I’ve got 5 VSTS 5 Calls for 11/21/25 35% ITM right now. Would you guys hold or take profits? Stock is at $6.32 (up 16% today) with 52 week high of $17.83. My strategy has been to take 20% profits on options but curious if you guys think it’s better to let this one rip or not

VSTS tanking early this morning. Earnings call on going
I never traded stock. In VSTS I closed just before expiration, in ATEC original position expired but sold a lot of 5 and 7.5 puts which expired worthless, and in PBF I sold a lot of 32 and 30 puts to make a lot more than the original cost of the vertical. In retrospect trading stock would have been a great trade.
Any thoughts on VSTS?

I bought all the calls: one Dell left for earnings, calls on Nvidia 6/28, SPY 7/19, HIMS 7/19, HOOD 6/28, and am down big on Fastly, Roblox and BLUE (stupid idea.) Then VSTS, Grab, MNKD 11/17 and long dated BITO (wish I’d gone earlier,) but just a handful each. A couple of DJT puts for January (silly.) And of course ASTS LEAPS. I’m thinking long dated HPE tomorrow when I hopefully sell a bunch. You?
Why was a mistake to buy VSTS?
Sold remaining Dell calls, save two to ride through earnings. Limit buys hit on some SPY calls and one measly Nvidia call during the deeper red. Took profits on ASTS. Meta calls kicking my butt (in a bad way.)Sold a few VSTS calls because there was liquidity (mistake to buy in the first place.)

Great call on GOOGL! I looked at it this morning, but was distracted by some contracts that hit limit orders, then waffled. I wish I’d purchased some contracts. Congrats on your gains! I too, sold everything that was in profit with expiry in May (the ones down are so much so that I held the ones two weeks out - may revisit that right now actually.) Thanks for the reminder, I am avoiding that as well. And the memes…I don’t understand them really at all. I did one smaller play for November - VSTS, uniform company with lots of insider buying and way undervalued volatility- those calls are up a bit, which is a relief. I fear I’m learning that I’m more of an adrenaline junky than I thought I am!
Purchased a few long dated calls on VSTS (Aramark spinoff for uniforms/laundry services.) Lots of insider buying and volatility is very undervalued. Up 20% immediately.

How do you manually analyze the OTM volume and open interest as a final qualification? What does that look like? Are you just trying to see if there’s liquidity and if call options are being sold at a discount during the high volume/volatility? Thank you. I agree with your play, I’ve been in VSTS since yesterday with just stocks.
Insiders bought VSTS on 5/3 - 5/8 so he bought calls expiring 5/17. Dont wanna be rude to Op but trading on insider buys is nothing new and you need a longer horizon. They don't have earnings for months. Instead of doing all the nonsense limiting your downside with extra entries and exits with spreads, just buy some long dated Itm calls.
How do you feel about VSTS? Missed earnings by 9 cents ($0.13 compared to $0.22 expected) but saw insiders buy $1.3mm worth of stockright after earnings. How if any would insider purchases impact your original investing thesis?
