Allow me to be the one to type out what every trader here with some basic competence is thinking: CEO/leadership buying stock is what you do when shareholders are losing confidence in the stock. But 2 million out of a net worth of 1.2 billion is a tenth of 1% of his wealth, putting it in a way you can understand given that ~5k is nearly half of your portfolio - its like you putting in 20 bucks into the stock. 600 million in revenue might sound impressive, but its net income margins are and have been negative. And that 600 million figure is down and has been decreasing from 850 million the year before and 1 billion the year before that. People don’t trade on what a stock is, they trade on its trajectory and its trajectory does not inspire confidence. It would take forever to list out the rest of the specifics on the financials, but just know the ratios regarding GPRO’s long term solvency and short term liquidity are in the gutter. Return on Equity and Return on assets are starting to ‘smile’ a little bit but are still negative and very, very far from where they should be. Bro, honestly, there’s just far better and far safer stocks to be bullish on. Whether I buy is frequently based on fundamental analysis, supplementing with technical analysis and macro for an entry. Its fundamentals are bad, so there’s no point to do TA. And I do not understand what macro there could possibly be to buy this stock. If I was in that position, i’d eat a 10% loss and reflect on what my justification (beyond hype, greed, emotion, and GREED 🫵) I had for getting into the stock. None of this is financial advice.
Nice job! I'll give my unsolicited advice but you should heed it. I'm actually not mad at all at you exercising those. The chart looks amazing, the run could continue actually. But there will be a time to sell. If your real reason you got into this stock was some Reddit communities then there is a real danger here for you. 1. You don't really have the maturity as a trader and you got extraordinarily lucky, only you know in your heart if this is true. If you did get really lucky and you are willing to admit that then the following will serve you well. 2. You will have to sell at some point, you just won't know when that is. 3. I'm sure the numbers have gotten insane for you but you cannot fall in love with this stock, you just can't. **This is a money making vehicle.** ASTS doesn't know or care about you and you have to view this money objectively at this point, its life changing and you have to be willing to sell at some point. You just need to know when that is. 4. I am not a valuation guy, by any means, but this runup in this stock will be stopped by one of a few things. a. Them starting to make actual money because they only have 18M in sales for a 32B market cap is actually crazy so when something like this runs it can stop due to actual good earnings. b. Very heavy volume at a very vertical point, this is climax selling please look this up it could coincide with earnings or not. Earnings will be harder to say its climactic but it definitely could be. c. A failure of some kind. Things like this sometimes fail operationally, like a bad satellite or something, just be aware. I have seen this too many times, I had a friend go from 20k to 2M in BTC and lost it all. Someone went from 50k to 4M and lost it all, I have seen it many, many times! Too many! Making money does not make you wise nor smart and I don't say that to be mean! I want you to keep this money! I actually want this stock to double again and double your money again. Just know that the party will end and you will have to sell. I'll just say going to $2m and then $4M is actual real, life changes. Going from $2M to $1M is still amazing but not super life changing, honestly. At this point if I were you, and I have been you in this circumstance, I set a floor at $1M and NEVER go below that for any reason. ASTS doesn't care if you make money in the trade. But you do. For guidance, I would like to lead you to the Solar sector rally in the mid 2000's, DDD, FSLR, SSYS, GPRO, TLRY, I mean it can go on and on and on. People that make big money in stocks that they fall in love with like a security blanket and they never cash out. Then the stock falls and NEVER recovers and the person can't bring themself to sell, its ego, its embarasement, its hope, its fear, its greed. Its an impossible situation and I don't want you to fall victim. PLEASE AT SOME POINT CASH OUT. Set a floor or look for climactic selling, you can google that and DYOR. Great Job! Just be wise.

$GPRO is an excellent squeeze candidate. The tape is thin and someone had added to their short position when it ran weeks ago. They can afford to hold it because of the low cost to borrow, but if buy volume picks up, that cost goes up because of the thin tape.
How do we know this isn't the second wave already? I remember back at the end of July DNUT/BYND/GPRO and a couple other basket stocks spiked in a similar fashion, although not as high. If you count the trading days though the distance between the spikes in July and October on BYND is 60 days pretty much on the dot, and both of the highest price peaks happened on Wednesdays.

For my $0.02 a lot of people have been chasing the dragon that was $GME/DFV and the most famous short squeeze ever pulled off by retail traders. Agreed DFV was a God over at /r/wallstreetbets and you need that sort of hero worship to lead a bona fide diamond hands group of apes. He would batter huge losses that would send most people packing. There’s a reason Netflix made a movie out of it. Haven’t seen it since. For example earlier this summer there were attempts to recreate the magic with $GPRO and $DNUT, but no “leader”. Over on stocktwits people half-heartedly congregated to encourage a hive mind, but it never really developed critical mass and a lot of people left the party early.

I have 2k shares of GPRO with an average price of $1.985 , it's now trading at $2.81
They have 450 PB of 4k video data stored in their cloud by their users. The video data is very unique and generally hard to come by. They announced an AI licensing program where users can opt in. Early beta in the US has reported a high rate of users opting in. 5 PB of video data is roughly 125,000 hours. This can be worth $5-40mm depending on type of data (the range is wide because certain companies want very specific or hard to get videos, think extreme sports, POV, etc are worth more than say a family reunion video). For a company whose market cap is $300mm, the above potential revenue can be astronomical (estimated revenue increase could very well be beyond the market cap of the company). Since there’s been reasonable indication that users are willing to opt in, the risk now on the table is whether or not GPRO will manage the licensing deals to AI companies correctly. Seems like a good risk reward to me.

Rotation from OPEN to GPRO
These are penny stocks, the "siren song" that leads you down the path of financial destruction is thinking your really going to jump right in and find the next one that will "blow up". Find penny stocks that are going up and down.... and back up like a wave. Buy on the dip, at the historical low points. In other words look for penny stocks being pumped and dumped. Look for stable stocks not about to reverse split or worse. This is where the $$ is in buying penny stocks. At first limit yourself to 1k in any penny stock until you been at it for a yr or two. If by that time your not broke then on in deeper, invest more. My limit is 10k in any penny stock. I like lower end stocks at .25 or less. I buy at the dip and sell within 1 to 4 weeks when it goes back up or just watch until my up side is 1k. If price flutters up to that point I sell. If price strongly ramps up until that point I hold longer and watch because there is usually more to be had, as in, don't sell too soon and make 1.5 to 3k. I am usually only in a stock for 2 to 7 days before I get my 10 to 20% and sell. Greed is good... lets not pretend we are not all greedy. But don't trade penny stocks with only the attitude your going to kill it on a huge blow up. That only happens once in a while and you wont catch it early enough until your a smarter longer term experienced penny trader. That means if you been at it for a yr or two and your not broke yet you are a lot more likely to learn how to find a penny stock that might blow up. I recently had one of my junk stocks "short squeeze" and "blow up", it was GPRO. I had no experience with a "short squeeze" before that but since then I lave leaned a hell of a lot about that subject. Now I follow some people who know a lot about it and post stocks they have done a lot of research on and thus can be judged "not full of crap" and stocks they post about are good candidates to buy, as in, reasonably stable - I wont lose my 10k in a month if I buy in. since I am new to the "squeeze" stocks I missed a few recent opportunities to really kill it on stocks that did as predicted and blew up pretty hard. So look into stocks that are about to "squeeze". Learn all that you can and keep learning until you can tell totally on your own if you should or should not buy any stock. All the possible reasons it will reverse split or the company will go broke or the stock price could go down or might go up. When you can figure that stuff out on your own, not by reading what some one else says, you are ready to actually invest. Do not ever and I mean ever just go buy a stock after reading a post here. Most post about any stock are people participating in pump and dump and they are not posting to help you, they are posting to personally profit from many people buying the stock they post about. If you made it to this point and understand what I am getting at you might actually be qualified to invest in penny stocks. If you did not understand any of this or what I am getting at or only read the first paragraph then your just meat on a hook and are about to be "the next fool who is quickly parted from his $$". I was that fool but only lost 1/2 my $$ then vowed to learn and make it back, plus much more.
