Is it possible this guy on WSBafterhours knows what he’s talking about: Go Pro - I am the man from Nantucket GPRO — everyone priced the camera, no one priced the data. i did. position: long GPRO, significant. i own a lot because the market is valuing a box of plastic and glass while ignoring the thing that actually matters: the dataset. the simple version gopro accidentally built one of the largest egocentric video datasets on earth. years of first-person footage with synchronized sensors (imu, gps, audio, gyro), shot across every sport, climate, and lighting condition, by people who opted-in and uploaded to the cloud. that’s not “more cat videos.” that’s training fuel for embodied ai, robotics, ar, coaching, insurance, safety, and autonomous capture. the camera is the shovel. the gold is the pile of labeled dirt behind the tent. what makes their data different (and why that matters) 1. egocentric POV at scale. phone videos point out; gopro points where the body is going. that’s motion, intention, and environment from the actor’s eyes. if you want models that understand actions, balance, terrain, and momentum, you need this vantage point. 2. multi-sensor ground truth. video + imu + gps + barometer + audio. you can derive speed, g-force, altitude change, turns, impacts, and align that to frames without human labeling. that turns dumb pixels into structured training examples automatically. 3. consistency. same lens families, similar mount geometry, repeatable metadata. models love consistency; it lowers noise and improves convergence. 4. consented rights. the uploaders check a box; the cloud stores it; the terms allow opt-in data use and revenue share. the stuff that kills everyone else (rights and ambiguity) is the moat. 5. coverage. not just skateparks. skiing, mtb, wingsuits, rally, diving, construction, rescue, motorsports, drones, travel. daylight, night, underwater, snow, dust, rain. you cannot brute-force re-create that variety with staged shoots in a studio. there are three ways to price a corpus like this in my notebook: a) replacement cost: what would it take to film, clean, and align tens of millions of hours with sensors across those environments? multi-year, global, seven-figure daily burn, still won’t match the organic diversity. b) per-hour licensing: premium, rights-clean, multi-sensor egovideo is scarce. multiple buyers can license the same hour non-exclusively across verticals. you don’t need crazy rates for the math to get big when the base is huge. c) downstream value: if your model’s mistake rate in, say, sports analytics, drones, or ar assistance drops in half because you fed it the right distribution, the value doesn’t show up in “content costs”; it shows up in product wins. in fiction-land where i live, a banker deck pegs the gopro data platform at a round number: 10B. not because someone pays it tomorrow, but because that’s where you land when you sum a) realistic multi-tenant licensing over a few years, b) a carve-out spin, and c) options on vertical models (coach-ai, safety-ai, drone-ai). the punchline: the equity trades like the data is worth zero. how the flywheel actually works 1. creators film → auto-tagging + sensors generate machine-readable events (jump, carve, crash, dive). 2. the cloud clusters similar sequences across users/contexts. think “all backcountry turns on 35° slopes in flat light” or “high-g shocks on downhill bikes over rock gardens.” 3. model shop turns those clusters into training packs. sell non-exclusively to labs and oems; share revenue with the uploaders who contributed to the pack. more revenue attracts more uploads, attracts more buyers. 4. deploy distilled models back to the camera/app. on-device assist: horizon lock, collision hints, best-moment previews, auto-cut. every user becomes a data refiner. margins improve on both sides. near-term things that make the tape wake up in this story • the “we were a camera company, now we’re a data platform” investor day. real numbers, not vibes: petabytes under management, active contributors, revenue per hour of licensed packs, attach rate of revenue sharing. • a name-brand lab announcing a training partnership. doesn’t matter if it’s for robotics, ar, or sports analytics; the headline is “we license gopro for foundation model fine-tuning.” • on-device ai features shipping. once people see highlights and coaching that actually work because the model was trained on the right POV, they stop thinking “gadget” and start thinking “portal.” • legal wins that fence off clones. you don’t need to nuke competitors; you just need enough edge + rights clarity that buyers prefer your corpus. pushback you’ll hear and how i think about it “phones killed action cams.” phones can’t be bolted to a helmet, surfboard, or roll cage for hours in a blizzard with synchronized imu logs. different instrument. “youtube/tiktok have more video.” yes, and it’s mostly third-person, rights-hairy, and unlabeled. different distribution, different job. “who pays for data?” anyone shipping models that need to understand human motion and environment from the actor’s perspective: robotics groups, ar headset teams, drone autonomy, sports tech, insurers, safety/training vendors, mapping. they already buy text, images, and code; the next fight is video + sensors. my position and why i sized it big this is a mislabel. the market stamped “commodity camera.” the underlying asset is a rights-clean egocentric corpus with sensor truth a decade deep. the company doesn’t have to become a pure software name tomorrow; it just has to show recurring, multi-tenant licensing plus visible on-device ai that proves the loop. if they do that, the multiple doesn’t creep; it jumps.

I come back to this post weeks later, it seems that GPRO is resisting the move below $1.20, as I said this stock can flip either way. I have no idea why it didn't move past $1.40s, the company reduced their negatives, and they plan to reduce their debt by $94M in the coming months, they anticipate at least 500k units sold etc etc. They arent doing as bad as other companies, but I understand that their folley was relying on 1 product ( the GoPRO cameras ). All the other functions and features revolve around their product camera (subscription). Even their AI initiative revolves around content shot by their cameras. So i can see why growth has stunted. Not really pumping out new horses so to speak. For whatever reason, someone wants to drop this stock down in value, I currently only holding 10 @ 1.33 avg. It spent several weeks like this at the ~.80 floor, it's difficult to say what will happen. It hasn't really shot up ($1.40s), but it hasn't really fell down (not lower than $1.16). It's tough to tell, market sentiment really is a different beast than the business fundamentals

Oh wow, first OPEN and DNUT miss earnings and now IOVA. You'd think just random pump & dumping would be able to pick, by chance alone, one stock that wasn't totaly garbage. GPRO next week

This is usually spoken in the context of a speculative bubble. Of course the best advice is always be buying, and the flip side of that coin to be greedy when others are fearful. Plenty of people got swept up in the greed over a hype stock when they probably should have been running for the hills. We all remember Gamestop, AMC and BBBY meme stocks. Only 1 is really somewhat in the green for some investors today. Then you have DNUT, GPRO, and BB which crashed after social media hype. Then of course there's the penny stocks most people never heard of, but then everyone gets on board when some big angel investor starts tweeting. Like YHC a couple weeks ago.

Hey did you get GPRO 👀

The issue with go pro is that when it was at its peak, there were very few competent competitors. Now there are a ton of great quality competitors, with cheaper prices. Data Storage size doesn’t matter because you both need active subscribers to sell, and a buyer to purchases the data. That doesn’t mean old go pro footage that has banked would be put up for sale, let alone actually sell. It would be more realistic to say a small percentage of new users will agree. GPRO just seems like another case of BB(blackberry) failed to remain competitive in its prime

Mentions:#GPRO#BB

No buddy, you are at a great price from 1.19-1.10. The algos will not push it lower than this. GPRO closed very bullish on the monthly. That’s a sign of buyers holding for more

Mentions:#GPRO

I’m looking at GPRO, might hit that $2 soon

Mentions:#GPRO

Yeah i see what you're getting at, aside from actual core business values that are still in need of review, I honestly made good money this last pump and dump. 2.5x pure profit, I got in and out responsibly. I'm fully aware of the inherent risks that come investing with a business like this. Facts of the matter are, this stock dropped to .37 beginning of last month. I got in late at .7425, but this sucker still hit 2.70 momentarily on hype alone from its positive litigation news. Insta360 has been their biggest competitor. I honestly find it way too convenient that the commission voted in favor of GPRO during litigation. Felt like a business move, and that's exactly what Insta360 thought as well. I have heard that they are doing their own litigation on the decision made earlier this month. The Insta360 company believes that the decision was too strategic of a move and conveniently timed with no substance behind it. Contesting the decision in court, we will see how this plays out. All in all, facts point to a potential rise in the coming days. Not all those countless of uploaded vids are going to be valuable, I'd say less than 2% of the total minutes recorded on GPRO will have a chance at actually getting compensated handsomely. I don't really get AI, but companies have made their moves into the growing industry in their own various ways. Even if it is paltry, GPRO is making that same move towards AI integration in their own way. I've always disliked how my video automatically uploads to the cloud network. Felt like I don't own the videos I recorded on my own camera. But with the recent news this changes one main issue I've had with GPRO to begin with. Part ownership of those videos, by offering 50% licensing revenue of your videos. I think there is real potential for another quick raise before the ultimate drop in share price as you said. But with that news alone, hype can carry it back to at least a $2/share price. But I can also see the stock dropping sub $1.2 still, just not right now. I'm trying to objectively look at the news released recently and it isn't a coincidence. They just got positive news from the litigation case and are awaiting further decisions until November 10. From now until then, there's plenty of time for it to go down to a share price of under $1. But as it stands, it could turn up real quick before making that decline, I'm not certain on it though. A share price of $1.2 is a bit higher than what my original in was, and a bit over what I would actually pay for it. It's really tough decision to make. It could tank further. It is considered a meme stock now. But I simply can't disregard the recent pump it had, which at the peak had returns of 7x at the lowest dip of .37, and a recent high of $2.70. Whether I dislike the business, or whether I view it as a failing one, if you got in on time you made money. Returns this time around definitely won't match that, but there is potential for a 1x here, and that's what i'm looking at. The potential to 1x, that's why I bought in at .7425, on the potential it could and it did for me. I was very fortunate to have gotten in at a reasonable price and make profit, on a shitty company nonetheless. Still, it could go either way atm, I can see it dipping under a dollar as well, so this makes it really difficult to proceed. The volatile factor is higher now with a share price of over $1.

Big news could be dropping before AUG 15 — the CEO could announce a private restructuring and maturity extension on $93.8M convertible notes due nov. This move would: Remove huge debt overhang Avoid nasty dilution/ reverse split Give GoPro more runway to crush it with MAX2 & subscriptions 📈If this hits, expect a rally pushing GPRO from $1.30 up to $2+ — a potential short squeeze catalyst! Why is the probability of this extremely high? 1: CEO wants to avoid dilution & preserve the stock price. He’s shown relentlessly how much he cares about his company debt, to the point where he waived his 850k salary! That’s how a real founder CEO behaves. 2. Institutional noteholders prefer restructuring over messy defaults or fire sales 3. Recent similar deals in tech companies make this a common&realistic path Eyes on filings &news in the next 3 weeks — this could be the turnaround spark GoPro investors have been waiting for! Copied from 212 Looks interesting, I’m following!

I'd stay out of GPRO unless it goes well under 1.00.... for me that get back in price would be more like .50 cents, and I think it will go down that much. Investors got no respect for GPRO and for good reason, many of them/me/us lost $$ on it. Problem for GPRO is called CHINA. Most people now can buy super cheap cams for 1/3 or less what a GPRO cost. How are they going to recover from that? Answer: they are not and sharing videos with AI for training is like asking you to drive across town to save .01 cents. In other words, it's a joke. GPRO is grasping at straws trying to pump itself up but most people... me and most others who have been the victim of investing in GPRO will just laugh and say good luck with that. GPRO is now a Niche of what it started out as. Due to that that share price crashed. I suggest you stay away. No value there investment wise unless you want to short it. Entire reason it came back on the radar is it short squeezed its way up over 2.00. So you think this AI bull crap is gonna pump it back up? No value there. Stay away. Go pro has no value except as a dog stock to pump and dump. Problem... hard to pump as unlike most penny stocks GPRO is not a mystery, we all know what it does what it did and what it can't do any more. Facts straight out in full view, that makes it hard to pump, most investors know that except for newbs who get taken in by BS like "look at the shiny AI thing"... that is going to really ad value because AI is the new "BIG THING". I can be your new best friend because I'm going to save you a bunch of cash, DON'T BUY GPRO, unless it goes full retard pump/dump and goes back down to .50.

Mentions:#GPRO#DON

Yo GPRO could have potential/some decent +60% potential gains in the books. Company announced on July 30th, 2025 they are allotting 50% intellectual licensing revenue of your videos to teach/train AI. That's bananas, before I owned 0%. So the potential for anything ever recorded on GPRO software which they say is both "over 450 petabytes of high-quality video footage.", as well as "Access to valuable data asset of 450+ petabytes of diverse video content,". 😂 all in the same article yupp. https://www.stocktitan.net/news/GPRO/go-pro-launches-opt-in-ai-training-ux5pw5apei3o.html Anyways the point i'm making, the graph reacted in the same exact manner when it hit the stall of .83 just weeks ago, before it hit $2.70. It could go down .20 cents though, I just don't know . But judging from relatively positive AI news, and a potential for subscribers to own a percentage of that revenue. That sounds like a really good news! This could potentially add jobs that didn't exist in the market before. Imagine your 10 second clip of you farting under water is used to train AI to detect vibrations through a saline solution? All jokes aside you getting the point. Again nothing really concrete in terms of sure thing or anything not trying to hype it up, simply a discussion. I know logistically the company is still in the red so there's that, but they have attempted to reduce costs to slow bleed down. All in all, I might sell the 1000 RAYA shares I bought @ .0599 when market opens on Monday. Idk when but it'll happen that day. Even with my loss of my entry ;1000 @ .1267 . Those lower stocks will be netting me +$77.7, keeping the higher ones until market correction. I should have sold at .09 today, but I wasn't focused. Still holding 2000 shares. By not putting all of it in i was able to avoid the massive dip down, allowing me to enter at a lower without breaking the wallet. These gains will be used to purchase GPRO soon. But the news is in and markets are closed. If anything happens it's Monday for sure. This is my game plan. Happy huntings

GPRO: 7/23 I got out at 1.60, missed the short squeeze high over 2 or so and that cost me. if it goes below 1.00 I be tempted to jump back in... maybe, but not as deep as last time. Every time I think GPRO can't go lower it does. GPRO taught me what a squeeze was and when I should have dumped, first hr of the squeeze when it hits highest point. After that it heads downhill like an Olympic skier due to more people tuning in and screaming HOLY SHIT... SELL SELL...

Haha don't hate on IXHL, whether it is good or bad wasn't the problem. You should be looking for potential growth, which IXHL did even if it did pump and dump, there was still profit in it if you got in and out responsibly. I missed out on it multiple times, and now I dont think it'll be moving like that for quite some time. I think GPRO should be on your radar, they still have to decide further litigation on all non GPRO devices that infringed on their patent( specifically the Insta360 cameras). Further litigation proceedings should be announced on November 10, 2025. Whether you think GPRO is a sucky company doesn't matter, that stock 2.5x this month, even more if you bought in at the .37 position. I imagine all the pump hype is gone and it will be scoring under $1 in the coming weeks, at least until we get closer to the November 10th deadline. I'm all ears for any suggestions as well, i'm on the hunt for some gains 💪🏽

File this under user error. Kids, this is what selling options on crazy high IV stocks (AEO, OPEN, DNUT, GPRO) will do vs BUYING options. Notice the dates. https://preview.redd.it/539phk6ce0gf1.png?width=1592&format=png&auto=webp&s=6ce0f9556ed1972f032986a66a2cfe4ea55127a4
