That’s true. During a bull run it’s all about the “tech”. During the bear market that same “tech” doesn’t seem so innovative. Even if you believed in a token, and it had one of the best, most honest, and smartest developers, it can all tank because it’s all based on speculation. Also, I love Apple and other companies/projects but you don’t hear me telling you that “apple to moon. We lambo. WGMI”. It just feels so scammy to be pushing tokens and to see people being taken advantage of. I think long term, some blockchain tech will survive but it’s all mostly parasitic projects created by anonymous teams so they can escape when it tumbled down.

Lots of new entrants feel like this and they were sold a lie that coins/tokens in the red will go back up in “altseason”, “BTFD/HODL/WGMI”. Altseason didn’t really come in the way it has in previous cycles - there were pump cycles at different times for DeFi, L1, metaverse etc. The “take profit” narrative is smart but if you’re working with low capital, it doesn’t make much sense to pull out 100%-200% profit. My portfolio hasn’t performed that well since May too, mainly because I held bags with decent fundamentals but not enough pumpamentals. I should’ve rotated in line with changing narratives. I feel most sorry for those who aped into large caps at the top. We could still be in a bull market, but so many will be waiting for their BTC/ETH bag to go back up while they see multiple x’s on alts.
