I did a screen for non-NASDAQ stocks below $1. To my knowledge these don’t have a minimum bid price & thus are safe from NASDAQ noncompliance/RS: -$PW (RS planned for 6/3, could be interesting dip as it's already up; insider recently purchased preferred stock 🤔) -*$NCL (similar to $CAPS? but no NASDAQ noncompliance risk, a lot smaller but seems like a solid business) -*$LGPS (I hold/like; maybe not explosive but I think it's a solid setup from here, pays a special dividend) -$MITQ (chart looks flat/ready, low share count) -$VNTG (higher-risk, YOLO play?) -$DXF (consolidated after a pop? CTB is insanely high) -*$GBR (interesting; they own property in West Virginia, there's nothing in WV...except coal/mining? Real estate in WV could be the move) -$TMDE (oil banking in Asia, has come down from a recent explosion)

All cruise lines except NCL have hedged their fuel. They will be fine unless the conflict continues for a long time.

I bought NCL puts. Idk how anyone didn’t say anything about them
(NCL) Recent DD post found online. Lots of info about the recent filing shortened to correct a few people... NCL Could be a potential big play soon. Side note, it appears the free float is higher than it should be. About 7M maximum for now. This is pre-diluted. It is part of the outstanding shares and will be part of the float once sold. These are 10 different MMs who will likely work together to push the price up so they don't sell at a loss (prices listed in images). The latest issuance was in September and the company raised almost 12 million which will be reflected on one of the next two ERs. The outstanding share balance is accurate and will not increase as the shares are already issued. It is possible that the MMs have been purposely lowering the price to average down to make bigger returns. That about sums it up. This will not dilute the outstanding shares, but will increase the free float when they are sold which is currently appearing to be inaccurate.
157 days later. I will kindly disagree with you. RCL targets the family fun entertainment with late night options. CCL targets a younger crowd with a more party atmosphere. With that said, because of their demographic targets, CCL tends to offer shorter cruise options and for now smaller ships to cater to this younger crowd and also target mostly US based destinations. RCL is building a global based business with many cruises throughout the world. They have a mix of shorter and medium term cruises to cater to a wider audience. Their state rooms and ship sizes offer a massive range of clientele. Also note that RCL is also offering in the next several years exclusive destination/Resorts such as private resorts and new stops only accessible by RCL and brand family cruises. It will be years before CCL or NCL catch up. With that said, CCL does handle the higher volume of people, but in my opinion RCL offers better quality. MSC and NCL are also upping their game but tend to have smaller ships and more diverse port access. In comparing to other industries I’d liken RCL to Apple whereas CCL is Samsung. RCL is like Coke and CCL is Pepsi. RCL is DAL and CCL is like AAL. While each line has its loyal cruisers I think far and away RCL is better than CCL. This is evidenced today in their respective stock prices, so investors have the same sentiment. New large ships from RCL through at least 2036 plus new private destinations for RCL are the difference for me.
NCL is a quarter of the size of CCL. I don't foresee them being able to build $30B worth of boats within the next 4 years.
This one is easy. I'll just reply here so others can see it. Some cruise lines offer a $100 onboard credit if you own 100 shares of their stock. So I bought NCL and Carnival. Just have to submit info before your cruise to prove it. Those stocks were around $16 when I bought them earlier this year. Now they are in the $25-$30 range.
I bought NCL and got a bump after hours, went to sell, and the bid price dropped right when I sold and was only able to fill 1/3 of my shares lmao. It was like a 6-7% gain. I’ll have to wait until next week to flip the rest. Hopefully I’m lucky and we keep pushing towards 20c. The company needs to return to $1 soon or face de listing

I’m new to this. Had this debate with myself recently with NCL stock. Had a minimum target price in my head. I didn’t sell when it reached that point because I wanted to”just a little more”. Figured it might climb another dollar or two. Nope, it pulled back so I regretted my decision. I watched it like a hawk a few days later. Sold when it crested my target and didn’t look back. I was happy with what I got out of it over the last few months ($7200).
I’ve fairly new. Have been hesitant to do much with Comstock (LODE). Today I bumped my 49.5 shares up to 570. I’m feeling good about the their second quarter earnings report on Aug 14th. My NCL stock had a nice bump yesterday. Fell back a little today.
This was my original reason to buy NCL. So far it's my favorite cruise line and it's made me a decent amount of money.
NCL was at $23.19 July 30th. It went up to $26.56 by 10AM on the 31st. At that point it exceeded my first goal to sell but I figured it was early so I'd hold expecting it to continue to climb throughout the day. I was thinking closer to $28. Nope... It dropped into the low $25 range later in the day then bottomed out at $24.30 today. It's slightly climbed now. This is the first stock that I have a lot invested in. Learning curve here. I'm looking for a short term gain which I'm doing pretty good with. I'm up 45% since I purchased most of it earlier this year (100 last Oct). A nice gain but I'm trying to eek at a little bit more. And I figure it will spike again if I sell.
Just as a warning, luxury goods and services including cruise lines get hit hard in recessions. Once people cut back on spending, nonessentials like vacations, RVs, boats and cruise trips are the first to go. Look at the chart for NCL from 2006-2009 and you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying we're certain to have a recession any time soon, but if we do, you won't want to be holding NCL or any stocks like it.
For NCL, if you own 100 shares or more, yes. I bought 125 this spring in preparation for a family cruise this summer.

I bought 100 shares of NCL and Carnival to get the $100 OBC and maybe make some money. Started that with NCL. Got my OBC and it went close to $30. Then it dropped back with the tariffs and Trump talking about taxing cruise lines. I bought another 700 shares with anticipation of it gaining what it lost. Carnival has been doing good. I found I couldn’t get the $100 OBC with the because of the casino cruise discount

not really in thing in the us. some companies have minor things, but nothing to write home about. norweigian gives some on boat credit BUT only for normal NCL cruises and not any of the chartered stuff like the jericho cruise. i think it was 3m that had some kind of gift box but you had to go in person to their annual shareholder event to get it.

The first thing most investors have to learn is to be a contrarian. I always look for reasons why a stock would not be a good play. NCL had a huge red flag a lot of people either didn’t see, overlooked or didn’t understand why it would be a red flag. (i.e. replacing their existing registered independent auditor who has an international presence and reputation, with one who primarily does work only in Nigeria) <— 🚩🚩🚩
I see that NCL has about only 10,000 shares for sell on the level 2 atm. If a larger buyer came in and purchased the majority, would that jack up the price?

Trying to understand the whole NCL thing. There was literally no volume in the morning. 1.1m red volume at 9:31 am, then stock plummets. By 9:53 am it was 0.26. The rest of the volume came after. What am I missing? This dropped on in a matter of 20 minutes on basically no volume?? $NCL could be a lotto play for tomorrow after a drop which was based on 0 news. Could gap back up to .60 - .80. I went in a bit heavy AH on Friday with 55k shares at average of .35. 0 borrows. Shorts went big on this. Will need to manage my risk carefully. Cautiously optimistic but a pure gamble. I flattened USAS when I bought in, BURU dipped on entry and is turning down in after hours, NCL hopped around everywhere and is currently a penny higher than I bought in, and SILO came back up to my break even and immediately dropped. Pretty standard day.
