Zillow [publishes this data](https://www.zillow.com/research/data/). For the entire US market it [looks like this](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQBjvUg9r-aZhnrJ6qM2fr1GasBF3zcTXbfsM3ecJNv-3_YzG6zuFxu8CYMeG0BWSj6Q9gHEdbC6V4i/pubhtml). TLDR the market is definitely cooling but isn't even close to pre-pandemic levels, at least as a national average. Im seeing a huge amount of variation on that in different regions though, so you guys might be disagreeing just because your local markets are behaving differently. At the macro scale, change in the M2 money supply has been a good leading indicator for change in the US National Case-Shiller index since QE started in '08 ([chart](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/?g=V83T)) , and typically leads it by about a year. M2SL hasnt even fully stopped expanding yet so I would bet that Case-Shiller wont start falling nationally until like the end of 2023, and thats just the beginning of the fall. Remember that in 2008 the real estate market didnt bottom until after stonks had reached new all time highs, and that was a real estate crisis. RE market is illiquid, prices are sticky, and price action lags years behind the underlying economic drivers. be patient

This is very misleading. See this chart [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQ690ylH9cXB2Oqy6b46mGdqlDkz29QAhrBYQxbDFTQWGcMCX0F8LZN2G29HgLW1HXN31t7dWjm4X14/pubchart?oid=2081979134&format=image). The R\^2 between the two is 0.01, meaning the two are completely independent of each other. Secondly, I can count off the top of my head at least a few of these recessions including 2001 and 2008, were caused by events unrelated to the price of oil (911 and the mortgage meltdown.) Also see in the chart there are a number of times in which significant yoy price increases in oil has very little if any affect on GDP. Also, you should supply your data and justify your stance. It is very weasel-like of you to to leave out the data necessary to verify your stance. "Everytime" you mean like 4 or 5 recessions in the last 50 years that can be explained by other events independent of the price of oil?

It's been a bad start to the year for SPACs, but IPOs remain more expensive for the company going public that SPAC mergers, and they have to disclose a lot more information, earlier. The way SPACs work, as long as you bought below ~$10 an abandoned deal is fine, you get most of your money back in the end. You've got all these SPAC trusts with money in them, in a bear market with interest rates going up, that will likely be appealing to many companies who need funding. The market can go up or down, but there is still $10 per share (minus expenses, which are regulated) in the trust. I've been loading up on SPAC warrants, which are way riskier than SPAC shares. This is just a pause. They talk about abandoned deals, but for example on the Acorn deal the PACX stock only went down 20 cents, because of above. They probably realized $2B isn't realistic for that company, and they'd rather not get a deal and let their early investors cash out their shares than have a bad deal that will see investors lose money as it drops to $5 after the first SEC filing. SPACs have been around for over a decade, and gained popularity for real reasons. They got frothy, and it normal to have a pullback during a period of volatility, but they're not going away. SPACs will remain more popular than IPOs up until the government regulates them to require more pre-merger disclosures, like IPOs have, then they will truly drop in popularity.👼

FPAC warrants 💎-hands gang checking in. I also feel that OCA/PACX were particularly affected by how badly the new-age insurance/fintech companies have been beaten down since those DA'd. To be fair, Coinbase has been getting killed too, but I think it's different considering so much of Bullish's valuation comes from their crypto holdings. Additionally, Bullish has a $300M PIPE so hopefully they'll want to take that. That being said, bring on the FPAC warrant $0.6Xs pricing 😆

Just sold my remaining BTAQ warrants for a 15-60% loss (bought at two points). You guys are welcome, maybe their spend in Q3 will finally be revealed in form of a DA soon. Held for 9 months or so, quite sad stuff regarding everything from opportunity cost to the actual loss. Thank god it wasn't a huge position, still hate it. BTAQ has until Feb. 28 to find a deal, and can extend for 6 months, but not worth it for me. There has been zero interest in the latest SPAC DAs regarding warrants, some have even lost value on their DA day. Sure there will be deals that people are interested in, but all things regarded it's a stupid gamble at the moment. For many r/spacs favourites this year will be quite interesting, here some deadlines for liquidation: * ETAC: 04.08.2022 * VYGG: 06.10.2022 * IPOD: 14.10.2022 * IPOF: 14.10.2022 * LFTR: 23.10.2022 * BOAC: 27.10.2022 * CRHC: 11.09.2022 * PIPP: 19.11.2022 * PACX: 12.01.2023

Or do I just either have to wait for another merger Or do I just have to sell on the open market? It’s pretty close to $10. But I’d rather not lose $100.

If anyone's been wondering why PACXW has been eating shit lately, the reason is because either side can terminate the merger if it isn't complete by January 15th (and it won't be). There's still going to be a lot of time on the clock for PACX and, who knows, Acorns might even waive the condition, but that's probably why the warrants have cooled off so much.

My SPAC holdings are: SLDP, LCID, GENI, SOFI, PACX I'm pretty happy with that group

PACX will be closing in on that at this rate

So the amended 10-Q that deals with the new classification of warrants that PACX filed yesterday... DCRN filed theirs about 4 weeks ago and obviously announced their merger date today Just poking around

Some DA warrants are making me worried. Like PACX and others down below $.7 makes like good of da pops unlikely.

If you're talking about PACX, as long as the merger goes through the warrants will appreciate due to how the fair value fraction is calculated which is bueno

https://imgur.com/a/RCOnX1X The past month's graph for PACX Commons. No large sell orders. Yes, the warrants are getting destroyed but it's on small trades. The big buyers are still in their positions. Just my 2 cents.

Another big buy in PACX. For those concerned about PACXW and the merger. I've bought some more warrants today

PACXW close to all time low. Is it just cause fintech/small cap getting hammered or is there something specific to PACX/Acorn that I missed?

PACX supposed to be convening their board very soon and completing the merger. The price is ridiculously low and is definitely a great buy, especially the warrant stock.

So for PACX All the largest orders I've seen go through have been buy orders including a 150k buy today that's 70% of daily volume. Seems to me that the big investors still are big on Acorns (and the merger going through) while the warrants have died on below average daily volume due to margin calls, panic from eToro, or general market conditions via retail investors. But I'm down to hear any reason why I might be mistaken.

bought a little VT before JPOWs talk in case it rockets up. i figure if there’s a safe bet it’s the entire world market lol i also nibbled on low ball bids with BMAQ LNFA GPAC PNTM warrants. sold out of TEKK cause that rumor is a pure shit company and debating cutting losses in PACX and HERA warrants

r/SPACsSee Comment

Lol I don't have a Twitter silly But I will say this: there's been some nice order sizes on PACX Commons which is what the institutions would be in. Warrants are 100% retail movement I have no concerns over the deal going through and that will make these warrants just fine in the end The one thing I'm crossing my fingers for is that we get a discounted deal where they renegotiate down from 1.8 to maybe 1.6 given market conditions. But that's hopium

PACX has had an interesting day. PACXW down in the dumpsters on 200k volume. Meanwhile PACX commons had a 110,000 buy order come through. Making 110/117k of the total volume (still under avg. daily volume) Just seems to me if any insiders had any concerns about the deal, we'd see a lot of volume and a lot of selling pressure. Instead it's flat for the day and is now even above other post-DA SPACs like DCRN.

r/SPACsSee Comment

PACX is fine but it looks like PACXW fell off a cliff cause of a large seller probably cause of eToro. Since PACX is the one that would be held by institutions and has no volume... Doesn't seem like the story has changed at all and one seller caused a huge drop versus "someone knows something we don't"

It’s weird eh? The merger date must be around the corner as well, so, all it points to to me is a massive buying opportunity. With the kind of backers and connections PACX has, it would seem like a triple play waiting to happen.

It's interesting PACX is actually going up through the day. 9.92 -> 9.94 and basically no volume and warrants have about 100k volume. Imo that means someone had a big position they wanted to get out of. But seeing as the Commons which is what's owned by institutions have no volume and aren't selling off, there's really no difference today versus Friday
