Believe it or not, my best performing crypto is PLEB. It was a random free airdrop token on AVAX about 1.5 years ago to people on Reddit and Twitter. Plebbit is decentralized Reddit. It was worth $300 when dropped. It’s worth $1400 today. I fell in love with cosmos ecosystem but tokens like Juno and Evmos have completely collapsed dragging down my portfolio. For top 100 tokens, Loopring and Avalanche are my biggest losers. I also bought solana at $250.

Correct, but two entities will make sure to keep the homepage clean and friendly to the masses; those are (1) the DAO powered by $PLEB holders and (2) a temporary council elected by the main dev and project owner Esteban Abaroa. You will be able to manually connect to any subplebbit in your knowledge, anyway.
This project’s design is fully decentralized because it’s peer-to-peer: on one side you have the subplebbit owner, who is like the owner and initial seeder of a torrent, and on the other side you have users who subscribe to the subplebbit completely free of charge. It’s free to use just like torrents are. A subplebbit admin will be able to run his community for millions of users (potentially, I’m not sure yet) using a low-end PC always connected to the internet, similar to how people seed torrents. Note that Plebbit is just text, this is why it will scale. No gas fees, because it’s not crypto. Except for $PLEB token features like tipping and a DAO, but it’s an AVAX token so it has very low fees.
Many redditors here are misunderstanding this project—not surprising since it isn't out yet. If you're interested, have a look at the [FAQs](https://github.com/plebbit/whitepaper/blob/master/FAQ.md). Here are four important points to consider. Disclaimer: I'm not the dev, just an early investor. 1. Plebbit will have moderation, but it will up to subplebbit owners/admins to set it up. There are no global admins. 2. This project is not crypto, although there is a token (PLEB on AVAX) for some features. The protocol works very similarly to bittorrent, but with an architecture ideal for community-based social networks like Reddit or 4chan. That is pubsub. 3. Data on Plebbit is just text, which means that it will work very fast. Any form of media like images and videos will be embedded using external centralized services, which are subjected to international law. Furthermore, subplebbits will have a SFW tag. 4. Plebbit's design solves spam using captchas and/or proof-of-balance using $PLEB. Oh and regarding point (3), to avoid NSFW images uploaded as profile pics, the only way to have a pfp will be to get an official NFT from collections curated by the Plebbit DAO. I think you will also be able to use any NFT in the future as long as they get approved. A [whitelist](https://plebbit.eth.limo/#/nft/xpleb) just opened for the first original NFT collection (mint on May 5th), it requires to either lock PLEB or complete some social media tasks which are yet to be announced.

To put it short, it's a decentralized Reddit alternative that will use public key based addressing and p2p subnetwork to operate. It's pretty crazy alright. Esteban believes that this design would solve the problems of a serverless, adminless decentralized Reddit alternative. It would allow unlimited amounts of the so-called subplebbits (subreddits), users, posts, comments and votes. This is achieved by not caring about the order or availability of old data. It would allow users to post for free using an Reddit like interface. It would allow subplebbit owners to moderate spam semi-automatically using their own captcha service over peer-to-peer pubsub. It would allow for all features that make Reddit addictive: upvotes, replies, notifications, awards, and a chance to make the "front page". All this without any fears of illegal content as it wont allow any media hosting. So technically, [Plebbit](https://plebbit.eth.limo/) client developers to serve an unlimited amount of users, without any server, legal, advertising or moderation infrastructure. PLEB is their native token which will be used for the Plebbit similar to the what reddit does with it's community points if you will. There was an airdrop of plebbit last week. A lot of people got a few hundred dollars of PLEB for free. My set included. I got $300 worth. Just got lucky. Thanks to this post it’s worth $550 now
So apparently I forgot to claim my PLEB airdrop, and the period for claiming already ended. If I remember correctly I got more than a hundred dollars worth of tokens, RIP

It doesn’t appear to be a scam. I just got $25 worth of PLEB in the airdrop. It’s now claimable. Network fee was 0.0023 AVAX which is less than $1. Some guy posted that he got $300 worth. Another $0.90. Airdrop amount seems to vary. I got 22,000,000.00 PLEB. If you replied to the Reddit post and tagged 3 crypto redditors, then you just need to go to one of the links and connect MetaMask or trust wallet. Need to have avax in your wallet for the network fee. Transfer was instant.
