This is all AI: Enovix (ENVX) has faced operational friction with **pure laser dicing that created yield loss and throughput bottlenecks** that forced the pivot toward a hybrid/mechanical solution. Market analysts and manufacturing metrics highlight key underlying difficulties: # 1. Laser Dicing as the Primary Bottleneck * **Yield Drag:** Legacy Zone 1 laser dicing was flagged by analysts and admitted by management as Fab2βs single largest throughput constraint. Dicing yields trailed other assembly zones (which reached 95%β99.6%), hovering in the low-to-mid 80% range (80% in Q1 2026, improving slightly to \~84% in Q2 2026). * **Silicon Architecture Complexity:** Precision-cutting stacked 100% silicon-anode battery architecture using lasers alone caused micro-cracking and edge defects, directly lowering step-level yield and limiting line speed. # 2. The Transition Strategy (Hybrid Model) Rather than abandoning laser dicing entirely, ENVX is deploying a **hybrid laser and mechanical dicing configuration**: * **Optimized Step-Splitting:** Lasers are retained for initial delicate scoring or specific material cuts, while mechanical dicing steps take over heavy-section separating to boost overall cut speeds without compromising structural integrity. * **Timeline for Relief:** Several key mechanical dicing steps are scheduled to come online around **year-end 2026**. Management stated this transition is necessary to deliver "multiples of today's throughput rate" to support planned 2027 high-volume smartphone manufacturing. # 3. Market & Execution Impact * **Ramp Delays:** The friction in dicing throughput directly impacted the pace at which ENVX could supply early qualification samples to smartphone OEMs, triggering analyst downgrades earlier in 2026. * **Capital Discipline & Overhead:** Until mechanical dicing machinery fully integrates at Fab2, line capacity remains artificially capped. This contributes to near-term unabsorbed overhead costs, weighing on gross margins through the end of 2026. Beyond dicing yield and line throughput, equity research analysts focused on four major operational and market risk areas: # 1. Smart Eyewear Margin Dilution & Ramp Costs * **Negative Unit Economics:** Wall Street pressed heavily on the short-term cost dynamics of scaling the smart eyewear (AI-1) production. Operating overhead shifting into Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) will result in **negative gross margins for the eyewear vertical through late 2026**. * **Lack of Break-Even Transparency:** Analysts repeatedly pushed management to disclose the exact batch volume or unit threshold required to achieve positive gross margins on eyewear. Management declined to provide a specific break-even number, noting only that margins will improve once volumes progress toward the 50,000-pack order threshold. # 2. Commercialization Delays & Smartphone Partner Engagement * **Qualification Timelines:** Wall Street expressed concern over the extended validation cycles for Tier-1 smartphone OEMs. With final accelerated cycle-life testing gated through Q4 2026, initial revenue contribution from high-volume smartphones has been pushed out to late 2027 or 2028. * **Narrowing Energy Density Gap:** Analyst reports (notably from *JPMorgan* and *William Blair*) highlighted the risk of incumbent lithium-ion battery competitors narrowing Enovixβs silicon-anode energy density advantage while ENVX works through testing gates. * **Leadership Uncertainty:** Following the call, Wall Street updates focused heavily on sudden executive changes (such as the August 2026 resignation of CEO Raj Talluri), raising analyst questions regarding the stability of OEM relationship pipelines like Honor. # 3. Fab2 Capital Utilization vs. Capacity Staging * **Underutilized Overhead:** Analysts questioned the decision to keep Fab2 Line 1 in Malaysia running below its 1,350 unit-per-hour nameplate capacity. * **Capital Discipline vs. Drag:** While management defended the choice as a prudent "demand-gated" approach to prevent excess inventory, analysts noted that unabsorbed fixed costs will continue to weigh on consolidated operating margins until volume ramps up in 2027. # 4. Revenue Concentration & Defense Pipeline Conversion * **Segment Risk:** Over **65% of Q2 2026 revenue** was derived from defense and drone applications. * **Conversion Volatility:** Analysts probed the reliability of expanding the $183 million defense/drone pipeline, pointing out that government and defense prime procurement schedules are notoriously unpredictable and tied directly to equipment expansion at their South Korea facility in mid-2027.

ENVX calls dying
Might put a little in $ENVX.
ENVX is where Iβm focused right now. Quiet earnings dark horse.
There were a ton of battery start-ups promising to be the battery solution of the future during the EV spac boom, and theyβve all basically tanked (QS, SLDP, ENVX, & Iβm sure more). Maybe FAC pulls it off, but batteries in general are an incredibly competitive space, and seems like a long shot. If Iβm going to take a recent post SPAC bust moonshot Iβd probably go with something like MRLN, or even a SECZ, that can at least scale without the manufacturing/cap ex overhang that batteries comparatively have.
ENVX CTB is so negligible it isnβt even listed on my broker. There are no βbig borrow fees.β There are over 9,000 public companies available to trade on the NYSE, buying a shitty company with the thesis being βsomeoneβ is betting it will go down is moronic. Please keep falling for obvious scams, liquidity needs to come from somewhere and your sacrifice keeps allowing the rest of us to hit new highs.

Fair comments for some like ENVX and QS. But ATL is WAY ahead in scale in silicon anode batteries. That's where most of the 25 million Chinese smartphones with Group14 material inside come from. Same with Molicel with their P50B, P50S, P60C models all in volume production, which is where they've captured customers in eVTOL (Archer), heavy lift drones (Flying Basket), hypercars (McMurtry SpΓ©irling).....etc.
These are not good recommendations. A lot of these companies have not scaled yet (ENVX) and some dont even have a working product like QS. I dont know about the rest. You cant just compare them directly to AMPX they are in complete different phases of growth.
ENVX. This is the third year of buying low in April-may and making money in July. Having a nice trend againβ¦other than Friday but what didnβt collapse Friday??
ENVX is great! Look into LRTX
Buy these: ENVX $8 calls expiring 06/05 EOSE $8 calls expiring 06/12 RCAT $15 calls expiring 06/05 SMR $13 calls expiring 06/05 Total price for all of them combined (1 each) is under $300. Get your feet wet. My advice would be not to wait to exit when they get in the money, cash out when you are maybe 30% up which is likely sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.
ENVX LTRX ai/drone component stocks before they moon next.
I shuffled them into LUNR at 7-8 dollars a share. I shuffled some in RDW at like 9 dollars a share. I shuffled some into rklbs at like 60 dollars a share. Also put a bit into ENVX when it was at 5 dollars a share. And most went into Nokia under 7 dollars a share.
Get the components too! LTRX, ENVX
ENVX, LTRX look them up gonna moon this year
not really, I have positions in AMPX, ENVX, SLDP, QS, SES, SLDP... and agree with u/partypantsdiscorock AMPX has strong fundamentals and momentum rn, it is pulling the whole sector up. Especially after a day like today it is getting even more attention on the sector. I closed my positions in FLNC but will reload soon. Considering ENPH puts because it is so overbought. SES is another ticker you can add that is likely the most speculative. AMPX is making me monies rn, but I keep watching the technicals on the others and maintain small speculative options positions, because when one of them starts to catch, and gets rerated even for a little bit it will get wild.
100% Amprius. Enovix has potential, but is well behind in execution. I hold both, but have twice as many shares of AMPX than ENVX. Despite AMPX's recent surge, I would still buy at current prices (and again on dips), whereas ENVX I would wait until it's under $7.
adding more NOK, FLNC, ENVX, SONY... vix 16.5 lol
Thanks for the kind words. My caveat with what follows is (only partly tongue in cheek) the best way to make money in the stock market is do the opposite of what I suggest! :-) In addition, I am a "fundamentals" guy - so I don't tend to gravitate to speculative high beta opportunities without proof points. For example, I like AMPX because they are very likely to hit triple digit millions in revenues this year, with an obvious path to profitability. But on the other hand, I'm not a fan of QS or SLDP because they have neither in their sights. ENVX is a bit of a tweener - closer to "real" but still lots of execution risk. Those three may end up as very successful firms. But as a stock buyer, I think I get paid to wait. So, what do I like? As a company, I like TDK (Tokyo exchange) as they own ATL and ATL is kicking butt in consumer electronics batteries. That impact is diluted by the scale of TDK parent. But I still like the "top co." EVE Energy Co (Shenzhen Exchange) is interesting as they appear to be gaining ground in China on BYD and CATL. Other battery companies I like are either private or captive. So, I like PowerCo, but it's 100% owned by VW. In that case, the scale of VW prohibits you riding PowerCo's progress alone, I think. The same may hold true for Molicel (E-Moli), which is owned by Taiwan Cement. I haven't researched top co there, but it may have a similar issue to PowerCo. It trades on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and also in the US on the pink sheets. Hope this is useful, or at least interesting.
$ENVX wtf is this stock itβs like roulette
Just ask Google: Why is ENVX going does?
Buying puts on a failed company. I bought WE when people werenβt renting business space because the switch in technology allowed people to stay home and run their companies. My puts were a couple months out. I could see my net liquid was up. There were some spots where the company was in trouble and I should have sold at that time and didnβt. But if you could find a failed company like: ENVX and do a Google on the company and see if itβs failing. It may be a good company to do puts on.

AMD has a strong case to keep growing. ENVX is super close to becoming a huge deal with their silicon batteries. They are starting to get sales in smart glasses and are working with Honor to get into phones. Main hang up seems to be perfecting their laser dicing, but it will get done.
I agree this movement is a sign of a squeeze. For those who donβt know, QS is on a mission to revolutionize energy storage by commercializing solid state lithium batteries. It popped up 9.5% today (5/6/26) on mostly average volume, while 20% of the float is shorted. Itβs down 25% YTD but up 29% in the last month. Corning also went up over 12% today with their $500 million dollar deal announcement with Nvidia and their annual investor day, where Corning went into depth on their Springboard plan and raised targets into 2030. QS and Corning are engaged in a strategic partnership focused on high-volume manufacturing of ceramic separators, the most critical component of QuantumScape's solid-state batteries, since fall of 2025. QS was also mentioned as part of Corningβs investor day today. The agenda included sessions from 11:00 am to noon today hosted by Corning business leaders and SMEs, which showcased Corning's Ribbon Ceramics as the foundational technology for QuantumScape's solid-state battery separators. Recently, QS crossed the MACD threshold (5, 20 and 50 day moving average). This is all while being down 25% down YTD today, with 6.3 days to cover for the shorts. I would not be surprised at all if QS continues to go up soon and fast. The fact that there are 6.3 days to cover but volume is not too high indicates the remaining shorts canβt exit too quickly, creating a constant floor of buying pressure. The pop in stock price today was not part of an overall rise in the battery industry, as indicated by Solid Power (SLDP) dropping 5%, Enovix (ENVX) dropping 3%, and Microvast (MVST) breaking even today. Also, PowerCo, the Volkswagen-owned battery company, just posted yesterday about their Unified Cell #1 featured in their new ID Polo, which will be compatible with a QS solid state battery in the future. Volkswagen has been working with QS for years and itβs just a matter of when, not if, they are producing cars with QS solid state batteries. Lot of good news catalysts recently for QS, but itβs still heavily shorted at the moment. Although they are a pre-revenue company still, other positive news include a recent Q1 earnings beat, improved production with their recently inaugurated AI enhanced Eagle Line production line in San Jose, CA, $11 million in confirmed customer billings for Q1 2026 (which is outpacing 2025 by a wide margin), possessing close to $1 billion in liquidity, and multiple JDAs with top 10 automotive OEMs (announced with Volkswagen but unannounced with the others, although high potential candidates include Honda and Ford). This is not to mention the fact they brought in 2 new executives with ties to the defense industry to the board, Ross Niebergall, defense sector executive who most recently served as President of Aerojet Rocketdyne and Chief Technology Officer at L3Harris, and Dr. Mark Maybury, a former U.S. Air Force Chief Scientist and Lockheed Martin executive. They also brought in Geoff Ribar to the board this year, who is a former Nvidia CFO in their early growth phase in the 2010s and has over 40 years of experience in tech and semiconductors. Siva Sivaram, the CEO, has expressed multiple times since the Q1 earning call two weeks ago that they are entering new markets like AI data centers, aerospace, drones, and defense. Obviously, this is a speculative play, but the recent price action and news are indicating huge potential.
ENVX one to watch on the runup to earnings
Been loading on ENVX since it dipped below $10. Huge short % and promising company. TJ Rodgers involvement gives me a fair amount of long-term confidence in reasonable growth but it could easily be squeezed to the moon short-term if enough people pile on before shorties can get out. Fwiw this is coming from an engineer who has stayed away from battery stocks like the plague until this one.
ENVX, put any amount of money that you don't mind fluctuating by +/- 20% and let it sit. They are trying to figure out how to produce a battery with a carbon anode that is "pre-lithiated", but the key to their company is that they do everything very conservatively with established manufacturing technology. Other battery companies will publish over the top results but are just science fair projects that can't be replicated on any kind of scale, ENVX is 100% focused on scale and ability to be manufactured.
Thoughts on POET or ENVX ?
Anyone buying ENVX at this price?
They're all good- SMR is at support, NKE could fall to 54 bc of strait of hormuz/China export fears, but 57-58 is great entry, ENVX is close to support, but could hit low 4s.Β I'd add OKLO but it's being manipulated. These are far from my favorite stocks, but neutrally, they're all no brainers.
NKE, SMR, ENVX- buy the dip. Shit's gonna rip once they bottom out, which they may already have.Β
Is ENVX not a consideration? The short volume is at 35% with 7-8 days to cover. It is heavily oversold compared to analyst ratings too. Social media posts suggest that short selling is over leveraging now

Nah, I don't touch 0dtes anymore. Too exciting, so I know I wont act sensibly. I want it to feel as boring as possible when I'm trading! I think you mean KULR ? Anyways, I had positions in all three almost equally. But I redistributed them. 1. $KULR - I stepped away from KULR when they started to buy and hold Bitcoin. Thereβs nothing wrong with that, but I felt like they started to lose focus on their primary business. 2. $ENVX - I believed in them for a while that theyβd have a strong partnership with big players like Meta, but so far they havenβt received any such deals. With high capex and fabs in Malaysia , they are yet to have large deals. The battery for consumers market is very competitive. So I got rid of most of my stakes. I will wait for a good quarter to step back in. 3. $AMPX - This is the only company that is scaling pretty fast, with doubling or tripling their revenue. I feel like theyβve proved pretty well , already partnered with large companies, set up contract manufacturing, which gives less margins but almost no capex and can be scaled pretty quickly. Theyβre on track to get complete NDAA compliance. The company is in the right time to be able to benefit a lot from the drone dominance programme. Iβm increasing my positions whenever possible.
