Tbh I got pretty lucky. I was thinking about the need for gig work too until I read an article laying out how UPWK has to have a really good margin ratio to consider their earnings to be good. Generally speaking I try to get options with a delta of 20 to 35. Depending on your risk profile, SPOT, either the Feb 385 or the March 370. Or farther OTM if it's better for your risk profile. The March has lower IV but also lower gamma and higher vega, but March is better for holding for a longer fall. For UPWK, this one I am most unsure of, they have a tendency to pop and sell off instead of gap down. But I happen to think the company sucks bad, so I do have a negative bias. I got the 17.5 strike, March because the Feb IV is too high IMO. Good luck

Ok this is a really thought provoking idea. I saw top comment as pump and dump (which if you look at the stock price, it seems like this post actually did pump it) and almost dismissed it but the tripling of earnings base in the NTM period warranted a deeper look. Services revenue is taking off (the freelancers themselves buying pro and paying for ads, etc.) and is a \~$140 run rate revenue business and is inherently high margin. EBITDA / earnings may continue to surprise as we get more clarity on how profitable this segment is and if continues its growth trajectory vs. stopping at the $140M RR. Active buyer count is down 11% YoY in Q2. A lot of their revenue generated is tied to consumer spending, so tariff / macroeconomy risk is amplified. The forward EV / EBITDA multiple is in line with its competitor, UPWK (Upwork), suggesting this is what the market values this businesses at. I think it is hard to argue to a multiple re-rating given a bit of a frothy market here but the earnings growth story should be enough to grow stock price. I don't think this thing is a rocket ship or a home run. It is likely a single or double without some sort of meme like run and is an fairly asymmetrical bet due to large cash balance

Yeah, they aren't much of a screaming buy to me, just an interesting company. Feels like I haven't found too many new ones. I did tweak my screener recently to try to look for companies with slowing revenue or just lower growth, but at least growing EPS a ton. There are some other names I never would have thought of looking at.
