What should I focus most on? Work 457k? Roth IRA?
The state comptroller recommends that the MTA utilize its funding surplus to address its debt obligations

Some hot stocks you can hold for the future. We are in the beginning of a commodity supercyle and these are my plays.

MTA raising the fare to $3 starting next month
Well you clearly know better then the multi billion major pharma who signed an MTA and extended it with an exclusive licensing deal option. Good luck on your entry 🫣
You need to be in the gold and silver mining stocks..if you are risk averse.. NEM B GDX…more risky higher returns(your young you should do this) GDXJ SILJ AG CDE HL MTA IAG…just dollar cost average buy dips over the next 5 years and you will do very well…god bless…make sure to get some physical too(I think you can wait a bit for this)
LEXX has a MTA with an unknown big pharma co that may or may not proceed with us after they view our upcoming Phase 1b GLP-1/ CBD clinical study results due this quarter. Speculators are leaning towards it being Novo but it could be anyone!
This looks very interesting, looks like they signed a MTA with Nova Nordisk
Looks at the MTA of NYC 👀 haha
Dude I deadass just did 2 weeks in Japan and you’re very right. I get curious and look up salaries along the way when I travel. Even Bullet Train conductors get paid less than MTA new hires. It is WILD. Granted cost of living is WAY less (housing wise atleast). But when I was in El Salvador in May I was shocked when searching up general incomes. Geographical privilege is def appreciated more once traveling.
Check out $MTA. Would get 5 times the shares.
MTA is "Material Transfer Agreement" not Master Technology Agreement
In NYC the MTA hired people that are getting paid min wage to guard exit doors. It break evens if the hiring of the guards can prevent 6 people (6 x $2.9 mta fare = $17.4) from not paying.
This is my accumulation zone for sure. The more I read the more I like. I’m not sure on specific date but the MTA. Here is a little help from you know who lol. Why I’m Bullish on $LEXX (Lexaria Bioscience) 1. Unique Position in GLP-1 Delivery – LEXX’s DehydraTECH platform can make oral delivery of large, injectable-only drugs possible. Right now, GLP-1 drugs (like semaglutide and tirzepatide) are the hottest thing in biotech, and LEXX is the only public company with a proven oral delivery tech in human studies for these drugs. 2. Ongoing Human Trials – The current GLP-1-H24-4 trial has multiple arms, including one with tirzepatide (Lilly’s blockbuster). This isn’t a mouse study—it’s human clinical data, which is the milestone that usually catches Big Pharma’s attention. Topline results are expected late Q3–early Q4 2025. 3. MTA Mystery – LEXX signed a Material Transfer Agreement earlier this year with an undisclosed Fortune 500 pharma company to test DehydraTECH with their proprietary molecules. They haven’t said who, but in the GLP-1 space, the realistic candidates are very limited—think Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly territory. 4. Patent Moat – Over 40 patents globally, covering delivery of GLP-1s, nicotine, cannabinoids, NSAIDs, and more. Even if GLP-1 is the current market darling, LEXX could monetize in multiple verticals. 5. Why This Matters – If their human trial shows meaningful efficacy and safety, it’s a de-risking event for the tech. That opens the door for licensing, co-development, or outright acquisition.
Look to the gold and silver royalty companies like FNV WPM MTA OR etc. you get exposure to precious metals and some income in the meantime. PSLV for a liquid silver exposure.

It does when you dump 6 BILLION DOLLARS into carbon neutral crackers! Are you this stupid every day? Cost: $6.5 billion USD, excluding government incentives and subsidies. Capacity Expansion: The project aims to increase polyethylene capacity by 2 million metric tons per year (MTA) and decarbonize 20% of Dow's global ethylene capacity. Emissions Reduction: It is designed to eliminate 1 million MTA of CO2e annually by converting cracker off-gas to hydrogen for fuel and employing carbon capture and storage. Economic Impact: The project is expected to generate $1 billion in EBITDA growth per year at full run rates. Technology: The project will utilize Linde's air separation and autothermal reformer technology to convert cracker off-gas to hydrogen, which will be used as a clean fuel for the site's furnaces. Government Support: The project is supported by incentives and subsidies from federal, provincial, and local authorities. The Alberta government, for example, is contributing approximately $1.8 billion through the Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program.
Dear MTA, NYC Subway, and LIRR. You are absolute dog shit and I have hated you for the last 20 years.

This is my own D.D. deduction. $LEXX do MTA with an unknown Pharma Co. Results from GLP-1 studies are successful so far. A $2,000,000 worth of shares buyout at $1 each has been made by a single individual. Novo Nordisk as just fired their CEO after 8 years of service even after he led the company to the top of their sector. All this because rival company Eli Lilly took 1st place in the segment with their obesity pill success. Now, the creators of Ozempic need a new CEO and, a new technology or something revolutionary in order to get back at the top of their game. This is where Lexaria comes in play. DehydraTECH has already proven better than Eli Lilly's Tirzepatide (or Semaglutide.. I don't know) pill. Is Novo Nordisk the secret Pharma Co. in the MTA negotiations? I have no clue. But Lexaria Bioscience have a secret ingredient who surpasses Eli Lilly's product who just surpassed Novo Nordisk. I did my D.D. and I may be completely offside.. then again, it's almost like some stars are aligning themselves imho. We will see. Holding 950 share and need more.
That’s what my old man keeps saying😆 I’m gonna let my 30k (NVDA, BBAI, MTA.V) hangout I’m not going to pull it. I’m just preparing to sink 50-60k in when shit gets serious.
We have used both MTA and MMM over the last six years. We've got some very good minds making these decisions.
Elon Musk will cause a recession because he is destroying shadow economy and not replacing it with anything. You cannot just cut spending and expect economy to grow. People are hoarding cash fearing who will next lose their job. There are 40k employees at MTA in New York, they are afraid they will lose jobs if Trump or Elon decide to cut federal spending on MTA.
This is no joke, WTF is the MTA doing. Red orange yellow style is THE quintessential design. I am lviid
The whole scheme was to bail out MTA. This shit has nothing to do with air or the environment.

Dude. The train operators (people in the front driving the train as opposed to the conductor in the middle of the train who mumbles into the microphone and manages the doors) fo through some seriously difficult stuff. Every operator is going to experience what you did at least once in the first few years on the job. It's horrifying. Now we have an uptick in "subway surfers" (idiots on top of the train) and it's usually young kids falling to their dismemberment or (more likely) death. Cannot imagine the horror these MTA employees experience. Sorry you had to experience it.
That is correct. I’m stuck in Texas. This past summer, I was in NYC and got to try out the MTA subway… while efficient, it was extraordinarily unclean in some stations. Most of the train cars were okay-ish… but it was pretty bad once I got out on some of the stops. The stank was ultra real and ultra-horrid. I feel like it might be hard to introduce a European- or Asian-like mass transit system as it would require a significant culture change in USA around respecting public property that is shared with everyone and cleanliness in public places. We are individualistic to an utter fault… to our benefit and disadvantage.
And isn't the MTA projecting a 1 billion~ deficit?
[bloomberg link](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-10-04/carpenter-claims-he-made-306-million-on-tesla-then-lost-it-all?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTcyODA3MjMwNywiZXhwIjoxNzI4Njc3MTA3LCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJTS1UxR0VEV1JHRzEwMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiI1QjExNUEyNUFDQUI0Q0ZGQTlBMDg2RDE1RjlFNzk0NSJ9.NJLWeYCObZcE0LwrldUYDm4UcAZAyRAMJzhfKVhuAas) nanas: if you recognize this regard as your grandson, please step forward
saw this hot but dirty blonde girl being homeless at an MTA station. All i need is to let her use my shower and i get a VERY cheap hooker
MTA better look for every penny they can find. They’re billions in the hole and that congestion bullshit ain’t happening.
#seeing MTA Train 🚊 fair evaders get caught in NYC is so awsome lmao 🤣 You got fined 100$ for not paying the buss lmao 🤣
Look at the royalty companies like FNV and WPM. You get exposure to gold while getting some income. SAND and MTA more risky. OR is another one. $GDX is the only gold etf worth looking at.
MTA gets you where you want to go.
The reason it's stupid isn't mainly safety. Tunnels for cars which are designed in a way that's even safer than even any theoretical train tunnel could ever be would still be extremely stupid. This is because of capacity and throughput. [Kawasaki's R211 is used by the New York MTA in the subway and has a great Wikipedia article](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R211_(New_York_City_Subway_car\)). A 5 car train is 91.76m long and fits ~240 people. The Telsa Model 3 is 4,6m long and seats 4 (apart from the driver). I'm sure you can see where this is going. If you fill your tunnel with trains, 1 driver and ~100m of vehicle can take ~240 passengers. If you fill it with Telsas ~100m if vehicle would be 21 cars, requiring 21 drivers and fitting 84 passengers. That's really bad. Any amount of money spend on developing a transit option this bad is a complete waste. Imagine if some moron tried to pitch you on a train that need 21 drivers and offered 35% the capacity of a normal train.
Decent transit line but overshadowed by New York’s MTA
Gold trends for a while then it reverses. Gold/silver royalty companies like FNV WPM SAND MTA etc. give you income. At some point income becomes more important than capital appreciation. I also like GNT. BSM for other minerals.
The MTA just approved a $15 toll on vehicles entering Manhattan south of 60th St 👀

NYA MTA is an outlier in every sense. using that for reference is a mistake cost per passenger-mile is largely determined by ridership, since operating trains/trams is expensive and you must maintain reasonable headway. so yes, busy corridors will have low cost per passenger-mile. but low-medium ridership locations tend to have $2-$8 per passenger-mile. that low-medium ridership market niche is where Loop is targeted. there currently aren't modes that work well in that low-medium ridership niche, due to operating expenses.

Not per passenger-mile. It looks like the trains cost $14 per mile (but can carry way more than 7 people).
#MASSIVE CHET ABOUT TO HAPPEN WITH MTA NYC CONGESTIVE PRICING 15$ just to get into Manhattan Food will go up Used cars will flood the market Inflation about to pound mens cheeks as all them trucks will have to set some cash to pay up for using mahattan roads to super markets and ext People about to buy so many fake plates from Amazon it’s crazy There is money to be made gets your azz up and think !!!! #MTA CONGESTION PRICING HOW THE Fook will I pay 15$ just To drive to Manhattan for Grindr dates ? EXPAIN
…Most of the stations in europe like france and uk are older and nicer than the NYC MTA. John tried to force a point that makes no sense man.
Dude went viral for being a stereotypical Staten Islander but on drugs, he uses the MTA door closing chime as his hook.
It depends on how you spin it. Let’s state the facts without spin. JOBS: 1/3rd of the jobs added over the past year have been government jobs; there is massive government expansion rather than increasing employment in private sector. Many of the others are in healthcare, which is getting more expensive every year. INFLATION: Although the rate of inflation is slowing, things are dramatically more expensive YoY for the last 3 years, from rent and house prices to groceries and services. Even if the rate of inflation slows to nothing, things are still way, way more expensive than they were just a short time ago and wages have not kept up. I can’t imagine what people making federal minimum wage are going through. IMMIGRATION: The budgets of many cities are severely impacted by the influx of immigrants, forcing them to cut services to citizens and forgoe plans to expand assistance to other services that very much need it (mental health, homelessness, affordable housing, education, libraries, etc.) This is making people bat an eye more closely at certain behaviors I.e. the MTA asking for billions to repair 3 escalators and build one elevator. There are obviously kick backs and corruption going on, but if you’re cutting essential services + social services, but the corrupt politicians and their friends aren’t suffering, then it leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths.
Looking at your ApplePay for MTA is only how many times you paid for it with ApplePay. It knows your location; it should look up how many times you were on a subway track. half /s
It is absolutely crazy to me how useless Siri has become over the years. Not only is the listening and comprehension the same as it was 5+ years ago, but the search results and UI are genuinely terrible. OpenAI’s ChatGPT’s database is limited to public data up until a certain date, while iOS can access live data on Safari and other browsers. The fact that you can ask Siri a question and it doesn’t have a good answer quickly is mind boggling to me. If they integrated a top AI with their other products such as ApplePay, it could be a total game changer. I should be able to say “hey Siri, how many times did I take the subway last month?” and should instantaneously be able to analyze my ApplePay transaction data and know that the $2.90 MTA charges that I pay twice a day to commute are the NYC subway and spit me out an answer immediately. There’s a million uses for AI, and Apple doesn’t seem to be using it for any of them yet.
Lol, apples and oranges. Try building a "Manhattan Loop" with MTA union employees on the payroll and see how much that costs.

Look at gold and silver royalty companies. FNV WPM SAND MTA etc. NEM pays a decent dividend.
MTA - Metalla. Gold and silver royalties. Strong buy. Find out why.
Silver and gold royalty companies give you exposure to silver while getting some returns. WPM probably leader in that. FNV, MTA, SAND. GNT mutual fund. SIL and SILJ for silver miners, riskier imho. PSLV and CEF are other vehicles.
Keep them as financial insurance for a crisis. Depending on what year etc. they may have numismatic value. Pre 1933 are very collectible. You can use them as gifts or make a nice pendant with one. Investing in gold/silver royalty companies like FNV, WPM, SAND, MTA, etc gives you exposure to precious metals while getting some dividends. I like GNT also.
Look at the gold royalty companies as a way to have some gold exposure with dividends in the meantime. FNV, SAND, WPM, MTA, etc.
The cost to borrow is less. Let me put it this way, if you make $100k a year can you afford a $500K home? You can't know without knowing the rate of interest. If interest rates are 20% you almost certainly can't, if they are 2%, you almost certainly can. Here is a good way to think about it. https://cdn.nar.realtor/sites/default/files/documents/hai-09-2023-housing-affordability-index-2023-11-09.pdf?_gl=1*ye9n0q*_gcl_au*NjAyNzE5MTA1LjE2OTk2MzQ0ODU.
That's $320k with minimal development...for a single night. The $100k at half capacity, is per night. Parking fees for 2022 were 12 million. All I'm saying is you can't overbuild the area and ignore parking or condense it down without enough of a viable alternative to make it work. The MTA isn't reliable enough to be the only answer for 40000 people.
Yes, now get 40000 people to the game using those without parking. Better hope there's nothing on the tracks or that the MTA doesn't have a "sick passenger".
Hey guys. I thought I would share some thoughts on a company called Optibiotix, OPTI on the London exchange. Coca Cola is reportedly working on a deal with this relatively unknown company OptiBiotix Health plc (AIM: OPTI), is a life sciences business developing compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes and skincare. The Company has been working with a wide range of industry partners since 2020 and has Material Transfer Agreements ("MTA"), and/or Non-Disclosure Agreements ("NDA"), and/or Open innovation arrangements with well-known consumer brands like Kellogg's, Nestle, Coca Cola, Cargill and more specialised sweetener and fibre groups like Tereos, Givaudan, Sudzucker, Puratos and Firmench. These agreements allow us to share information and products whilst protecting our intellectual property and partners to receive information and different SweetBiotix® products to test within their product ranges. This allows them to assess texture, taste, stability, and how they would incorporate Sweetbiotix® into their product manufacturing processes. With the retail landscape remaining unpredictable, OptiBiotix has just reported an uptick in sales due to dynamic account management. Notably, Apollo, the Indian retail chain, saw September 2023 sales catapult by a staggering 624% YoY, albeit from a low progressive start base. These stores also witnessed an 87% customer retention rate and a 27% influx of new patrons for the GoFigure product line. Paralleling these positive trajectories, the Nahdi Medical pharmacies in Saudi Arabia reported a 219% surge in sales since their March 2023 launch. With the enhanced brand visibility resulting from a fortified Amazon presence and invigorated marketing, sales are poised for an uptrend, both in-store and online. Sorry that was long, but I found it interesting and hope some of you do too. Cheers, Carl.
GDX is a good buy around here. I like the gold royalty plays, FNV, WPM, SAND,MTA, etc. all making bottoms now.
It hasn't been that way since 2018. You can thank 421-a(16), Cuomo, inflation, covid, migrants, and the MTA union lol. 10 years tops before it crumbles. It'll never see the development of anti-flood infrastructure.
Wealthfront has been great for me for a few years. FDIC up to $5mil. Get 5.3% for the first three months with my referral code, then it goes back to a still respectable 4.8% https://www.wealthfront.com/invited/AFFB-MTA5-0D6E-DV9H
NYC is trying to eliminate cars and forcing people to pay the MTA's Million dollar executive bonuses.
Depends on what you are buying. For example I like to buy NY MTA bonds because the MTA is [legally not allowed](https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2020-06-29/mta-can-t-go-bankrupt-so-how-does-it-survive-debt-and-bailouts?sref=2ImPLOle) to declare bankruptcy.
the last infrastructure bill under obama prioritized "shovel-ready" projects. roads usually have their maintenance schedules in advance so they're easier to put money towards. which is why 295 in south jersey gets repaved every 24 months, while other places dont get shit. things like the turnpike, parkway, thruway, are all their own agencies with their own schedules, so it takes longer and more planning. obviously njt, metro north, LIRR, MTA all have their own capital improvement schedules, and those are harder to speed up.
#MTA RAISING FARE FOR THE POURS imagine not working from home farting all day as a softwear engineer making 250k 🤣🤣🤣 Dumd ass finance bros making 80k and big 4 fooks maimg 75k and engineering making 90k lmao What’s pours Chet is that lmao 🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just seen the new train for the MTA, its iight 💁♂️
Statistics can tell whatever story you want it to. 1930’s that’s almost as old as the MTA
#3 MTA METRO CARDS FOR THE MONTH COST ALMOST 380$ A MONTH FOR A FAMILY OF 3 LMAO 🤣 #MEN YA FOOKED , I told ya just have no kids and travel for sex with all escorts and beautiful people in Colombia and Spain and TIELAND
I'm up 124.34% this year, which is pretty good considering the market conditions. My biggest position is in META 1,000 META PLATFORMS (MTA), a company that provides software platforms for hedge funds and other financial institutions. I've also done well with my investments in INC CLASS., a provider of online education courses.
The MTA doesn't have 50k a month in free flow.
\>New York City’s mass-transit system is ending its real-time service alerts on Twitter after Elon Musk's company asked the MTA to pay $50,000 a month \>another account with over 1M followers pausing Twitter activity (NPR and CBC are two of the others) \>so many people live in NYC and take the subway, and had a reason to use twitter, not anymore running a company is hard when you can't just make crazy promises and ask for billions in government subsidies 🤡🤡
I make around 210k and have around 200k saved in the bank in cash at 25 and trust me it is never enough. I struggle to find inner happiness and content-fulness and I think continuing to hoard money will do the trick. I’m a SWE at google and all the people you see with big money at a young age are also like that most likely in tech. You don’t need as much as that to live a happy life, my parents raised me in a comfortable manner and my mom didn’t work and my dad worked in the MTA. At this point it just becomes a rat race, and money fills in the empty void of a boring life for a lot of these high income earners, especially in tech, but a the same time, especially in the tech mindset, it’s hard to get out of. Find your happiness man, and if you make enough to be comfortable and be happy, do it. Don’t get sucked in to it.
Think of all those NJ and CT people working from home now and not paying MTA and NYC income taxes.
I grew up in Greenwich, the public bus & MTA are excellent
Fortune cookies should be banned. They lead to false hopes and never give bad fortunes because; if your fortune said, "your baby will be struck dead by a MTA bus," you would not dine there again.
I just bought MTA at a 3% discount! If bears really wanna make some money why not buy some gold royalties? Leverage is fun!
Holding because all my stuff went up except IAUM, MTA, and LAND. I can stay irrational longer than the market can stay solvent because all my stuff has good financials and runs counter to whatever the market makers want to pump. Easiest money of my life. Just have to hold...
MTA 2% discount??? What a steal!
I love the MTA, We are a vendor of theirs and they pay soooo fast.
Depends where you live but I think the MTA fields an underrated bus
NY MTA will have to raise rates and reduce routes. $500 M shortfall. It looks like allowing junkies to live there wasn’t good for business. The “perception” of crime didn’t help the mayor.

Hedge against inflation a little with some precious metals exposure. WPM GNT SAND MTA FNV etc. are good streamer investments. 🍀
Guy, gets on the MTA here, dies Six hours he's riding the subway before anybody notices his corpse doing laps around L.A., people on and off sitting next to him. Nobody notices.
Cash app was offering a boost if you used their debit card for 1$ off every subway ride in NYC. That took the price from 2.75 to a 1.75 and was saving me a decent amount of money. I think everyone started finding out about it and now they owe the MTA a lot of money every week so they took it away. Everyone is gonna delete the app like me because that’s the only thing they used it for. Haha FUCK U BLOCK
Nah. Cuomo interfered with everything he was trying to do so he said, fuck it and quit. Cuomo couldn't handle him getting good press coverage and wanted to take credit because the state controls MTA
fucked even more right now. Been a shitshow since that British dude who used to run MTA resigned because of Cuomo
In New York, some of these pension benefits are crazy for the NYPD, FNDY, sanitation and the MTA. Must be nice to get to retire at 45 with a 100k/yr pension. Maybe that’s part of the reason why I have to pay 40% tax…
>I agree that this is likely the reason why the MTA system has a female voice for announcements. However, I think it's important to note that there are many women who are strong and authoritative, and many men who are submissive. So I don't think this should be used as a hard-and-fast rule when choosing voices for public announcements.
Because psychologically women are perceived as submissive and men as dominant. Which is why the NYC MTA system has a female voice to tell passengers the next train stop location (friendly), and to "stand clear of the closing doors" (authoritative).
Life Pro tip for any New Yorkers here: In cash app you can add an MTA boost to your card and take $1 off subway rides. Instead of 2.75 you pay 1.75. That shit has saved me a lot of money. I get to throw more at FD's now! If they get rid of that boost I'm uninstalling cash app.
