In reality, as long as you are a hard worker $37k is not a huge amount of money in the total arc of your lifetime earnings. Dont chase it. Try not to worry about hitting a certain amount by a certain time and instead focus on how to be frugal day to day, and steady and consistent with your investments. As long as you do that you should have plenty of years left to compound wealth. You can look back on it and joke about how you stupidly gambled away a Mazda CX5 playing options and be grateful it wasn’t a lot more.

My work is 25 mile one way. I was looking to get Mazda CX90 PHEV. It has a range of 25 miles. Definitely dodged a bullet. I agree, it may work for a lot of people but I also don't like the idea of waiting in a Costco gas station line or setting an appointment for an oil change

First of all, most Nissan Rogue/Mazda CX-5/Toyota RAV4 size “crossovers” are, essentially, “hatchbacks big enough to be classed as SUV’s” (even though they are NOT) Second of all, I recall at one point being told that some permutation of the CAFE standards made it infeasible to build truly small pickups (fuel economy vs weight times wheelbase raised to the cube root of ride height or some such) and which actually forced manufacturers to focus on bigger pickup trucks just to stay compliant; and now after decades of this the US consumer has come to think of the F-150 as a “small” truck. (I have a long history with things like the Mitsu MightyMax and Isuzu Pup and S-10 pickup and the 80s/90s Ranger; THOSE are “small trucks”, not the modern 1500 size pickup which is huge by historical standards) Idk. Personally I thought the CAFE standards were always a flawed metric, and my understanding is Trump has done nothing but slow their implementation, not eliminate or replace them. It’s more theatrics to distract from the lack of Epstein Files and the crumbling economy as far as I’m concerned.

AI demand is real, but profits lag because the choke points are integration, power, and inference ops-not “no demand”. Training spend shows up at NVDA/TSMC/HBM; ROI lands months later when enterprises actually deploy. Power is the tightest link: PPAs, substation timelines, liquid cooling, and floor space. Networking and memory matter just as much (Infiniband/CX7/400G, HBM3e). If you’re trading this, watch GPU utilization, the revenue mix shift from training to inference, $/token and tail latency, cloud AI capex guidance, and RPO specifically tied to AI features-model benchmarks won’t pay the bills. On the ground, we’ve shipped LLM features by using Azure OpenAI for models and Snowflake for governed data, and leaned on DreamFactory to auto-generate secure REST APIs over legacy SQL so teams could actually ship. Near term, the winners are the ones who turn racks and megawatts into reliable, integrated products customers run daily-not just bigger benchmarks.

Mentions:#NVDA#HBM#CX

I apologize for the length! You’re assuming “nobody is earning money” in AI because you’re fixated on early-stage players like OpenAI and CoreWeave, but you’re ignoring where the actual profits are accruing: the infrastructure layer. NVIDIA’s data center revenue is up over 400% year-over-year and generated over $30 billion in net income in the last four quarters, more profit than Intel, AMD, and IBM combined. AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud are reporting double digit growth in AI-driven cloud workloads, with AWS alone adding roughly $15 billion in annualized revenue from AI services last year. Meta’s AI capex is already showing up in the P&L through Reels optimization and ad-targeting efficiency, driving \~25% year-over-year revenue growth, its strongest in a decade. These are not hypothetical earnings; they’re realized profits from AI deployment. On CoreWeave specifically, the earnings you cited don’t prove a bubble, they prove the opposite. Revenue doubled YoY from \~$584M to \~$1.36B, and adjusted EBITDA hit \~$838M with a 61% margin. The headline net loss is driven by interest expense and massive capex for data centers, GPUs, and power contracts, exactly what hyper-growth infrastructure looks like in its buildout phase (same story we saw with AWS, TSMC, and every major hyper scaler early on). The $55.6B backlog is not “made-up revenue”; it’s locked-in multi-year contracts with Meta, OpenAI, hyperscalers, and enterprises, i.e., committed future cash flows. Their \~$1B+ quarterly revenue reflects how fast they can deliver capacity, not how much demand exists, if they had more GPUs and power, the backlog would convert faster. Backlog far exceeding current revenue is normal in constrained industries like semiconductors and aerospace. The broader claim that “nobody is paying for AI” is simply false. Fortune 500 AI budgets are up something like 60–120% YoY, with individual companies spending from tens of millions to over a billion annually on copilots, inference APIs, fine-tuning, and data integration. These contracts are not $500–$1000 retail subs; they’re $50k–$20M enterprise deals. The money isn’t coming from retail speculation, it’s coming from businesses integrating AI into productivity, automation, CX, and analytics. Profit pools today sit at the compute, cloud, and enterprise layer, not necessarily the flashy consumer apps you’re focusing on. A bubble is when revenue is imaginary and demand collapses the moment capital tightens; here, revenue is real, demand is accelerating, and the bottleneck is supply (GPUs, power, data centers), not customers. That’s classic early cycle industrial scaling, not a bubble.

Honestly, I wish someone told me to move on from these two sooner. Sprinklr and Sprout are great if you’ve got enterprise budgets, but they can get heavy — both in cost and setup. We switched to Konnect Insights a while back and it’s been way simpler to run listening, publishing, and CX analytics in one place without feeling locked into a massive platform. Feels more practical for teams who just want insights and action without overpaying for dashboards they barely use.

Yeah, its pretty cool that no matter how rich you are, you still have the same smartphone as the average middle class person. Even luxury cars, yeah sure you can buy a 2million dollar Bugatti. But how much more capable is that car from say a Mazda CX5? It's actually less capable.... Mazda is a damn good car, luxury interior, still goes fast.. The only real difference I'd say is private access to property, but even then a regular joe can rent a vacation air BNB and live like a wealthy person for a week.

Mazda CX-5 GT, less than 5k miles, perfect condition. This was at the height of the pandemic so virtual shopping was clutch. Investors here don’t have the insight for things like national security issues. They can’t defend China having 5% tariffs for 30 years while the US had 1.5%, so it makes sense immediately after it’s turned on them they would come here bitching. Remember it was 10% before China clapped back with 15%. Do investors here understand the context of the previous tariffs being against non Chinese companies wanting to invest in China? Prob not. Do they understand that China sends missiles and intel to the Houthi’s and Russians, who send those missiles towards American ships? These guys got so shook by Trump it turned them commie. I fucking hate the guy and yet I can separate the bullshit. Cannot believe the average investor is THAT emotional. Good to know as a 26 year old. A little story time, back in December I was looking to buy a new car. I went to Toyota showroom and there were about 5-6 customers maybe. Pretty dull environment but okay ish customer service. Then I went to a Mercedes showroom (because I had an E300 to trade in). There were maybe a total of 2 customers, and the trade in offer they gave me was $ 12k (and made me feel shit about my car saying it's on the verge of breaking down). I went to another Mercedes showroom, just 1 more customer and they gave me a $ 11k trade in offer. Went over to Hyundai, 3 customers total. Then decided to give Tesla a shot and Holy Tesla it looked like Costco to me. Long line of over 25 people to take deliveries of their car, another 25-30 to want to take test drives and another 25-30 in the parking lot probably inspecting their cars before accepting them. You don't have to look at the news articles to believe one way or another. Here in Seattle Tesla is still selling like hot cakes. Since December last year I have seen my neighbor trade in his Mazda CX5 for a model Y, and another one buying model 3 P. Oh and FYI Tesla gave me a trade in offer of $ 17.5k.

I can tell you anecdotally I wanted a Tesla Model X early last year. We’re looking at plug-in hybrids like the Mazda CX-90 or the Lexus TX.

Yes I agree there are other vehicles on the market but pre-nazi I wasn’t a fan but out of the 4 EV’s I test drove I enjoyed Tesla the most. And yes $700, my other vehicle is a Mazda CX-9 v6 getting 11km/L (Canada), and I commute roughly 250 km a day. Charging my Tesla over night would cost me $2.70 on average, but I have solar and since 2022 i’ve spent a total of $196 on power for my house, and car.

Verint Systems Inc. (VRNT) is set to announce its quarterly earnings after the market closes on December 4, 2024. Here's a summary based on available information: * Earnings Per Share (EPS): The consensus from Estimize suggests an EPS of +0.04, which indicates a positive expectation compared to previous estimates or performance. * Revenue: Estimize's consensus forecasts revenues to be up by +1.66 million compared to what Wall Street analysts have predicted. This suggests there might be optimism or a slight beat in revenue expectations for this quarter. * Previous Performance: In the last reported quarter, Verint Systems reported an EPS of $0.49, missing the consensus estimate of $0.53 per share, which led to a significant drop in the share price the day after the earnings release. This historical context might temper expectations or highlight the importance of guidance in investor reactions. * Stock Performance: As of the last trading day before the earnings report (December 2, 2024), shares of Verint Systems were trading at $24.71, with a positive year-to-date performance of 2.89%, indicating some bullish sentiment among long-term shareholders going into the earnings announcement. * Market Expectations: Investors and analysts will be looking for not only the earnings figures but also for the company's guidance for the next quarter and fiscal year. The guidance can significantly influence market reactions, often more than the actual earnings figures themselves. * AI and SaaS Focus: Given Verint's focus on AI and customer experience (CX) automation, any news or updates on AI adoption, new contracts, especially those involving AI-powered bots, or the growth in their SaaS Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) will be key points of interest. * Future Outlook: Verint has highlighted a strong finish to the fiscal year with expectations of an 11% non-GAAP revenue growth in Q4, suggesting continued momentum despite the slight revenue dip in previous quarters. This summary does not include the exact figures from the earnings report since it hasn't been released yet, but it encapsulates what analysts and investors might be focusing on based on the information available before the earnings release.

Lol no. The new M4 mini is 599 and has cores faster than leading desktop chips from Intel and AMD. Of course it doesn't have a screen. Used M1 8gb regularly goes for 400$ on ebay. The asus CX34 flip has a similar price, slower CPU, more ram and about half the battery life. https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/intel-core-i5-1235u-vs-apple-m1 I think the Mac is a pretty good option.

Too much to put in a comment - look up “Zoomtopia recaps” for a full set of details. But I will say what jumped out to me: Non-native “AI Companion” that follows you through integrated partners via API (they showed a significant list). This was the biggest piece for me which demonstrated that they’re beyond meetings, and full asynch UCaaS innovators. They announced plans to monetize AI through premium features / an “AI studio,” but still include many features in their bundled plans. From an investor perspective, this was a huge missing piece for them, since I worried about how they would roll out so many expensive (to run) features and maintain their margins. Industry solutions (healthcare, education, fed) - very differentiated products to solve for pain points in these massive TAMs vs giving everyone the same “meetings” platform. The power of their contact center solutions, had some great use case demos. They specifically noted in an analyst session that they organically doubled their CX base in the past year alone. This was striking to me because they did something similar with their PBX phone replacement ZoomPhone. Lots of TAM for taking, and doing it organically is a +1 on the quality of their product. Employee engagement / EX: tailoring their software for front-line workers vs. being enterprise “knowledge worker” focused. They acquired a company named Workvivo, and were named preferred and only migration partner from META’s EX spindown. They demoed a use case that was very compelling in their keynote. They are casting a very wide net on B2B and B2C. I also attended their investor sessions (virtually) and was very impressed with their long-term plan. They plan to maintain their gold standard gross margin, and improve operating and FCF margins which are already insanely impressive. I already sing their praises for their financial mgmt, and their new CFO seems like she’ll be able to help place bets on B2B and B2C sides (she was MSFT commercial CFO).

Here you are: > Cemex S.A.B. de C.V. (CX) is currently trading at $5.99, showing signs of bearish momentum as indicated by a 14-day RSI of 42.14, suggesting it's nearing oversold territory. The MACD histogram is negative, reinforcing the bearish sentiment, while the stock is trading below its 10-day SMA of $6.17, indicating downward pressure. Recent candles show a consistent pattern of lower highs and lower lows, with significant resistance around $6.05 and support near $5.80. Given the broader market's cautious optimism and CX's technical indicators, a short position could be considered. Enter at $6.00, with a first target of $5.85 and a second target of $5.75, setting a stop loss at $6.10. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to current market volatility, while the second target has lower confidence given potential support at $5.80. Keep an eye on any unexpected news that could impact this analysis.

My advice is get yourself a 1, dollar frosty and a burger at Wendy's and start doing to some Uber or Dash to earn some of the money back. I am constantly checking prices of the cars I own and the cars I want. Manual Porsches are listed on auto-trader for two weeks before they are gone. Just sold my wife's 2014 Mazda CX-5 yesterday for $10,500 on Craigslist after getting an $8,000 Carmax and $8,500 Dealer offer. We bought the car two years old in 2016. We bought the car for $18,000. Seriously....we sold a car for about $8,000 less than what we paid for it EIGHT YEARS AGO. That is crazy. Vehicles are constantly changing hands in this country. That is why Carmax and Carvana exist and national chains. Most of my neighbors lease a new vehicle every two years...I don't see them stopping that any time soon. I live in an affluent area and people drive expensive, new cars. Go to a repressed area, and guess what, people are still driving cars. I don't see lots of people on bicycles and mopeds. They are driving 10 to 20 year old cars. If you want to buy a car for under $20K, you have to buy used. Think about all the new licensed drivers in this country every year that need a new car. Most will be driving a used car for their first vehicle. I am pretty sure the car market is not going to collapse to nothing in the next 5 years. I don't see people not driving cars 20 years from now, and probably would be safe to say people will still be driving cars (or the cars will be driving them) 50 years from now. So, yes, the research I have done is been alive on this planet and being a car enthusiast. I am long F, TSLA, and RIVN.

The hype over cheap BYD EVs is a bit overblown. The BYD Dolphin has been for sale in Europe and Australia and the sales for it haven’t been that great. While it’s cheap in China, in Europe it costs 30k Euros and in Australia is just under $40k AUD. That’s the same starting price as a VW Golf in Europe and it’s the same starting price as a Mazda CX-5 in Australia, both best selling cars in their respective regions. The reality is that at the end of the day it’s still just a small cheap Chinese car. It would be no different than if Honda today decided to start selling the Honda Fit again. Do you know how many they sold when those were on sale for $15k USD? It was less than 30k/year. Because again at the end of the day it’s still just a small economy car and people in the states don’t buy those in large enough numbers.

Traded in Wife’s Q5 for a BMW and we couldn’t be happier. Q5 is supposedly a “luxury” vehicle but was just crap for build quality, issues, service etc. Our Mazda CX5 served us better than the Q5.  They ruined the interiors on the GTI/Golf R which were the only cars left in their line up worth looking into.  Sure Audi exists, but really they are pretty meh compared to competitors. These numbers are not surprising.  This is coming from somebody that used to own a MK7.5 GTI and loved it.

If you're looking into niche things, I'd look into various building or O&G extraction materials like frakking sands $SLCA as America ramps ups more wars in the middle east, along with the u/R war affecting western oil supply. America will need to ramp up domestic drilling again. Also $CX. There's some old DD on it that it's still kind of relevant but didn't make the moves: [https://new.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/m1i7p2/the\_time\_has\_come\_to\_invest\_in\_sand\_dd\_serious/](https://new.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/m1i7p2/the_time_has_come_to_invest_in_sand_dd_serious/) I'll probably pick some up again. Not big movers though Would have also said Vulcan ($VMC) would be a good-buy in since demand for building materials is still high, but it's at ATH now. I bought an LG CX 65 from Best Buy (online ship) a year or so ago, and last week bought a Bose 900 soundbar from Best Buy (online ship). Actually the only reason I went with BB was the latter was sold out on Amazon, and actually on sale at BB's site. I can't imagine the margins were good though considering it was cheaper+free ship than other retailers. So I guess it's me, i'm the one keeping BB alive. buy calls. would love to have a real fancy home theatre setup but I just dont got the room to setup proper 7.1 surround -- also constrained by the WAF.
