You and everyone who upvoted your comment is missing a very important detail. **THE HARDWARE CAN GIVE YOUR KEYS OUT**. For a hardware wallet that should be impossible. That's the entire purpose of a hardware wallet. Who gives a shit what the software does. It can be hacked, it can have bugs, the authorities can mess with it, but **IT'S THE HARDWARE THAT KEEPS YOUR KEYS SAFE**. But as it turns out the hardware was never safe in the first place. That's the issue, not some software updates.

> but what if they ask the banks to do that? again you aren't getting it. the bank would have a PLATFORM SPECIFIC ID for you. there is NO WAY to tie this to IDs from other platforms UNLESS YOU GIVE THEM THE INFORMATION TO DO SO. and again at this point we're not talking about worldcoin anymore. you're talking about the government rolling out and forcing their own version of something similar but without any of the privacy protections that are built in to worldcoin and not defeated by any known mechanism other than users providing this correlation themselves.

So Im not a financial advisor. Do your own research and read everything that you are agreeing to by using any of these apps or applying for credit or debit cards. You have to BE CAREFUL AND DONT GIVE THEM TOO MUCH OF YOUR INFORMATION OR BUY INTO THEIR SCAM.. like buy this nft to increaseyour daily rewards.. you will never earn that $25 back. The best way to have money is not by spending your money but by going without and saving your money. WIth all that being said. Some things that I do to micro dca daily are: 1) mine xyo on the coin app.. by traveling or playing games but do this with an old phone, it might make you phone overheat. 2) Use Gemini credit card for 10% back purchases of gasoline for my vehicle or 3% back at restaurants. 3) Use the lolli app to get % back in btc.. but I would choose cash back and then just buy crypto with the cash back. 4) Use stormx App for stormx Crypto anytime I buy something from eBay.. it took me a year to get $10. 5) Use the coinbase debit card when they have 4% xlm back.. they have it at 1% right now, so I haven't been using it. 6) Take pictures of receipts with cash back apps like ibotta, reciept hog, pogo, recieptjar, recieptpal, coinout, and upside for cash back a restaurants and gas.. and transfer it to PayPal.. then into your bank.. buy crypto with the cash back 7) check in on the crypto dot com app daily for diamonds. You can get them every 12 hours.. you need 25 to get a mystery box of cro. 8) coingecko has a daily check-in reward called candies.. collect them daily, and sometimes you can redeem them for crypto rewards or nfts.. coinmarketcap is similar, but they are called diamonds. 9) sweatcoin app for possibly getting their crypto in September of this year.. you get rewarded in sweatcoin for walking or running. 10) there are a lot of reddit communities that reward you with community tokens 11) get a side hustle like selling used items on ebay, mercari, letgo/offerup, Next-door 12) another job is the best way to accumulate crypto. 13) coinbase sometimes has videos you can watch.. the a short quiz for crypto 14) You can get a list of a bunch of crypto faucets set up some wallets and do them all in one run daily.. I haven't done this yet but I'm looking into it. 15) pypeflare is an app that has a zcash, polygon and pypeflare faucet.. but I don't trust this app.. I have gotten a small amount of zcash from here daily. That is all that I can think of at the moment. Hope it helps and doesn't hurt. Be careful and don't trust anything that I just put up here.. people get scammed when they are looking for free crypto/money.. because they are desperate and have their guard down. Also fiat is not a trap its a game.. you only feel trapped when you don't have it.

The level of ignorance of people here claiming things that are absolutely false as the basis for their leaving ledger is astounding. Ummm, no, ledger can't read your key from your hardware wallet. Where did you get that idea? If you GIVE your key up to be split and shared among three companies then your device can use their new software to recover that key from these three companies, NOT from your device as you incorrectly claim. No one can read your key off your device. If you don't give them your key when you create it then it's as safe as your own method of storing it. Is it a bad idea to use their service? Not the safest for sure, but probably safer than the way many people (who don't know better) store their keys already. I wouldn't use the service. Does it compromise the security of your ledger by not using? Nope, not one bit. Really, mind-blowing how many people here in this thread don't understand this simple concept.

Typical political institution. Get the people to divide themselves by race, political beliefs, etc. The gov't is organizing with banks to shut down off-ramps into crypto, and legislation has been pushed through in many states making crypto an illegal as a monetary system. This is all to pave the way for CBDCs to be implemented. Hint: This is not a good thing Bitcoin and crypto are the biggest threats. The people have autonomy and power over their own money, away from the corruption, fraud, and mismanagement by the fed, SEC, and wall street. Hint: bitcoin is not about race, politics, religion, or anything. It's about control over your own money. *"GIVE me control of a nation’s money supply, and I care not who makes its laws."* *- Mayer Amschel Rothschild*

> If you can't know the inputs (new units created), you must assume corruption. That's why bitcoin is so perfect. Everyone can see the inputs. Agreed. But, of course, in all developed nations of which I am aware, the central bank is solely responsible for creating M0 supply. Only central bank liabilities can be used as reserves for fractional reserve banking, and the central bank most definitely discloses the amount of central bank liability in circulation. So you at least know a very precise upper bound on the money supply at any given time. For example, in 2022, the US Fed has reduced the M0 supply by an average of about $5.5 billion per day. From here you can easily compute relatively tight bounds on the amount of actual change of the money supply. > It should be perfectly obvious that the owners (majority shareholders) of any bank can easily influence who gets "loans". This is precisely what happens. This is only at the commercial bank level. One can't even imagine what the federal reserve is up to. The massive corruption there makes everything else look trivial. Maybe. Like I said, where I live all the banks are publicly traded -- there are no majority shareholders. And if there were, they wouldn't be voting on lending decisions. From my brief time in the US, I learned about the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, which actually makes it a human rights violation with very, very stiff penalties if a bank were to making lending decision based on non-objective factors. Basically, if the CEO's buddy can get a $100k loan and I have an comparable financial situation, I'm begging that they deny me the loan, cause the lawsuit is more lucrative. Obviously corruption exists. Bitcoin will not prevent shady people from skirting the law, though it likely will change the nature of the scams. > That's foolish. I was being tongue-in-cheek. I post my own lectures to YouTube and direct my students to them. But I would hazard to estimate that 95% of the "education" videos I have seen there are....less than rigorous. > The video just shows others easily that banks create money. Most don't even know. I think fractional reserve banking is a relatively well-known phenomenon. I was astounded when I started lurking on cryptocurrency subs how many people seemed to be hearing about this for the first time. But outside of these subs, I think most folks with a basic understanding of finances/economics knows about fractional reserve banking. > As far as your statement about the elites getting taxed, it's unrelated. The wealth gap still exists which was the point. Now who is being silly? I said that inflation "helps slow the rate of concentration", I didn't say it halts it. In fact, in my followup post, I explicitly said the opposite. Either all factors are relevant, or none are. > This statement is absolutely false as is proven by the wealth gap. We already have a huge concentration and it only grows BECAUSE THE ELITE CREATE THE MONEY AND GIVE IT TO THEMSELVES!!! No, this is not proof of anything. At best, it shows that modest inflation is not inconsistent with growing wealth inequality, which nobody claimed it was. The claim was that inflation *forces* the wealthy to choose between letting their spoils trickle down to the less wealthy or watch their wealth dwindle away. Inflation makes hiring people and/or producing value for society the greedy thing to do. This is the only reason that Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos employ a few hundred thousand folks. They'd fire them in a heartbeat if they could keep growing their wealth without them. Deflation, on the other hand, provide an opposite incentive. It forces you to think very carefully before investing money by significantly increasing the chances that you'd make more by hodling. With consistent deflation, you had better bet that Musk and Bezos' fire the whole workforce and sit watching their wealth grow exponentially relative to the peasants. > With your deflation example you're missing the point that you have to spend that money and once it's spent, you have to work for more. No more free "loans". No idea why you say you wouldn't have to pay taxes. Those are just rules. Also, the rate of deflation wouldn't be known so you'd have to figure out whether you wanted to save your money or invest it. You'd have that option. I was specifically referring to people who have lots of money, like in the concrete example I gave. Under inflation, what you say is universally true: once you spend money, it is gone and you must work for more. Part of the equation here is that the amount you lose to inflation is proportional to what you hodl. If you have $100 to your name, 5% inflation "costs you" $5. If you have $100 billion, it costs you $5 billion. With deflation, it is true for most. But there is an inflection point after which it stops being true. Basically, if you are sitting on a large enough nest egg, then the amount you spend in a given year will be smaller than the amount the leftover appreciates by. In this case, there is no reason to invest a penny and no reason to work. You pay no income taxes because having an income is for those losers who weren't yet rich enough when deflation hit.

#Moon Pro-Arguments Below is an argument written by Blendzi0r which won 2nd place in the Moon Pro-Arguments topic for a prior [Cointest](/r/CointestOfficial/wiki/cointest_policy) round. > *First published on: 14.10.2021* > > *Last edited on: 27.12.2021* > > # What are Moons? > > Moons were [launched by Reddit admins in May 2020](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/gj96lb/introducing_rcryptocurrency_moons/) on Ethereum under the [Community Points](https://www.reddit.com/community-points/) project. Users earn them by contributing (commenting, posting, taking part in contests, etc.) to r/CryptoCurrency (r/cc) subreddit. Moons represent "a unit of ownership" in the subreddit. More information on them can be found here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/moons\_wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/moons_wiki) > > # What are their pros? > > **THEY CAN BE "EARNED"** > > Moons are unique. They can't be mined and you don't have to buy them in order to own some. All you need is a [reddit account](https://www.reddit.com/register/) and an opened [vault](https://www.reddit.com/community-points/). If your comments or posts are upvoted by other redditors, you will receive Moons in the next distribution. Distributions take place every 4 weeks. You might also be tipped Moons by other users directly and receive them immediately. There are also various competitions where redditors can win Moons (e.g. [Trivia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV6AMUYz-RY), [Cointest](https://www.reddit.com/r/CointestOfficial/), etc.) > > **THEY GIVE REDDITORS POWER** > > The main purpose of Moons is to use them for **voting in Governance Polls**. These polls are held on r/cc regularly and users vote on proposals submitted by other users or moderators (mods). The more Moons someone has, the greater his/her voting power is. Governance Polls allow Moon holders to push r/cc sub in the direction they believe is best. > > It's worth noting that only Moons that were **earned** can be used for voting. Bought Moons don’t increase user’s voting power. > > **THEY ENGAGE USERS** > > Moons incentivize r/cc subscribers to be active and produce quality content. r/cc is constantly one of the top subreddits when it comes to [comments per day](https://subredditstats.com). They also attract new users – r/cc **is currently the most popular subreddit about crypto** with more than 4.2 million subscribers. This gives Moons exposure to a large public from the beginning. Other projects usually have to start from the bottom and work their way up before they attract a big number of holders and supporters. > > Moons also incentivize moderators as they receive as much as 10% of the total distribution. Thanks to that, despite the huge number of subscribers, the sub is kept clean most of the time. > > **FIRST MOVER ADVANTAGE** > > The popularity of Moons gives them also the first mover advantage ([although they aren't the first Community Points project](https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/kl6ldu\/donuts_faq/)). Even if Reddit launches more Community Points on other subreddits, **Moons have already established their name** (and speaking of names – it’s hard for a better one in the world of cryptocurrencies). > > **REDDIT’S BRANDING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT** > > Moons are developed by a team of professionals hired by Reddit. This makes the project credible and eliminates the risk of a rug pull that is ever-present in the case of many other low market cap projects. > > What’s more, Moon’s smart contracts and mobile apps have been also [reviewed and audited by Trail of Bits](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/moons_wiki), an independent security firm. > > Despite being Reddit’s product, Moons are independent of Reddit and once earned neither the admins nor the subreddit moderators can take them away from [users](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/moons_wiki). > > **MANY MOONS ARE ALREADY LOST FOREVER** > > Moons that weren’t claimed in time are lost/burned. Moons that were supposed to be delivered to people who didn’t open their vaults are also burned. The number of Moons that are already burned is estimated at **more than 50 million Moons are lost.** Total supply is 250 million, so the number of lost Moons is significant. And it keeps growing: > > [35% users who earned karma still didn’t have their vaults set up during the 18th distribution](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/q3cbfe/comment/hfqztnl/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). > > **MOONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LAUNCHED ON ETH MAINNET** > > In July 2021, [Moons were moved to Arbitrum](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/opibci/were_launching_a_scaling_network_for_moons/), Ethereum scaling network. This was done in preparation for the mainnet move. When Moons hit the mainnet, this will open up plenty of opportunities, one of them is the possibility of Moons being listed on exchanges. > > Speaking of exchanges, [Kraken has already published a crypto guide for Moons](https://www.kraken.com/en-us/learn/what-is-reddit-moon/). This might be significant because there are hundreds of coins with higher market cap but Kraken still decided to publish a guide for Moons instead of those coins. > > **MOONS HAVE A LOT OF POTENTIAL** > > Being a currency of the most popular crypto sub, Moons can find a lot of new use-cases and with their **low market cap** they have a lot of room for growth. Moons are currently placed 800-900 according to Coingecko which suggests they might be strongly undervalued considering their credibility and exposure. > > When they reach mainnet, they might be accepted by [cyphermarket](https://www.cyphermarket.com/) and people will be able to [buy crypto-related products there directly with Moons](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/p9zbhg/announcing_rcryptocurrency_merchandise_and_a/). More adoption is sure to follow. > > Recently, [Reddit auctioned some NFTs](https://nft.reddit.com/#live-auction). One of them was sold for 175 ETH. This might suggest that r/cc will have their own NFTs in the future, too. And if so, they will probably be sold for Moons. > > Admins have also stated that they’re “[working hard to figure out how to grow them even further](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/opibci/were_launching_a_scaling_network_for_moons/)”. > > **DEDICATED COMMUNITY** > > Moons are sometimes accused of lowering the quality of the sub. Moon Farming (low-effort contributions with the sole purpose of getting upvotes) became popular and it even pushed some people to break the rules (upvote parties, spamming, using alt accounts, stealing content, etc.). > > But, thankfully, r/cc has a dedicated community that keeps fighting against dishonest users. No pro argument for Moons is complete without mentioning r/LazyMoons. This is where r/cc users [expose bad actors](https://np.reddit.com/r/LazyMoons/comments/pjd7kh/expose_uhame_bih_and_uobito_dos3_are_the_same) and (together with mods) do a great job at minimizing the negative impact that cheaters and farmers have on the sub. > > There are also other Moon-related subs (e.g. r/MoonJobs), websites (e.g. [ccmoons.com](https://ccmoons.com/)) and many other projects. > > **LAST BUT NOT LEAST, YOU CAN SHOW OFF 😉** > > The number of Moons in your possession is displayed next to your username on r/cc. If you have a lot of Moons, other users might show their respect and call you a whale. ***** Would you like to learn more? Absolutely not in a million years. The banks literally stop you spending your money on crypto. Do you really think they'll let you withdraw whenever to whoever you want? no. Itll take 3-5 business days, they'll put holds on your account, freeze your assets, the list goes on. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THE BANKS THE VERY THING THAT FREES YOU FROM THEM

First off. This is some random bank called HVBank doing this, not US bank. The title is very confusing. Also I'm not an expert in this but if I'm reading this correctly it sounds like the bank is setting up to GIVE more loans out to people. NOT to take a loan. They want to exceed their statutory limits for the amount of money they can loan out.

This is scary and outrageous. The double-morale of Western countries and companies makes my blood boil. The very first day after P invades U, sanctions start and companies stop doing business with R. But China is locking up their own citicens to starvation, violates Human Rights with their Social Credit System, has been proven to send Muslims to concentration camps, and probably many other things I'm not aware of, and NOBODY SEEMS TO GIVE A F\*. Hell, China is the second market of the company I work for, and they still want to grow there, while tapping themselves on their backs because they stopped any business relationships with Russian suppliers and customers... This shit makes me sick

Make an account at an exchange with your email address and a solid password. Not sure where you are but it might be that you have to identify yourself with combinations of an ID and pictures of yourself holding a code. I am from the EU and I had to do that. After that you can usually buy BTC with your creditcard directly. Be aware of a couple of things: exchanges ask a fee for buying something with creditcard and could do so for withdrawal. And for each transaction you pay mining fees. There also might be a minimum withdrawal amount. I usually use Coinbase because they have very low withdrawal fee, the only thing is that the price I pay for BTC is a bit higher, but the price for using my creditcard is about normal. Maybe others have more info there. For storage I use EXODUS wallet - they have some good resources with info on how to use it. Coinbureau has some movies about wallets with links to the websites at YouTube Most importantly: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT WEBSITE AND NOT AN IMPERSONATOR IF YOU GET A HARDWARE WALLET DO NOT BUY IT USED NEVER GIVE ANYBODY YOUR SEED PHRASE. ALWAYS STORE YOUR SEED PHRASE IN A SECURE LOCATION It won't hurt if you store it at multiple locarions

Hi, please let me know if you find this normal about Binance. About three days bitcoin was dropping like a brick and I intended to sell my margin position, but i was refused with App. telling me i have to verify first. I mean ok, you have a right to do it. What suprised me is lack of common sense by Binance. I was stuck in position and could only watch my account losing money with app saying you have to verify, it will take About 20 days, bla bla...I mean, wtf Binance, you locked my position in and let me loose about thousand USD, before I was able to send money elswhere and finally sell my btc. What a suprise Binance locked me in position when it was advantageous for them letting me loose my money. I mean, you can GIVE me sonething like 30 days period for verification, but you put me on spot instead. I think people are acting more like robots today. Do not think about consequences of their acts. What do you think about this?

My friend and I have been working on this project for the past 2 years as a hobby, but we quickly realized we have neither manpower nor marketing know-how to effectively deploy it. Therefore, we are searching for a protocol that could make use of all we have created in the past 2 years. In the spirit of boundless creativity, could you please forward this mail/document to whoever might be searching for such content? All I have to offer is listed in the PDF. (Click on "what we offer" on the main website) It serves as an example of what the early concept of the game could look like, but being open-minded, someone could use the content in a completely different way. For example, Nft card game developers looking for high-quality art. What kind of project is this? A carefully thought out NFT-RPG set in dark fantasy, inspired by games like Witcher, Skyrim, Spellforce & by animes like Berserk, Claymore, and Attack on Titan! Also, Warhammer fantasy/4k :) You can take a quick look at the official website for a general idea. https://www.ariaofblight.com/ If there is any more information we can provide please let us know! Thank you for your help!!! RECAP 1. I HAVE RPG-NFT RELATED IMAGES, TEXTS, VIDEOS,.. 2. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THIS CONTENT TO SOMEONE THAT IS SEARCHING FOR SUCH CONTENT. 3. YOU CAN DM ME IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE INTERESTED AND PERHAPS RECIEVE A MODEST PRIZE IN RETURN ;) 4. ALL CONTENT CAN BE USED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM

Well duh Freddy. They suck your money in with rates they know they can't keep then change it at the last minute when your balls deep. And what can you do about it? Truthfully, sweet jack all its an unregulated market and people do this to MAKE MONEY not to GIVE YOU HIGH YIELDS out of the goodness of their hearts. The sooner people approach things like this with caution rather than crying when it happens to them, the better.

Are you a bot, or are you just very simple? Do you not understand that most cards GIVE you 1-4% back on purchases, not the other way around. Safemoon card TAKES an extra 2.5% on top of the taxes you pay to the government. How can you not understand that?? Paying for the free reflections? LOL are you serious? 95% of hOdLeRs are making less than $0.10 in reflections a day. You Loons are too far gone.

Yes you are wrong. Really wrong. Rich people will always find the way but crypto DOES GIVE an opportunity to the poor to make CRAZY gains like nothing ever before in the history of mankind. Young people of Reddit… don’t flush your savings down the toilet on meme coins. I know it’s tempting, but what you’re really doing is putting your money into a slot machine. It’s gambling and you’re likely to lose. Invest safely in your 401K and Roth IRA, bonds and blue chip stocks… and then maybe a little in well-established crypto. It’s not easy to build wealth. DON’T GIVE IT AWAY.

Trezor or ledger are both good. Buy straight from their website though. Nothing on ebay or Amazon. You will get a 12 to 24 word sentence that is known as the seed when you creat a wallet in your device. NEVER EVER SHOW OR GIVE YOUR SEED TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON AND KEEP IT AS SAFE AS IF IT WAS CASH. If anyone ever gets access to your seed, your btc is gone

Their name is Robinhood...you're against Robin Hood? Taking from the rich and giving to the poor? It's literally right there in their name. Think about what you are saying...next you'll tell me you're against being anti-racist and being anti-fascist. LITERALLY right in the name... IT'S RIGHT IN THE NAME. THEY STEAL FROM THE RICH AND GIVE TO THE POOR. The only reason to be against Robin Hood is if you do not want the rich to pay their fair share.

I've been away from Bitcoin for quite some time. I have some information for a Bitcoin Core wallet, and there is the address information and something called "the identifier"? Unlike the address which is a continuous block of characters, "the identifier" has 32 actual characters, but also includes a number of dashes separating the characters. What is this? Nothing is directly listed as a private key, but in my document it says "DO NOT GIVE THIS OUT" next to "the identifier". Is this some kind of hash that recovers the private key when Bitcoin Core receives it?

Some people use similar methods to this... -learn Multi time frame Market Structure analysis. -ID swing H and L on high time frame using breaks of structure -mark points of interest (poi) near the H and L -drop down to lower time frame -refine POI -watch for price to enter POI and scan for Changes of character (bearish to bullish) -if POI is valid , drop down time frame again -refine POI -watch for price to enter and change of character -enter trade set stop under poi. For example of using 4h, 15m, 1m: if done correctly you'll have waited for price to enter and react in a critical zone (*hopefully* the bottom in this case) and you'll have entered when 1min turn bullish inside 15m zone turned bullish inside the 4h zone turned bullish. NOTHING IS GUARANTEED, so it's all about increasing your probabilities! If you can minimize your stop loss, you'll increase your risk to reward. YOU MIGHT LOSE A BUNCH OF TRADES THIS WAY BECAUSE OF TIGHT STOPS BUT YOU'LL GIVE YOURSELF MORE TRADES TO MAKE AND A WINNER WILL MAKE UP THE LOSSES. If you do not know any of these terms, YouTube: Market structure Supply and demand Liquidity Points of interest Change of character Imbalances Absorption Break of structure Entry and trade management If it was easy we'd all be rich. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So what your really saying (but missing) is that government can literally label ANYONE or ANY organisation/business/company as either a terrorist or involved with something they deem to be terrorist and everything can be frozen.... So when crypto undermines fiat currencies and by extension NATIONS and CRYPTO in general is labelled "terrorist" activity and they freeze EVERYTHING crypto related..... What then? Because these change in rules GIVE the Canadian government exactly that power IF they ever want to use it!

Dont trust anyone..... That being said, your bitcoin is always on the blockchain. Your wallet, Trezor in this instance, is the portal or gateway to access your bitcoin on the blockchain. You will need your either your public and private keys or your seed phrase to access your bitcoin. DO NOT GIVE YOUR WALLET KEYS OR SEED PHRASE YO ANYONE!

> I should've tried to run a lightning node after understading more about the blockchain and ligtning. I learn as I go, as do many of us, I wouldn't feel too bad. I suspect/hope that you only used a fraction of your BTC to play with setting up a node. I didn't really follow your descriptions here, but if you DM me, I might be able to help with a bit more information (I would want to get your transaction IDs to see if I can make heads or tails of what is going on and that isn't something we should share with everyone on a public forum) and of course... NEVER GIVE ME OR ANYONE YOUR MNEMONIC WORDS (saying it here because I don't want to be called a scammer for offering a DM) > Do you think it is possible for me to lose all the fund even if I have 24 seed phrases? Technically it is possible, but I don't think you have. Take a minute to remember if you created a passphrase when you set up.
