This looks interesting… CSR Hub attempts to aggregate hundreds of ESG and CSR ratings for over 50k public and private companies globally. They’re only incompetent because the companies behind them don’t actually give them any authority to help you. When the AI CSR comes along it will just deny you and then if you disagree will just end the chat. Uber CS is a good example of that in action

The market potential for IHL-42X is multibillion-dollar if it becomes an FDA-approved drug for OSA. Even a small slice of the market could exceed Incannex’s current valuation by many multiples. If the CSR shows consistent AHI decreases across subgroups and low dropouts, odds rise. We need to wait for this. With current cash they would run out within a year even without launching Phase 3. To fund a Phase 3, they will almost certainly need equity raise and/or strategic partner (big pharma licensing or co-funding deal) Incannex hasn’t disclosed any confirmed Big Pharma partner for IHL-42X. They did partner with Alfred and Novotech back in 2020 for early-phase work, but there’s no public licensing deal now. But they seem to have FDA clearance to start Phase 3, so they could be planning a partnership soon. Apnimed’s AD109 already has strong Phase-3 results (mean AHI ≈ −47% at 26 weeks, sustained to 51 weeks) and is leading the race. IHL-42X is promising but still needs trials and durability data to catch up. Apnimed has an estimated market cap (based on private placements) of around $400M while Incannex is at $60M. It will be interesting.

There are boatloads of people that don’t use FA’s, and boatloads that do. Personal preference. I don’t use an FA to “outperform” the market, nor does he try to do so - flat out says he’s not in business to do that. What I primarily want him to do: - Keep me from doing stupid investing shit; because I like to chase shiny pennies at times. - Mostly take care of this aspect of my life because I don’t have the time or inclination to do it. - Help me minimize taxes. - Act as a concierge for financial stuff I don’t want to handle; eg transfer money to outside investments (such as real estate syndications), gift money to kids, transfer money to charities, establish a line of credit against the investments, etc. The thought of having to try to figure this stuff out, or sit on the phone with CSR’s makes my skin crawl. - Be there for my wife and kids if I depart this world prematurely. My wife has zero interest in this stuff, and our kids are too young to know or care much about it. I used to be with a big intl “wealth mgmt firm” that charged >1% AUM. I eventually searched for an independent FA and found a great guy who charges a flat monthly rate of just $500. Unless you have incredibly complicated investments I don’t see why 90% of people are still using FA’s that charge a % of AUM. Even the Realtors finally got exposed for their outrageous commission structures. Anyway, I researched the field extensively, Zoom interviewed about 10 FA’s, and selected my guy. Has worked out great. I also had the exact same concern you did. But we run everything through Schwab and it’s been great. As others have said, they have a lot of protections in place. This ain’t their first rodeo.

No I wasn't an FC. I started in their broker trainee program as a CSR. Then passed the series 7 and became a broker. Then did the active trader training and took the STS calls. Then joined the AI500 team(for clients who trade over 500 times a year). Then they had me taking overflow calls for the options team when they were busy. And sometimes I would do other random stuff like tutoring for people studying for the series 7, training classes for new employees/brokers/advanced options, covering for team managers when they wanted to go on vacation, etc. And for like a year I was part of this new team that would call people that left negative surveys for us. I don't think I would have enjoyed being an FC. I wanted to be deep in the weeds with trading and options. And yeah retired early at age 33

I currently work in corporate strategy for commercial auto and wouldn't go there myself. Some large headwinds... 1. They're getting their ass torn apart by OSHA and if they'd grown big enough for the unwashed masses to know who they are the CSR scandals alone would break them. I smell class actions and heavy fall out still on its way. 2. In that note, when workers are vomiting your paint colors because you are too cheap to even get them a respirator your cost of goods isn't accurate, so the bulk of your balance sheet is a sham. The balance sheet also doesn't show liquidity needed to fix that level of problem without affecting their credit rating. 3. BYD is going to destroy them. My guess is an announcement of a strategic partnership with a legacy nameplate that is backed into a corner like Mercedes will be coming, especially if repubs win and start a tariff war. Rivian won't have established the clout to compete with it. 4. Economic and auto factors don't favor luxury EV right now. Substantial trends towards lease and Rivian has a small network for that. If you believe in them long term wheel it and get a discount when it finally bottoms. 5. Scout isn't a partner to Rivian. Rivian is hoping for some sweet IP from that investment, but Scout already has given a giant middle finger to VWAG by announcing plans for direct to consumer sales. Pair that with the struggles across VWAG as a whole, and you don't get the tailwind you imagine. 6. Rivian is the least likely nameplate to fit VWAG current strategy. If they continue to devolve the cheese will stand alone. I wheel Ford for nostalgia and if I was going to go deep I MIGHT sniff around a qualitative assessment of Toyota, but overall it's the worst possible time to jump into the auto industry

If you do a moderate amount of travel, I've found the best casual combination, at least for myself, is the Chase Sapphire Reserve combined with the Chase Freedom Unlimited. Use the CSR for restaurants and travel, use the CFU for everything else. The CSR costs like $550/yr now, but you get $300 back in a travel credit, and I get way more than $250 worth of points per year out of it. I mostly transfer the points to Southwest and Hyatt so I can get at least 5-6 flights per year plus some hotel stays here and there.

I was going to write a big update on Warrior Met Coal (HCC) but tbh after looking at the presentation, I see basically nothing worth updating about regarding [write-up last week](https://old.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1ceai7b/rstocks_weekend_discussion_saturday_apr_27_2024/l1l3ms8/). Management literally copy/pasted the same 2024 guidance as they did a quarter ago. Blue Creek capex unchanged. Net cash position slightly lower (due to special dividend). So instead, I'll talk more about the bull case for met coal again. This is from a year ago, but [Teck made a presentation all about steelmaking coal](https://www.teck.com/media/Steelmaking-Coal-Resilience.pdf). They project out the demand the next few decades. In the following, when I am referring to the company HCC, I will use Warrior, to not confuse you with Hard Coking Coal (HCC). - They note that long term met coal demand will decline (slide 8). Met coal usage may fall as blast furnaces get more efficient and more scrap metal becomes available to be recycled in Electric Arc FurnacesWait what? Aren't we bullish met coal? - Yes. See slide 7 and 9. The difference is demand for high quality met coal is robust. Specifically, "HCC" (hard coking coal). Teck then markets their own coal quality here, but I'll note that the coal that Warrior produces is also considered of high quality. Though I think Teck probably wins out quality? - [I'll link to slide 7](https://i.imgur.com/P4uhqUk.png) since it is the most important one in the entire presentation. We have pretty good visibility into future supply. Depletions refers to all the quality or easy to access coal having being mined already. Greenfield refers to brand new supply (e.g., Blue Creek), while Brownfield is redeveloping existing supply (e.g., [BTU's Centurion Mine in N. Goonyella, Australia](https://i.imgur.com/xqCvKlw.png)) It takes *years* (decades?) to bring on new supply via greenfields. [Warrior has been planning Blue Creek since 2019](https://miningconnection.com/coal_prep/news/article/warrior_met_coal_weighing_options_to_develop_blue_creek_mine_alabama_main_u), if not earlier. (I found geological surveys studying Blue Creek's coal content from 1964) - From Warrior's website: "We are a large-scale, low-cost producer and exporter of premium quality metallurgical coal, also known as hard-coking coal (HCC). The HCC that Warrior produces from the Blue Creek coal seam boasts unique properties, including high Coke Strength After Reaction (CSR), high fluidity, low sulfur content, and is of a similar quality to coal referred to as the premium HCC produced in Australia, which meet the specific requirements for producing high-grade steel." - See slide 15 of Teck's presentation to see what constitutes quality met coal. They point out HCC coal has lower sulfur/phosphorous content (impurities), low volatility, higher coke strength, lower emissions in blast furnace, to name a few properties. [See slide 38 for how coke strength decreases with higher volatility]. Warrior's coal, however, has higher volatility, but still manages preserves other desirable properties (high coke strength, low sulfur, etc.). Higher coke strength is important because in the blast furnace because you need a strong material to hold up all the material in the 'tube' above it (as I understand it), and not be too chemically reactive to CO2. - Having lower volatility isn't always better, as if it is too low, apparently the coke ovens get damaged by pressure. [Source](https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/market-insights/latest-news/metals/072121-feature-pmv-coking-coal-premiums-may-be-new-normal-as-flip-from-discount-extends-into-h2). In fact, if coal is too low in volatile content, it forces producers to blend in higher volatility coal. So there is a range of desired volatilities targeted by steel producers.

Its vast portfolio includes Marvel Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm (Star Wars), and 20th Century Studios, not to mention its classic animated and live-action films. This gives it a broad range of content to attract diverse audiences. 3. **Disney+:** Disney's own streaming service, Disney+, has proved successful, boasting millions of subscribers since its launch in 2019. Disney+ allows the company to compete directly with other streaming platforms and provide a home for all of its content, including original programming. 4. **Innovative Experiences**: Disney is known for creating innovative and immersive experiences for its audience, both in its films and in its theme parks. It often integrates technology and creativity in ways that captivate audiences and push the boundaries of entertainment. 5. **Diversified Business**: Besides movies and TV shows, Disney has an expansive business portfolio that includes theme parks and resorts, cruise lines, merchandising, and publishing. This diversification helps the company maintain stability and profitability even when one sector isn't performing as well. 6. **Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):** Disney has made commitments to reduce its environmental footprint, promote social responsibility, and foster inclusivity and diversity. This includes initiatives to minimize waste, reduce emissions, and create content that represents diverse communities and experiences. 7. **Strong Financial Performance**: Historically, Disney has demonstrated strong financial performance with consistent revenue growth. It's a significant contributor to the US economy, and it employs hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. 8. **Longevity and History**: Disney has a rich history dating back to 1923. Over that time, it has consistently produced high-quality content and remained at the forefront of the entertainment industry. 9. **Chance for Apple to buy Disney**: This might happen

This sub learned 2 years ago that Robinhood DGAF about anything but their own bottom line. Fuckers went to court and had a Senate Hearing. Meanwhile, this idiot is like "OMG THE CSR SEDDDDD". I'm sure there's a line in their TOS that says they can do whatever they want if they deem it necessary and any lawyer OP picks up will gladly take OPs money, read the TOS, bill OP for a week of work and point to the TOS and say "Sorry buddy you're screwed".

Not sure, but since April 1 was a Saturday, think the DWAC 10-K was due by April 3rd ( Monday ). The [Form NT-10K](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1849635/000119312523089560/d429229dnt10k.htm) says "The subject annual report, semi-annual report, transition report on Form 10-K, Form 20-F, Form 11-K, Form N-CEN or Form N-CSR, or portion thereof, will be filed on or before the fifteenth ***calendar day*** following the prescribed due date" . That says CALENDAR day, not BUSINESS day. So 15 calendar days following April 3rd would have been April 18.

there was someone in DSS yesterday balling cuz they have no where to go and they would do nothing to help him. i live in western new york and he will die if the weather takes a sudden turn and he is not sheltered. the people that work at our dss are incompetent and ignorant. and they act like people can just wait for things and they actually in my opinion purposely look over people if they get pissed and voice there frustration. its pathetic tbh. also, when you call to try and get anyone on the phone, or even a case worker? it states to dial 0 for emergency and "explain your emergency". well, if you press 0 all it does it bring you to another pre-recorded message. no CSR, NOTHING. and that message is almost 5-6 minutes long and drags out forever to get you to hang up basically. its obvious

Thats cool, my bank will probably be raising their rates here from 3.25 soon. I’ve found chasing highest yield by switching banks for HYSA is a big PITA after you’ve done a few. Canceling them is the real pain. Back in the day I opened HSBC hysa because it was 1.25 vs 1.00 with Ally. A month later and Ally raised their rate, so I moved money out and left my empty hsbc account. Then a year or two later i got a letter from Citizens that they bought HSBC and I had to call CSR to get them to close the account, new account had fees so I couldn’t leave it empty. Just overall a big pain, was absolutely not worth all the effort lol

For those that don’t remember, a few years back Foxconn, Apple’s biggest manufacturer, had a number of employee suicides and there was a massive investigation that found severe mistreatment of employees. This was after Apple separated from a previous manufacturer (don’t remember the name), due to a similar scandal, and moved their business to Foxconn. Their CSR score has taken some hits over the years from this shit… their stock performance has not.

I was a CSR in 2003-2004. I generally liked it, had some good times and liked being around movies. I still remember most of the stuff on the new release wall from that time period. The store managers were always weirdos but a few of the shift managers and CSR's were pretty cool and fun to work with. My good buddy and I got hired together but he was a total flake who would rarely show up for his shift, make up fake injuries to get pain killers and he even got to sit on a stool at the check out for it, oh yeah and masterbate in the employee bathroom. I still have all my name tag and training manuals but not sure what happened to my polo shirts. I was actually thinking about seeing what blockbusters stock was but its held by some liquidation firm so your not really able to buy bb stock anymore right?

Oh totally, the MSCI ratings and other rating agencies have been in trouble since essentially companies have been 'greenwashing' their practices and successfully gaming the system to claim they have good ESG/CSR practices. Which is why some researchers have been using multifaceted approaches, include using AI to filter through company disclosures to better identify companies that are genuinely making attempts to improve their ESG. They key difference between ESG and previous attempts is that ESG is focused on ensuring companies can begin to improve in this area without sacrificing returns. Essentially the emerging theory is that when a company focuses on the materiality of the particular ESG factor to their business, they can make significant improvements and actually improve returns. Obviously still a lot of research to be done.
