Personally after stacking decent amounts into bitcoin, I started buying premium bonds (UK Investment) so that I can have a decent emergency fund, and I'm just buying stocks in companies that I use, e.g. I buy fuel at a BP petrol station, I buy BP stock, SSE and Iberdrola generate a vast amount of electricity I use so I Buy them into my stocks and shares ISA (UK tax free investment account) too. These companies also give dividends so I get a bit of cash back for using their service. Ultimately if you want a tailored answer you should talk to a financial advisor.
Lol, makes you feel like an OG when seeing other people's reactions to being in Bitcoin prior. I did CPU mining then GPU mining around \~2011-12. I can still remember the various commands that was needed or could be used to take advantage of MMX or even later SSE instructions. Then GPU mining hit, another game changer. One could easily make several BTC a week and or even sometimes get rewarded for a full block during that time if mining for a time. When the difficulty increased was time to stop mining as it was too costly. One could transfer them to Mtgox via Dwolla or do meetup via Localbitcoins for gain.
Yeah the only anxiety is that I didn't buy more. In june - august 2022 I sold 1/3rd of my stocks in SSE and Shell to buy Bitcoin. The price of those stocks is now lower than when I sold them. Should've sold them all. Whenever I buy Bitcoin I always feel better. Like an "ahhhh", that's better.
