I'm sorry, you're upset with ME for... simply stating a FACT? You can become a millionaire far earlier, but it's not common. I recently passed 8 figures, barely missing doing so in my 30s. It required a scholarship to pay for College, a high paying field, I went to NU Law School, and a whole lot of sacrifice. It you want a "Lambo," it's unlikely to happen. A little luck helps as well... as NVDA in 2018 did it, but this was after living at home until I was 29, driving a beater, and investing about 85% of my take home pay. So... keep whinning about SIMPLE, basic stats, or... fucking do something about it... I said rare. Please define that word for me.

P/E is not the best ratio for evaluating banks. I'd look at P/B, ROE, net interest margin(how much profit do they make on their core business), and credit quality. Then P/E if the other ratios made sense. A bank is a balance sheet business. The primary value of a bank is how efficiently it can borrow money from depositors and lenders, then turn that into profitable loans. Here's a few rules of thumb: ROE: 10% - 15% is good. Above 15% is excellent P/B: 1x is average. Less than that can be undervalued or just a weak bank. Above 1 usually mean stronger, but it could also mean you're paying a lot. Net interest margin: this is the profit margin you're making on the bank's money. For a big emerging market bank like NU, it should be at least 5%. 10-15% is strong. Above 15% nad you might be running too hot. For comparison purposes, a big U.S. bank would probably have a 2-3% net interest margin. Credit quality: If the percentage of credit losses/non-performing loans are steady or going down from quarter to quarter, that's good. For a big bank American bank, it should be no more than 4%, meaning $4 out of every $100 in loans is in real trouble. 1-2% is normal, and less than 1% is great. For a fast growing emerging market bank, more than 10% is probably dangerous. 3-6% might be normal. Less than that is really strong. P/E: under 10x is cheap. 10-15x is average. 15x is expensive. Since one of the most attractive things about NU is the growth, I'd look at PEG. Under 1: you're buying earnings cheaply. That's a good thing. 2-3: average 3+: expensive You could get more granular and look at trailing P/E versus forward P/E. You could look at Tier 1 capital and loan loss reserves. Interest rates of course(generally, the higher the better for a bank). All of these are rules of thumb. You have to know the context behind all the numbers. That's why you gotta read the filings. That's how you learn why something is happening. My simple analysis based on cursory research is that this is a good business given the tremendous growth. I would really watch the credit quality though because rapid expansion usually leads to worse quality.

Mentions:#ROE#NU#PEG

If the administration announces investing in either $CTM or $BBAI, I’m loading the boat with them; I’m not missing another $INTC $IBM opportunity. As they’re penny stocks they could go a lot farther too. Until that, I’m not touching $CTM with a 10’ pole. I’ve sold some $2 $BBAI puts if anyone wants to drop the price that far 🤙 Also check out $NU, one I think is expensive right now, but the company is solid. I sold some $5 puts on that in case it wants to go back to being a penny stock.

I am calling it the Software Psych. There's a lot of interesting behavior in the numbers this week. Notably, CSU was up Friday. Major outlier. Roper? Ignored. A lot of payments seem to have hit a shelf (NU, SE, MELI, TOST), but I won't touch them because consumers are fucked. CHYM and SOFI are interesting here. Some Cybersec dogs have been ignored, but I think will see major recovery this next year or two, especially ZS, which just had that horrible earnings, but should recover. Checkpoint is a buy for me, and Rapid7 is risky but I know them well enough to think they will recover. There will some consolidation in this sector in the coming years, so be wary.

Mentions:#NU

Fellow Spaniard, I also got into NU, I think Revolut won’t be able to breach that stronghold in LATAM easily (although they’re entering Brazil/Colombia/Mexico as well). However, the AI is comparing trailing P/E from Revolut (2025) with forward P/E from NU (2026). So not really apples to apples. Moreover, European/USA users are deemed more valuable than LATAM ones. So with this you’re betting on LATAM getting stronger and NU getting stronger. I believe NU should be reclaiming at least those $18 this year, otherwise I’ll increment my position :)

Bro, 45% revenue growth is no joke, but 2000? That's a 20x from here, gonna need a lot more than that to justify. I looked into this space a little recently and thought both NU and ITUB to be interesting, the big problem I have is the FX risk, while I believe both companies will be successful and have good business results, on an investment basis those results could (and very likely will) be diluted or even destroyed by exchange rates from the Brazilian real to USD. As a US based investor it makes it a difficult space to feel good about, probably a good play for any Brazil domestic investors but for me it’s gonna be a pass.

Been watching Brazilian fintech space for while now and your picks make sense. NU especially has that network effect thing going - once people get hooked in their ecosystem it's hard to leave. The growth numbers they're putting up in Mexico and Colombia are pretty wild too. STNE is interesting play but man, their past credit mess really burned a lot of people. Management seems different now but that's always the question mark with turnaround stories. At 4 PE though, if they can just execute decently you're probably looking at good returns. The payment processing market there is still pretty fragmented so room for consolidation. PAGS at under 7 PE is basically screaming value if you believe in Brazilian economy not completely imploding. Their buyback program shows they think stock is cheap too. I'm bit worried about the competition heating up but at these prices maybe that's already priced in like you said. Might throw some money at this one myself actually.

They're on WS. NU and PAGS are listed on the NYSE. STNE is on the NASDAQ.

Solid NU earnings yesterday. Big 33% surge in q/q credit loss allowance, apparently driven by seasonality, portfolio growth, and product mix shift towards higher-risk segments. Management said it was expected and used the 90+ day NPL ratio declining 10bps. Meanwhile ARPAC was up 23% y/y and grew sequentially q/q despite Q1 usually being soft. LDR jumped from 48.5% to 58.3% y/y as NU moves aggressively into credit. 17.6% efficiency ratio is nuts. Mexico hit break-even as they crossed the 15MM customer mark, and NU is now the 3rd largest FI in the country. There's a massive TAM there. Colombia is a few years behind Mexico on the same curve and just crossed 5MM customers. Their US expansion has begun but they are being extremely deliberate and careful. They say there will be no scaling beyond the initial phase until they find product-market fit and a credible path to profitability. It seems too obvious that they'll target the underserved Hispanic population first, which is something like 60-70MM people. If you're investing in NU for the US expansion, you'll probably be disappointed. I don't think it will have a meaningful impact to the top or bottom line until at least 2029. Currently down 3.8% PM. I'll probably be adding to my position today.
