Seems very interesting, i live in Indonesia so i've been traveling a lot with AirAsia, and I have to say my last worst experience was with them (pos payments unavailable on flight, couldn't buy a bottle of water between Bali and Kuala Lumpur), also most of the Planes i've used with them were very old and covered with tape. I've never went down the Rabbit hole of airlines, i really don't understand their business model, how much airports charge the companies, what are their margins on low fare travels or the minimum capacity needed for profits,. I've read somewhere airlines don't make profits selling tickets anymore, but that their "Miles" subscriptions make them more similar to a bank with a proprietary currency system (pinch of salt with my last words, my limited knowledge come from YouTube videos). Living in Indonesia i've been looking at the situation of a lot of big players like goto, grab, rare minerals industries, Palm oil (the ban last year was easy money) but i've always been concerned about government changes and unstability. Next year elections will greatly decide future International investments and growth, local raw materials extraction and finished products market. As a family we have an F&B import export and distribution business since 11 years ago, that's why we are always on the look out for the next head of state. Speaking about AirAsia, i'm really happy they have a non binding order of flying EV taxys from EVTL (Vertical Aerospace) an English Company that i'm following since 2 years ago. It seems i like unprofitable companies with great management and proven records, i have 850 shares for $2.88 each, the plan Is to keep them till 2025 when the Company will deliver the first batch of orders. Well the idea that it would be the cheapest by then is silly, but having certification in the next couple years is absolutely the industries goal (ACHR 2024, EVTL, 2025). The FAA is trying to [streamline](https://www.flyingmag.com/faa-proposes-regulations-to-ease-evtol-certification/) the process. Of course it always takes longer and it won't be cheap, but EVTOL is closer than you think.

It became quite common late 2021 when the easy PIPE money started to dry up. I believe BOXD and SBIG raised the majority of their cash through PIPE convertible notes. BZFD, BBAI, and EVTL also entered into convertible debt agreements prior to deSPAC. There's heaps more but that's all I can of at the moment.

Yeah it's 150 days then the 20 days above $15 thing starts. I think one year is quite a common lockup for deSPACs. I remember looking into it last year when there was a wave of SPACs from 2021 going through lockup expiry. Six months or one year were the most common. A few had 9 months, a year and a half, or two years although often longer expiry's would only apply to a certain shareholder who might own a huge percentage of the shares. Some have really exotic lockups for example EVTL had 10% shares will no lockup, then 30% expiring after 1 year, another 30% after 2 years, and the final 30% after 3 years.

Well, I could have sold SKLZ for over $40.00 - and didn’t! But, right or wrong I do think some beaten down spacs do have a chance - at this point they are little more than lottos, and the warrants on some could explode - and having seen the share price and warrant action on some of the spacs I have no doubt that there was and will be manipulation - the key is to get out before the warrants are called - I made some money shorting the shares/warrants when it was clear they were going to be called, because they do their best to pin it to the $11.00 strike or whatever it is for that warrant, and they can’t call in the warrants until the shares have traded over $18.00 or whatever for 30 days or whatever. Then when they call them the share price dives - played that somewhat successfully with SOFI and ASLE. Actually, ASLE has some potential in the next 6-12 months. I do believe this one will fly. Usually my shout outs fly on the day (like my recents TBLT, BWV, VRAX, MOTS, EVTL etc). This one and PXMD are taking their time but I believe in them. The volume really says something. Did you see the algo picking off shares all day at .30? Somebody really wanted to take shares off of the hands of scared people. I'm still learning as well. You can't rely on websites with float numbers, since they often get the numbers wrong with SPACs. You have to read the filings yourself: https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/#/q=EVTL No way around it for reliable info. With SPACs, you want to read the 425 prospectus. Search for the term "lock-up" and go from there. There's a "Legacy Holder Lock-up Expiration Date" a "Sponsor Lock-up Expiration Date" and a convoluted Mudrick Subscription Agreement for EVTL. Also I'm seeing 180 day and 1 year after closing day lock-ups for PIPE, legacy and sponsor holders. But just skimmed it. EVTL went public on Dec. 17, 2021. So the 180 day date was June 15. EVTL crashed into this date from its April high of $9.80 and continued to fall from June 14 ($4.40) to July 14 ($2.40). But the whole market crashed during this time as well. If Dec. 17 has any significance, we'd expect to see it crash into the date and then some after as well, provided the shares under lock-up will actually be sold. If they got their shares at $10 they might just hodl it as well. You never know.

Unless you have a serious grasp on the share structure and float numbers, this might not play out as you think. [EVTL started out as a low float despac a while ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/rkoyii/evtl_224m_low_float_with_options_and_short/) with a float of 2.24M. I'm sure a lot happened since then and I haven't followed. PIPE might have held on to their shares instead of dumping, some shares might still be under lockup. If the float is still smallish, then this isn't a play about fundamentals.

The short percentage provided by Ortex is wrong, as it often is when it comes to spac plays. They haven’t taken into account the buyback that occurred last Friday, which I believe was a significant chunk of the float. That makes the short interest much higher than it appears. The same is true of EVEX, EVTL, SWVL, etc. If you look up the short interest through these data providers, it’s typically wrong, because the buyback isn’t subtracted from the float. But if you look at the cost to borrow, you’ll notice it’s very high, indicating the amount of shares being accounted for in the float is incorrect.
