Yeah, so it’s kind of a long story, but I’ve been interested in investing and trading since around 2022. I always wanted to get into it, but I just didn’t have the capital. So I sat on the sidelines for a while until about February 2024, when I finally had money to invest, and that’s when I started looking into crypto. I downloaded Stocktwits (yeah, I know… bonehead move 😭, that app is a cesspool). I was scrolling through the most popular coins and came across Shiba Inu. I ended up buying in around $0.000024, and that same week it shot up to about $0.000033. I was hyped, up around 40% and I really thought I was gonna be rich. So, of course, I held… and you can probably guess how that ended 😭. I sold after the drop and took a decent loss. After that, I regrouped and stayed out for a bit. But one day, don’t even know what sparked it, I started doing more research and came across FFIE. Yeah… wish I had done a little more research there. I bought in around $1.60, and within a week, it shot up to $3.00. You’d think I would’ve learned my lesson from Shiba and sold, but nope. I thought that company was the future. I went from being up $1,700 to being down $400. That one hurt. After that, it was war. I got serious about trading and joined a Discord, yeah, a freaking paid Discord for $15/month 😭. Mistake #37 in my journey. But anyway, I followed this YouTuber’s strategies and copied all his trades. I basically stayed flat for a few months, winning some, losing some. Part of that’s on me, because he always said to take profits early, but I kept holding out for home runs. And as I’ve learned, that never ends well. Any gains I made would just vanish. I stuck around in that Discord until he made a horrible call trying to catch the bottom on a penny stock, GWAV. The whole server piled in. I had around $2,000 in it at $0.40. That trade went completely sideways. Everyone kept averaging down until we ran out of powder, hoping for a pump that never came. I lost a ton, like many others, and finally left after that disaster. So I was out again, regrouping, licking my wounds, down about $1,000, and honestly thinking about quitting altogether. But greed kicked in and I wanted my money back. So I came back, but this time I developed my own strategy. I used some of what I learned from that Discord because to be fair, I didn’t make money, but I did learn a lot. I started trading options, some 0DTE and 1DTE, but mostly 5–7DTE, and things were going well. I made around $200 and started to feel like I could really turn things around. But, as you probably guessed, I still hadn’t learned my lesson about greed. I made one trade, just one, and nearly blew up my whole account. I came to my senses just in time and sold, but I still took a $2,000 loss. So I sat out for a week or two, watched the market, and noticed SPY was dumping hard after close every day. I picked up on that trend and started swinging weekly puts. Yeah, I know swinging options is risky, but I was desperate. Maybe it was luck, maybe it was good timing, or maybe a bit of both, but I ended up making around 50% per trade that week on contracts I was buying for $500–$1,000. I made back about $2,100 in losses. I stopped while I was ahead, and thankfully I did, because that same day SPY pumped like 9%. The trend had shifted. From then on, I ditched the risky gambles and started trading smarter, using tight stop losses, scalping, and taking profit early. I also kept trading MVST, a penny stock I’d been following, and little by little, I climbed back. And yeah, I know the way I got back to green wasn’t ideal. It easily could’ve gone the other way. But I got lucky, and I did learn. A lot of luck, a little bit of skill. Either way, I’m proud of where I am now, and I’m never putting myself in that kind of position again. (I know that was a lot, but that’s my story 😭.)
A few suggestions for those who feel like listening: I noticed a lot of love for CTM. It's not a bad stock by any means, but as far as penny stocks go, you may as well day trade large caps for safer gains. CTM has a large float of 56m shares. This is the reason why the stock price doesn't move that easily. You'll notice the same with MVST. MVST released earnings a month ago and it's taken this long to be where it currently is. It has a very large float of 190m shares, even with the high insider ownership. If you are looking for quick gains, you should be looking at stocks with OS counts of 20m or less. For those unaware, the public float is all publicly tradeable shares minus insider and restricted shares(unsold shares from warrants for example). NXTT, DXF, RGC, MLGO, JNVR, AREB, KIDZ - all of these ran to multiples because of their public float. Especially ones with floats under 2m. If you have a stock with a 1m float and volume is at 2m, that means the entire float has been turned over. It's extremely hard for shorts to stop upward pressure when there are very few if any shares available let alone to borrow. A big caution - these are not stocks that you hold, unless they are a profitable company with consistent quality earnings. Companies with a low OS count are ripe for offerings. Especially ones that have recent reverse splits - this is not a science - NWTG for instance did a reverse split before their offering and after their offering - doing so, means they have solid cash on hand AND a very moveable stock price. So immediately, IMO, more dilution is not a concern. The above caution can be avoided by taking profits and selling when you see that hockey stick to the moon. Don't hope for more. Understand one thing - there are stocks that do what KIDZ, UPXI or NXTT do every day or multiple every week... Take the win and move on to the next one. The only stocks you hold are the ones youre confident in. They have solid cash on hand. They have some sort of quarterly cash flow. Dilution is behind them. They are over $1 and compliant or regaining compliance.

Looking at this objectively (I don’t currently hold this stock). It’s a decent company that unfortunately IPO’d right at the start of a major market downturn. Shorts are holding all these stocks down, and not allowing them to stay up with good news. This forces these companies to reverse-split to stay NASDAQ compliant. Once the market sentiment shifts to a bull run again, shorts will go back to the shadows and these penny stock (NWTG, OPTT, CYCU, MVST, etc) will be able to make and hold price gains. None of these are inherently sketchy pump n dumps. Just subject to market forces. I’ve been in here long enough to know the same people down voting each other for suggesting stocks they recently lost $ on will be the same people singing praises once the market changes direction. Zoom out people, and don’t take trading so personally. It’s a game, you just have to keep up with the changing rules.

yes, I'm currently holding all the penny stocks I wrote in the first message: UAMY, MVST, KULR, LXRX, NWTG. So far, I didn't lose or win anything, approximately a 0% on average. But last week I sold all my etfs, which is where I had most of my money invested. I think that since penny stocks are highly volatile to start with all these tariffs bullshit should not matter so much.
