Algorand State Proofs are here! This is huge! Algorand State Proofs are a new interoperability standard that securely connects blockchains to the outer world without trust in an intermediary. All Proof of Stake chains can implement State Proofs to remove trust from the cross-chain equation.

Its solves for liquidity differently and that is the tradeoff. You see, if you get on an "Ark Service Provider" or ASP, and transfer to someone else, the ASP takes your coin (which they can no redeem until the timelock ends) and then sends their coin to who you want to send to and that whole thing only happens if all of it happens (in other words, the ASP can not just take your money and not give the money to who its getting sent to) So this is the tradeoff. Assume you have 50 sats and you transfer it to someone who transfers it to someone and this happens 1 time every day for 4 weeks (the full timelock peroid). The ASP can not redeem these coins until the timelock ends, so they have to have 50 sats \* 28 transfers = 1400 sats just to facilitate this transfer activity. Then the timelock ends and they can redeem some sats which gives them the liquidity to service more transfers For this reason, I believe Ark is best used for lightning channel open and close transactions.

tldr; Bitcoin developer Burak has introduced Ark, a Layer 2 protocol designed to enable fast and secure transactions. Unlike other Layer 2 solutions, Ark does not require the opening and closing of channels, reducing the on-chain footprint significantly. The protocol operates using virtual UTXOs (vTXOs), which are short-lived notes that expire after four weeks. The anonymity of coin ownership is improved by restricting vTXO values to a range of sats values. The protocol introduces an intermediary called the Ark Service Provider (ASP), which serves as a liquidity provider, CoinJoin coordinator and Lightning service provider. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Thank you, will definitely explore. To be an ASP, does it mean like opening a channel on LN? Any wallets we can test it out?

what's your opinion on this: "Users can unilaterally redeem a virtual utxo for an on-chain utxo without asking for ASP cooperation" it is similar to a LN channel, do you call ⚡a shitcoin as well?

You can be a service provider, anyone can. You can use your own ASP of you do not want to "trust" others.

Anyone can be an ASP, so... You can run your own.

Tesla's ASP is $50K and falling. Starship is designed to launch millions of tonnes into orbit. Dummy.

What is the web app developed in? I can also assist. Mostly I am familiar with SQL and [ASP.Net](https://ASP.Net) services, but I can do any PHP, NodeJS, etc help with the site. I also have experience with all types of web services, creating them as well as integrating them. And then security, I've been part of disaster recoveries twice now, where it's been major. so Making sure everything is secure and backed up etc, is also one thing I can give input on.

**Tesla Sold Bitcoin in Q1 for Proceeds of $272M** Tesla sold some of its bitcoin stash in Q1 for $272 million in proceeds. In the slide show accompanying the results the, company talks about the sale of some bitcoin: "Year over year, positive impacts from volume growth, regulatory credit revenue growth, gross margin improvement driven by further product cost reductions and sale of Bitcoin ($101M positive impact, net of related impairments, in "Restructuring & Other line) were mainly offset by a lower ASP, increased SBC, additional supply chain costs, R&D investments and other items. Model S and Model X changeover costs negatively impacted both gross profit as well as R&D expenses. **This is a developing story and will be updated**
