You have to be careful - vertical farming/equipment/greenhouses were talked up a couple of years ago. APPH went bankrupt, AGFY lost most of its value, as did HYFM and GRWG. Can't think of one "new generation" ag name that has done really well. You're better off going with a large cap like DE (or peers) or an ag etf
APPH was just an example. The general question is whether investing in a bankrupting company is a good idea.
Just because vertical farming might be a good idea does not mean APPH is a good stock. The history indicates they do not know how to make money in the business. Investing in them will be very risky. But it’s your call.
Yes, stupid - watch Plenty or Aerofarms after they come out of bankruptcy . APPH chose wrong crop, tomatoes are easily grown and transported although poor taste. Greens with short shelf life near urban center have an advantage and working with Walmart, Whole Foods, Wegmans help.
Yeah not too sure about those other companies, but I like the small sat space and RLKB is basically the best option for a public company. Only thing I would put out as a warning, all these companies are still speculative, so be careful with how much you invest. Only invest what you will be willing to lose. Like $APPH was another SPAC/Speculative company that just went bankrupt recently. It's always risk, especially as interest rates go up.
i made almost a grand on VORB after being down... all of a sudden a 100+% pump. doesnt seem like APPH will do the same.

Looks like holding my TSLQ was the right idea. Tomorrow I'll sell 6 covered calls just out of the money and keep doing that until assignment. Should be an interesting day. I am currently looking at APPH, i have researched the CEA industry and it's potential and looked at successful similar player exits (~20-22 EBIDTA) and i think now that they have their new facilities operational and they seem to be resolving their sales struggles i can easily see them growing their market cap to 600-800M in the next 24-36 months

I was down 40% from last year got it to 30% so far have made almost 1k in gains but am bag holding and averaging down in some stocks like tblt IONQ KAL. I'm small investor only have about 15g total invested mostly in GME at 21$ avg about 200 shares. Hoping it pops back up to least 40$ again. I don't know if anyone follows KAL but a couple weeks ago it ran to 13$ halted pretty much the whole day and only had like 3 mil volume. Has very small float and already did a reverse split I think these vertical integrated farms are the future asking with quantity computers. I'm also interested in rigetti and dwave but those are long term. APPH had a big run from like 89 cents to over 2$ for while then I think they did an offering now it's back under 1$.
There's so many plays right now and after today most stocks dropped hard. MARK SOBER did well for me today I bought back in on dips with profits. KAL had a run last week and they pretty much halted it all day wouldn't let it get past 13$ small float growing company already did a r/s. APPH is another one that could run. Both those companies are vertical integrated farms. Basically can produce food all year round.
Bought about 50 $2C 2/10 APPH before the close. Fingers and toes crossed that today is a regrouping and not a coup.

Everyone wants to know so they can check it out. The value of stocks is a popularity contest. Having more people want to buy it isn't a negative for you. Also the ticker does impact people's advice. Nflx has doubled since it hit a bottom last year. Meta is up a ton since it bottomed. APPH is up like 300% since it bottomed. My advice would be different for each one.
Loss was QQQ and AMZ calls in Oct 22 when the market ranked. Gains are from call debit spreads on Qqq, XOM and APPH over the last 30 days

I called APPH a few weeks ago and nobody paid a bit of attention. We need to secure our food production as we are about to hit a major shortage all throughout the world. Plus who doesn’t want a public company who produces awesome fruits and vegetables. People are out here buying food from some facility that uses harsh chemicals and pesticides and eating them right out of the grocery store not knowing what residue is left behind. Meanwhile we have a public CEA in one of the most poverty stricken areas producing clean food ready to eat and nobody bats an eye. We have to do better
I used to be in on $APPH. I know they're planning on doing more than just tomatoes (last I checked) but at the time I was invested that seemed further on the horizon than I cared to hold for, so I moved to $AGRI.

Did you read the 8-K on the sale with the $127M "headline"? You can't judge that book by it's cover. They ended up with very little actual cash in their pocket after you read the fine print in the terms of the deal. Its very short to read. APPH is a short squeeze! They had high shorts (over 20%) and several catalysts signal the company's outlook will improve. First, they solved their cash problems by leasing back one of their indoor farms. Second, the flooding in California is damaging/may destroy the lettuce crop. That's 70% of the lettuce in the US. It is likely APPH will continue to go up, and could accelerate.
I have done a lot research on the company and have been accumulating a position in the company over the last 6 months. Obviously, this is a high risk stock, as you have rightly stated. However.... The best analysis I have heard to value the stocks discussed the property/equipment value. The long and the short of it is that the property and equipment value owned by APPH is less than the value of the number of shares in circulation. The elohant in the room is the massive debt and as an [long term] investor you have to believe that they can get profitable in time to out run the debt; i.e. they will likely have to roll over debt in a high interest environment in the future... With everything going on in the world - inflation, the lose of agriculture from Ukraine, lose of fertilizer from Russia, etc.. it's totally possible this could be a deep value play..
Hlbz DGBI APPH btcs RAD I don't know if there squeezes but they've been moving also IDEX went from 15 cents to 20 cents in past week on small volume. I'm not sure if PRTY is still on is had it's run with pull back then ran again. There's so many plays right now not sure if they're squeezing or just because it's beginning of new year.
