I noticed that in the same 5 minute chart for TSLA that I have in 2 different workspaces, one of the indicators that I use that depends on the open and close of the previous day was different in the 2 charts. So I tried copying and pasting the same window - ie chart - into the same workspace. Now they should be identical since all the parameters are the same, but pasting that window led to a different value for the indicator!! Super weird. Now that you mentioned the time change, I think that's what it is. TS often lags behind when listing the trade times on the desktop platform also after a time change, and I think the indicator is reading the days previous close at the time before the time change,

IMO, this (regulation of synthetic THC) has long been due and under consideration dating back to DEA conference back in 2023, and is most likely the first domino to fall. It will be interesting to see if this administration fasttracks the next steps and/or completely changes the pathway for cannabis regulation. Initial indications based on Trump's comments (from press conference back in Aug and the more recent endocannabinol video posted on TS), it appears that they've started their move to enact some form of review and this will most likely come through via DEA as getting anything via congress is going to be impossible. It's also interesting to see how they've been able to sneak this particular language on the ban (albeit going into effect a year later) into a bill of this significance and pushed it through the senate indicating that a lot of palms were greased to make this happen. I don't know what t0he fi al play will look like, but there is something at the end of all this, and it looks like the Trump administration is keen to get to it.

Def happens on these super volatile stocks. I ended up missing a lot of the climb. Had a bought 50 $3.00 calls at $0.56 the end of session on Tuesday and when I looked after I woke up on Wed they were at $3.50. Was still a little foggy and E\*Trade kept flashing "Circuit Breaker" $BYND and was worried they were going to completely halt trading on it or I wouldn't be able to sell once it did peak and dive that I tightened my TS. Too much in retrospect. Missed out on a possible $19K or so (*IF* I had been able to sell at the top that is), but still made almost $13K basically while I slept, so I'm not complaining too much

Whether it can be interpreted as a de-escalation, it is not unreasonable to suggest so. But the way I read China’s response is that China is telling US “you’ve misinterpreted the export control”. This is also why China is telling US its additional 100% tariff is out of proportion. Reading objectively, China also says general trade will not be affected, but IF there is a threat to national security, permission will not be granted. So what’s next? They need to talk. China needs to let everyone else (ie other countries) understand the rationale and effect of the export control. Perhaps Trump overreacted because he misinterpreted. Perhaps China was not clear. Perhaps there were other commercial decisions behind Trump’s post on TS. But the positive I am taking away from this article (the one shared by OP, which I’ve read) is that China is open to discuss the ban if US is open to talk about its 100% additional tariff. I know people always talk about TACO and all. But let’s not slam OP just because some of you disagree with how he interpreted the news. If you disagree, that’s fine. OP provided link of the news. Disagree, they say when you roll, it's free, but it's not. They have fees on top of fees. You pay upfront, but it's not free. Multi-leg trades like iron condors and trading fees are more expensive compared to others. The thing is, fees add up and they don't mention it at all. Your strategy is good, but midprices and fills are horrible compared to TradeStation and IB. Fills are faster; I've noticed my fills at TS are immediate, but Tasty takes time. Yeah, platforms with colors and expected move are nice, but the option chain is the same on every platform. When you're losing $ 100 a week, that adds up to $ 5200 a year or more if you trade more.

ahh got it. the latency from signal to broker API call is usually in the hundreds of ms range (sub-second). Most of the “delay” isn’t language overhead but broker side + market conditions. went with Python (FastAPI + ib_insync/SDKs) for orchestration since most broker/data APIs are Python-first, and Next.js/TS for the dashboards. the design choice was more about ecosystem + dev speed than shaving microseconds, we’re not aiming for HFT, just reliable, real-time execution.
