That is why I said mini squeeze, percent was low but total number of shares short was high. Does not matter now, I put the old kiss of death on NU, post and market takes it straight down.
The short interest is only 4% of the float. I don't see a short squeeze here, but NU is an amazing company. It's the largest digital bank in South America. The business is growing fast and have decades of growth ahead of them. I really like NU, specially after their last reported earnings. I have a good size position in there and will be adding to it on every dip.
You are correct. All the hedging have already been done. If you are pessimistic about the AI build-out there´s barely anywhere to go for good returns. I like latam (meli, NU, INTR and more) and software (uber, adobe, applovin, reddit, meta and more) at the moment. Diversified asset managers with physical assets like brookfield corp, fairfax and berkshire could be good picks here. Defence like dassault aviation, leonardo, rheinmetall and more are traded at good valuations too (given the growth estimates).

Thanks for following up, taking my post seriously, & being kind! It's nice to get the perspective of someone who's used their services first-hand. What service do you use now if you have to transfer money? I've got a few fintechs on my radar ($NU, $KSPI, $XP, $DLO), but they're all so regional. Don't you think that $WU has that overarching, global presence that has value to someone even if just in terms of a buyout? From the ER conference call, I think they're definitely moving/planning to move in the right direction with all of this; they just haven't been aggressive right out the gate. They mentioned digital currency/transfers & cost-cutting, among other things. They've recently announced several partnerships as well. It's wild that a profitable company is trading at such a low valuation IMO; I saw the same in $NOMD & it's been in a reversal for a while now; you could argue that $NOMD is similar in that they aren't the most competitive against their peers & yet they still have a business that's running, paying a dividend, etc.
