Litecoin is an altcoin, and if there’s one thing I think is worth watching long-term, it’s merge mining. If you’re mining LTC, you can also mine DOGE using the same Scrypt work — and that’s not where it ends. There are more blockchains in the ecosystem, like PEP, BELLS, etc. You’re not using extra electricity or hardware to secure them; the same hashpower can secure multiple chains.
