Just reread the PIPP registration. I didn’t realize way back when they had written in the rules that shareholders could not vote on the business combination and that they had squirrelly redemption language. Hmm. Interesting. It is a little weird and different. One year lockup and 150 day lockup in tranches for insiders. Also, they are definitely geared towards defense and they are heavily skewed towards procurement and NATO. It isn’t what I thought it was in the early days. I will keep looking this weekend. I might have gotten a little better at reading SEC docs since 2020. So that’s good.

Went back to look at PIPP. Spreads insane! Less than 2k volume. Weird rumors on Stocktwits with no DD. Still worth watching, but not jumping back in. Related: is there some kind of bagholder strategy that they set sell and bid orders for like .95 when stuff is trading for <.30 that locks up the volume to below 2k? This isn't the first time I have seen this. Must be some bagholder strat on low volume.

I admire GGPI and I am holding my warrants for long term. I have exactly one SPAC with out a DA heading to merge: UTAA. Even if it is not OF, it doesn’t stink. I have made money on warrants on two different baseless spikes. Elsewhere, I have it on my list to look at where PIPP is at in their cycle and buy some of that recent CIA initial offering, maybe even units. Next paycheck coincides with OPEX tho. Lol. I hit every goal of the last six months for my allocations on Friday, maybe prematurely, but I’m looking to obsess on new tickers and I was super surprised by the fact that I had only one pre-DA.

Did y’all see where Turkey has taken certain aspects of their pretty big yacht building industry and begun making component parts for Bayraktars in the same same facilities? Elsewhere, Znte Evex holding up, when PIPP? Has to be before midterms.
Unfortunately it isn't terribly exciting and it also is a pretty subjective exercise. The best way to get good is to read (a lot) of filings. Everyone puffs their chest out in SEC filings so I've seen people get hung up over red herrings, like say someone being an early COO at Coinbase and the sub turning that into an echo chamber of "wow" in what is an otherwise unremarkable sponsor vehicle/team that priced at the peak of the market. In this environment if you're not \*certain\* that a deal/sponsor is going to be able to put together a deal then it's a pass if you're fishing in warrants. There are some vehicles that I never would have assumed would have a hard time, say PIPP, but if you're looking at the deadline and the length of time the SEC is taking it is easier to move this into the "too hard" pile or simply own commons instead of the risk tranche. Since I doubt anyone is still reading at this point I liked ANAC and TETC not much higher than where they are now. But, always invert the sub.
I am going to be making a list of all the defense oriented SPACS. PIPP and ROT come to mind. Also, both IONQ and DNA had early stages of IARPA and DARPA funding as well as In-Q-Tel. Scorpion is such an amateur I can’t believe that he would go after companies that have long ago been determined to be in the National interest and had all major principles vetted by default.

Thank you! PIPP unfortunately doesn't meet our minimum criteria to be imported into the system. FATH looks interesting but has some incomplete data which failed as it ran through our system. I will try to run FATH by hand and see what we get.

Ah nice, yeah I've suspected Firefly would be a good SPAC candidate too. While I think they'll succeed in launch capability, they're a bit on the sketchy side with the tangled IP issues, bankruptcy and foreign investment history so I'm thinking PIPP might be too picky, but who knows. NVSA or ALTU are the others I've been watching for an aerospace target like this.

Yea, good point. I was delta hedging myself a bit, bought 20,000 shares after selling calls, but there's not enough explain all the volume. Could just be arbs (there was one block trade for 465,000 shares today - that's 70% of today's volume). There was very strange activity on the option chain though: \-691 Mar $10 Calls \-719 Apr $10 Calls \-500 Jun $10 Calls \- 100 7.5-10 Jul Call spreads \- 100 Oct $10 Calls That is VERY unusual. I monitor this option chain every day and have never seen volume like that, especially bought on the ask. Something definitely is up. I am just saying the exact same thing happened prior to people on this sub and discord pumped PIPP back in November and sent it to the 12s (in the pre-market) and $10.80s (official print during market hours). I got myself a bunch of PIPP 14 April $10.00 strikes for $0.05. Not sure if you’ve been following PIPP, but risk/reward on $10.00 strikes for $0.05 is insane. I’ll keep buying further expirations for 5 ct too once they get closer. They have until Nov to combine, or until Aug or Sep to DA realistically.
Well half joking half serious I was thinking about my Kazakh bitcoin miners who are merging with the tech to recycle the miner generated heat for cold climate geographic locations. Suddenly seems like a good way to circumvent the supply of fuel coming from Russia. Also the CND clearing house is a way to track transactions on a certain level. But I think overall hard consumption commodity market is a better bet for the time being. Was curious why we haven’t seen more of our satellite SPACS get a shoutout for imagery or why PIPP the NAT SEC SPAC didn’t get more love today. I think you had a good question. I am curious too.

Pre DA SPAC commons can be good for covered calls or spreads if you sell 3-5 months out. Boring but pretty good returns for the risk. Only real risk is a merger getting all the way from announcement to completion before the option expires, so you can shorten the timeline to manage risk. I currently have a fair amount spread across IPOF, BTWN, IGAC, PIPP and IPOD

IPOF is Chamath and PNTM has about the best SPAC structure we've seen so a really good chance for a solid deal there, but why PIPP? Is it a play on government grift?
IPOF and PIPP both have options chains, if you want to do something tiny stupid 7.50c can be bought for close to $0 extrinsic and give 4x leverage.

Just sold my remaining BTAQ warrants for a 15-60% loss (bought at two points). You guys are welcome, maybe their spend in Q3 will finally be revealed in form of a DA soon. Held for 9 months or so, quite sad stuff regarding everything from opportunity cost to the actual loss. Thank god it wasn't a huge position, still hate it. BTAQ has until Feb. 28 to find a deal, and can extend for 6 months, but not worth it for me. There has been zero interest in the latest SPAC DAs regarding warrants, some have even lost value on their DA day. Sure there will be deals that people are interested in, but all things regarded it's a stupid gamble at the moment.
