Steam was made to easily release patches and so on, it was made to better the experience for everyone, and it did. But sure I remember how shitty it was, specially when HL:2 launched. I also remember Valve buying off games to go to Steam initially. But Steam made and is still making huge leaps for gaming. Epic did too, don't get me wrong, Epic Launcher, not so much, other than providing a better split for devs and being more dev friendly. But in defense of Epic, the lack of features, is not out of nowhere or lack of investment. They initially hired a big Steam user that would acquire a lot of info about what devs and users hated about Steam, and he said that most devs hated to take care of a new community in Steam, etc. Users also said some features were just bloat, to which I also understand. Funny that hey! I can't even get a home loan against a home with clear title because everything else is in crypto long term. It's crazy when I wasn't in crypto it was HL extension offers and credit cards in the mail... Hell yah! Just as a joke since I do market analysis as a hobby, that graph is incorrect not just by HODL standards, but literally too. Line graphs, as opposed to candlestick type graphs, dumb down way to much valuable information like intra-timeframe volatility. As well, that is some HEAVY extrapolation to assume that Bitcoin's ROI follows a natural log scale, linearly. Datasets that include the 2012 market cycle suggest a logarithmic regression derivative, not an actual natural log curve. Whoever made the graph is just skimping out because he didn't pass high school math. Thirdly, measuring by halvings is a very biased data set to portray a graph from, where are the HL (high-low) local cycle emulations, or is the graph's creator just too lazy to isolate the datasets. Fourthly, the title should be "Bitcoin Logarithmic ROI after 2012, 2016 and 2020 halvings", and not insinuate price. The scale is logarithmic, you donut!!!!

The sad truth of the matter is that some members of this very community and the crypto space in general will be happy to see more regulation. Just look at how many comments in favor of regulation any post about Elon tweeting gets on this sub. These ppl call for regulation bc they want less rug pulls or they want to prevent "market manipulation" bc they are only thinking about their own short term bottom line and dont realize they dangerous long term implications of more regulation in this space. The reality is that the more we allow governments to regulate crypto, the more control they have over it and the easier it is for them to add additional regulations later on. i sent several money transfers from HSBC to Luno, where my bitcoin wallet is- no issues - then I had a huge row with HSBC after they blocked one for £250 on a saturday morning , and then they blocked my internet banking because i ignored a "fraud" call to my old landline, thinking it was a phishing attempt. all hsbc lines were closed for the weekend so I was locked out until Monday. Got £70 compensation eventually but it was like getting blood from a stone. It went via resolver to Ombudsman because of they treated me, but Ombudsman was so backlogged I settled for what I could get. I have now setup my transfers to Luno ( for buying bitcoins etc) as biweekly standing orders and HSBC have not dared mess with them since. and they have not dared block visa debit transfers of up to £10k to HL as I slowly move all my portfolio away from tHSBC. HSBC invest direct also refused a buy order for Argo at 67p from my ISA, on the trading screens you can see the stock, see the price, but only after u hit the DEAL button do you get an error code. When u contact them for an explanation they say no crypto stocks allowed. by the time I'd faffed about getting £5kcash out of the ISA and transferred it to HL , ARB had doubled...
It’s gonna be a sort of a long weekend for me starting tomorrow. Half day at work mining some fiat, then spending the rest of the day and the weekend with my SO for some quality time. Ended up working till about 4am here to make sure i got things sorted to enjoy the day tomorrow. Let's hope the Smart contracts which is getting released in August will turn out good! Althou im a bit worried, it's been hyped to pluton and back and that amount of hype can be very hard to live up too, main reason why Valve never will release HL3.
