I unfortunately didn’t get calls. I had bills to pay the next day and I was debating playing this play to help pay for the bills, and everyone told me to stay away from this play. I listened because I haven’t traded in 2 years, and recently got back into trading a couple weeks ago. I wanted to make sure I was going for a good play, and almost 90% of the internet said the same thing, so I listened. And AAPL did opposite, and my thesis was 100% right after all. I shouldn’t have listened to anyone except me lol, I’ve been right on so many stocks. I wanna get into crypto stocks next, I see a lot of undervalued sleeping giants like RIOT MARA CLSK and others that could explode.. but I’m keeping a close eye on AAPL now 100%.

I usually trade in and out and take profits. Most miners usually behave the same way RIOT, CLSK, BTBT. There was a huge pump for all lf them on december but now it came back to a steady swing. It’s a tricky situation, for example I got in with WULF at 2ish last year and sold at 5 in July but then it moved up to 8 (now back down). The weird thing about miners is that they are not moving with the BTC swings. WULF was at 5.6 when BTC was like 60K now reaching 110K it’s still bellow 5. My not financial advice is to track the candles of all miners in whatever app you use and keep following the flow. You did good.

I believe RIOT and CLSK are the best choices to look into, because these two companies both have the Largest Bitcoin Holdings AND Most Data Centers spread thru-out the United States - so even if they are not takeover targets... their Bitcoin holdings alone will propel their stock prices upward with Bitcoin price appreciations happening now and the 2nd half of the year.

CIFR and IREN have planned ahead and have convertible infrastructure ready to go. RIOT finally capitulated from pure Bitcoin mining when an activist investor got them to do a planning study to convert. But this timeline will take longer since they didn't originally optimize for AI. They have a giant power site, though, so maybe a hyperscaler just buys the whole thing and razes the existing facilities. CLSK hasn't expressed any interest in transition AFAIK. The interesting thing is if enough big miners switch to AI and BTC moons they also benefit because they'll have cornered a higher percentage of hashrate. It's a crazy sector to hold because there are two wildly convex pathways in two already reflexive sectors.

This play actually has a thesis though. Every 4 years BTC hits a “mania” phase. In that phase people who made money off BTC for the previous 4 years, sell BTC and buy alt coins and btc adjacent stocks. We are coming up to that mania phase in the next few months. BTC mining stocks (Mara,CLSK,riot,BTBT, etc etc) are some of the most shorted stocks on the market and go through INSANE short squeeze’s. Last cycle Mara went from .35 to $83. Riot went from .51 to $79.5. BTBT went from .28 to $33.

Option volume is good to look at to gauge interest. If you’re a vol seller, this is how you make your money. NVDA is not a good example (lol) it’s probably the most market efficient priced stock in the whole market. Every fund, institution, family office and regard even on WSB has dug deep into its financials and future earnings and are making bets on the price. But I think the point you are trying to make is that “if you see tons of calls, it must be bullish because someone knows something”. And what I’m saying is that’s not true. For example BTC mining companies (MARA, CLSK, RIOT, etc) get huge call volumes every week. But they’re all down MASSIVELY off their highs. It’s because the VOL is high so funds are selling the calls not buying them. That’s bearish, not bullish. Option volume isn’t inherently good or bad for price action because you don’t know what’s bought or sold. (This is also without me starting a conversation on multi leg options and how that also distorts things)

Yeah everyone needs to learn the hard way, I did a WSB tier yolo on CLSK leaps that were like $21 strike for like 20k…that was a bad idea Thankfully CLSK had a small run up, and I got out with 10% profit…but anyone who’s looked at CLSK the last 4 years knows how stupid that play was. I also went a month or two after the NVDA split sitting on cash and decided to get back in with some 4 month exp on NVDA and SPY…this was just before Juneteenth last year…remember that summer? By end of year, yes. Miners are insanely shorted, some 30%+. When btc hits its “euphoria” stage (sometime between now and January) the shorts cover or get squeezed. If you look at stocks like WULF, they move 1% on 200k volume 5 min candles (the stock is $4) it’s very sensitive. If you switch to the monthly on any BTC mining stock: Mara, riot, CLSK, btbt, iren, etc they all have massive short squeezes every BTC cycle. Most 30-40x from thier lows and it happens quickly. I’m sitting on almost 1000 otm WULF calls for Jan 2026. I like it bc it’s so shorted it’s skewing the call price and the IV for some reason is relatively lower than other btc miners. If you want to gamble you could pick up a few $10 calls for Jan 2026 for .29. That’s $290 for 10 calls. If it runs to 40, that’s 30k. If nothing happens, sell in Nov and take a small loss or even slight gain if it continues to move up. I’ve haven’t seen a play with this little risk vs the upside since the gme/amc days.

Long options always move slower than quick ones both up and down, unless you expect a stock to rise/drop a very significant amount over the next year or two there is not really much point getting LEAPS that far out, especially on lower open interest tickers like CLSK.

This theta decay is absolutely insane  I have ITM calls for Jan that are up just as much as the underlying stock Options are worse than they have ever been and buying shares is the only way to retain any value and profit  Let me explain: CLSK Jan 7.5c  I bought a month ago when the stock was 7 and I am currently break even with over a half of year of time left being ITM if I had just bought shares instead I would be up 20 percent but because I bought long calls and the market never stops chopping I am never holding any gain the option gets This is the case with pretty much every single long option I have especially ones out til 2027 do yourself a favor just buy shares options will never get better and the the manipulation will only get worse

If looking for another squeeze candidate, I have 3 on my list: TLRY - shortings starts to build up but not yet into dangerous levels. Might pump hard if rescheduling comes. Then CLSK - shorters are in control and quite confident. If bitcoin rallies suddenly, they might be trashed fast. And my favorite now, WOLF. It was artificially pushed down hard and shorting is getting into dangerous territory (although, whoever orchestrated the 50% drop, probably wants WOLF to go into 1.5$ range). If I'd have to bet, I'd say we will see first WOLF, then CLSK then later this year TLRY. All probably going to squeeze like HTZ or more. If you play with puts on any of them, would recommend watch the signs, there might be a time where CALLs will print.

Yeah, CORZ definitely adapted to survive. CLSK is a great bitcoin miner, but nothing else. I held because I thought they would have a larger run. It hit over $24 last year and wasn't close to being as profitable as it is today. But I didn't factor in how many shares there were last year versus today.
