000 tonnes of real nodules at a commercial facility. The customer chain exists before the mine does. Market cap: \~$2B. The company’s own project NPV: $23.6B. Under a dime per dollar, entirely because of one pending document. The bear case, stated honestly: The risk isn’t NOAA saying no — it’s the courts. Lockheed attempted this under the same statute and was stopped by litigation in 2015. Environmental groups have already signaled they’ll sue again. Filed lawsuits are expected and priced in; an injunction is the real kill shot. My honest odds of a permit that survives and works: 55–60%. This can go to zero with no soft landing. Size accordingly — I did. Position and plan: 3,100 @ $5.87. The ladder is set and non-negotiable: trim 10% at $6 (with tax-loss harvesting on my highest-cost lots), scale out at $15 and $18 — full cost basis recovered at $18, everything after is house money — sell a major tranche at $100, and hold \~1,000 shares permanently for the scenario where this becomes an established American industry with dividend potential. If it fails, I lose \~$18K at a size I planned for. Catalysts: 7/13 critical minerals trade report • 8/13 earnings + 8/14 13F filings (institutions hold only \~11% — if the permit lands, they build toward a normal 40%+ into a float that’s one-third locked by insiders) • Draft EIS in Q4 2026 — the one that matters most. For reference: the stock ran $1.72 → $11.35 on the executive order alone, with zero hard milestones achieved. The permit, a Pentagon deal, and the first production would each be larger events than the EO — landing on the same thin float.

I’m a defen so 1. BMR 2. HOVR 3. TMC
I actually added on recent dips. Position is up to 2800 contracts now. I am now 'full port TMC'. No difference in thesis for me, but I recommend you have a look at the discord where you can see very bullish and more risk averse takes.
wish TMC went to the fucking moon like it was supposed to. I guess we'll just buy rare earths from china as usual and keep dogging them on the mainstream media and I'll go fms.
I was buying TMC at $9 in Sept 2021 $2 in March 2022 $0.88 in Jan 2023 And its currently around $4 If it goes under $4 it could fall back low to around $2 but likewise above $7 it may reach double digits. Until it breaks through one of those numbers either up or down it will just bounce between $4-7 Just keep an eye on it
I went from 25k in 2020 to 850k in 2025, lost 250k in a few weeks when TMC dumped. I put the remaining 500k in SPY then 100k left in TMC, I'm at 650k now and I paid my taxes on the gain. Don't be dumb and take profit even if it only selling half.

What do you make of the New York Times writing an entire article heavily focused on TMC? https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/06/03/climate/deep-sea-mining-tests-hidden-gem.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share
Do you own your house and have low debt?....good time in your life to take a risk...take a shot at one stock you see being the future with 25k....or even 50k if it's only your bonus player....more of my thoughts...the war being over has been priced in 10 times already....I would not lump sum into tech right now...I'm also low 40's and would do exactly this if I had a 50k bonus and all my other bills/family taken care of...either buy 25k TMC @5.90 then wait for 3 months to see which way sp500 heads, any significant dip before November 4.65-5.25 area we are making buys. If you had 6100 shares of TMC @ avg 5.9 on September 29th 2027 you are going to be very happy with yourself....OR try to find the bottom of RKLB within the spacex ipo....25k in @90 and dca back to 65-70 if she goes there maybe if neutron doesnt fly this year...rklb will do what nvda did the last two years begining 2029...rklb is a 10 year hold just dont pay too much right now...all these space stocks could easy lose 20% and chop for a year or two wouldnt be unbelievable...these stocks might not be your flavor my point is if it is really just "bonus money" take a risk just this one time and pick one stock...find out how to get the best price for it and dont be a paper-handed bitch lol jks but really if you say "im not selling for 3 years!" Don't fucking sell for 3 years...good luck, id love an update when you make a choice. Cheers.
$TMC will do better than $AMD. Deep sea mining critical minerals. Mark it
Everyone keeps touting played out Ai $NVDA and $AMD. $TMC is easily the market’s next 10x
honestly i had a conversation with a board member on TMC at a conference earlier this year he showed me a picture of his house, i bought leaps right away
TMC was under a dollar a year and a half ago and that seems like it has a very real chance to be worth a good amount in 2027 at some point.
I admire your courage. Every time I bought a single-digit stock (CLNE and TMC) I got wrecked. Final question: do you see $9–$10 right before SpaceX IPO?
TMC. And these increased copper costs just make it an even better investment.
I work at NOAA and I’ve been partially involved with setting the legal and consultation framework for TMC’s leases. I have let my moral compass get the best of me, abstaining from trading on insider information but I came pretty damn close to buying some call options a week ago. I’m an idiot, which is why I work for the government.
Done a fair bit of work on this so let me actually give you a useful read rather than the scam/generational binary ## the legitimate criticisms the skeptics aren't all wrong on - execution risk is real - deep sea mining at production scale has never been done. fair point - capital intensive - realistic estimates put 5-year capital needs at $3-7B. they'll dilute. probably multiple times - timetables are aggressive - first nodule 2028, scale to 3 Mtpa by 2030 - very ambitious - narrative-driven volatility - hence the 80c → $9 → $5.50 swings the OP names ## the bits the skeptics are factually wrong about "don't make the machines" - they have a commercial partnership with allseas who do make the machines and operate the hidden gem vessel. signed commercial agreement may 11 2026 with published timeline. allseas literally exists and operates today "don't really intend to mine" - then why did NOAA today (28 may 2026) certify their second exploration license? USA B area, 122,000 km², 1.02bn tonnes of nodules. on top of USA A getting full compliance may 1. why is allseas building collectors. why is korea zinc a 5% holder + processing partner. why is the hess family on the board (yes, that hess family - the guyana / chevron $53bn exit people - they don't fuck around with scams) "illegal" - trump signed EO 14285 in april 2025 specifically enabling deep seabed mining permits via NOAA's DSHMRA pathway. it's the US national-pathway thing not ISA. NOAA has issued formal determinations. they're going through real legal process "trump green light" - already happened. EO + NOAA decisions + AGM today + the admin treating critical minerals as national security priority via project vault ($12bn EXIM-backed stockpile launched feb 2026) ## what nobody on this thread is mentioning TMC trades at roughly $1-2 per tonne of resource. junior explorers trade $50-200/tonne. developer-stage names (which TMC is - NOAA permits + commercial partner + processing partner + hess board) trade $500-2000/tonne. that's a structural valuation gap of 250-1000x even AFTER applying every legitimate discount for execution risk + dilution + capital intensity also worth knowing: their product is nickel + cobalt + copper + manganese (battery metals, not rare earths). these commodity prices have been recovering through 2025-26 independently. so unit economics improve via price AND volume ## the honest read scams don't get NOAA full-compliance determinations. scams don't have hess family board seats. scams don't have korea zinc as 5% holders. scams don't have published 8-year operational timelines with named industrial partners. could mgmt fail to execute? sure. could they dilute hard before production? probably. but those are EXECUTION risks not SCAM signals - very different things what I actually think: it's a long-cycle multi-year structural transition trade. priced like a scam, executing like a real (early-stage, high-risk, capital-intensive) mining developer with an unusual regulatory tailwind and strategic-investor backing. either you have 4-5 years to wait it out or you don't. not a quick flip obviously DYOR but the "is it real" question is answered by reading the SEC filings + NOAA decisions + partnership announcements - not by reddit drama
TMC's newly certified (by NOAA) application is for an additional 122k sq km of sea floor. Their original application was amended from 25k sq km to 65k sq km. And their valuation has still been based on the original 25k sq km. This is a 7.5x differential that has not been priced in yet. I've been sitting in this since February 1st with 30k shares at 6.44 avg. Feels amazing to finally be in the green for the first time since then, and hopefully just a sign of what's to come.
ChatGPT recommended me TMC so I put a few thousand dollars down. Can’t believe it’s actually working
I forgot I had a thousand shares of TMC. Neat. Why's it ripping?
BRUN: like NBIS and Coreweave, but they have customers prepay to finance expansion. Very high EBITDA margins. SLS: promising data for AML vaccine. It either goes to $20-40 or to near $0 AMRQF: hold the most mineral exploration rights in Greenland. Gold mine is producing and scaling up, better yields than expected. Found germanium and gallium (rare earths) on some of their sites. Talk of Danish and US buying equity stakes. Uplisting on LSE soon. TMC: riskiest play and smallest position, underwater sea floor mining. Bought calls for this. ABXXF: Singapore based commodities exchange to challenge COMEX with better technology. Gold exchange is doing well and silver just opened. Going into LNG soon. Great leadership. Confident on this one. KRKNF: underwater drones and sensor tech. I think we see underwater drones become a second wave since the adoption of aerial drones. Not financial advice, these are my personal investments. Do your own research.
feels good to hit back to back lottos on CRSR and TMC, didn't put that much in but it is what it is
Anyone buying TMC or have insights? Saw it on Seeking alpha and said fuck it and bought one long leap.
Happy to expand upon any of these but here are my moonshots to 5x: BRUN, SLS, AMRQF, TMC, ABXXF, KRKNF (need to digest earnings report from today)

Mods here are pussies. Let all forms of degen bS posts about fucking ai and dead phone companies, but continuously deny ANY posts about TMC. Hate or love the company its lame af and weird. Especially considering they literally have breaking news with approval. Sad fucking mods in here
Generational, all day long. Full disclosure, I’m holding 50k+ shares. This company went from being on the verge of bleeding out prior to 2024 election, to now on the cusp of being the worlds first and only company doing this, not to mention their lease rights to Brownsville port for a processing facility. They’re backed by AllSeas, they’ve tested the tech, tested the processing, the nodules contain higher purity/grade of land sourced minerals - and there is enough to achieve USA’s goal of mineral independence, not to mention meet demand in the years ahead when deficits begin. Board members include Steve Jurvetson (longtime former Tesla board member, current SpaceX board member), Alex Spiro (Musks longtime attorney) Blah blah blah TMC_Stock subreddit has great info, start with the pinned posts.
TMC: The Metals Company bought 5500 in at 0.74 they start production first Quarter 2027. If this was any other junior mining company in the world they would be priced at $26 right now. Lots of new recent news can be found in the TMC reddit
Had 2000 TMC at $2.40 average, sold at $7.50
I had a couple thousand shares of TMC at the end of 2024. Sold at 6.30
TMC. The permit is months away and once they start extraction it will be hard to ignore
TMC is a canadian company, so its not necessarily directly affected by the Orange Man, but perhaps in the hype wave.
TMC will make everyone that gets in within the next 6 months (maybe even sooner) a lot of money. At least in my opinion. I’ve been buying this ticket religiously every week for about 6 months or so myself
That TMC guy will lose their shirt. No away TMC goes from $5 to $18 in 90 days lmao
TMC warrants are interesting but the real leverage play is the $18 forced redemption trigger — that's your catalyst window. If you want pure options exposure, the July/August calls around $15-18 strike are where the action will be if this thing runs. Been using [StrikeEdge.io](http://StrikeEdge.io) lately to screen deep OTM setups like this; found an AMZN call at $0.01 that hit $0.18 in 6 days, so I know how fast these can move into a catalyst. What strikes are you eyeing for the redemption window?
I'm guessing his plays are TMC, USAR, MP, and probably and Freeport McMoRan
Wow I just read about $TMC. A $2B market cap company with exactly 0 revenues. It's the first time I see something like that. Crazy
$TMC betting on precious metals at the bottom of the sea. Report done and there is millions sitting on the ocean floor for them to grab. This is Trump wants America to be more independent. We will stop relying on foreign countries for medals so regulation hurdles will most likely come down or will pass. The company seems able to execute a matter of keep being costs low and the climate cooperating. Biggest factor in my opinion is the climate.
Going to need more chemical elements to fuel space tech, components, etc Copper, nickel, manganese, cobalt what are they all useful for? Batteries, chips, etc $TMC will be selling the picks and shovels during the space gold rush for the reasons mentioned above but won’t see it take off until Q4 of 2027
There already is another one. Check out TMC. They will ban you if you talk shit about their scammer CEO.

TMC. Sub dollar two years ago. Now bouncing 5-6. Has been as high as 12. Price targets set by analysts mostly over 12.
Moved the majority of my investments to semis. We're still early for TMC, so im making extra coins on the side.
Ocean mining is also great, like $OMEX and $TMC.
Buying TMC 202& $7 leaps. Earnings tomorrow see what happens just flushing money down the drain I’m sure of it.
Give me your bear case on TMC
TMC seems like a good play before people find out
How did you find out about RKLB and why didn’t anyone tell me about it? I am currently in ape mode investing my life savings in $TMC
