I dont know much... I know what i see. Broads are still ordering off of shein. Then running to family dollar. Then getting Halloween decorations from home depot. The poor are still buying goods. The economy is not collapsing. The poor are buying regardless of de minimus. Still eating at Texas roadhouse. Still tipping well. The pill mills still filling orders. The low level economy is thriving. Buy any weakness in transport. Buy pharma. Buy Amazon. Women still apple buy everything. Tits make money. Buy weakness. Women sell to yours. People are still working to the bone. Spending haphazard. Transactions are happening digitally. Games are being watched on platforms. Commercials are seen. Scrolls are scrolled. Ads are powerful. People are insured against whatever they say we need to buy insurance for. Large threat small threat. Missiles are being built. Missiles are being sold. War is sold and bought. Dick pills are thriving. People want skinny. Lilly is thriving. Ford is thriving. Ford is opening new campuses. For people to draw lines. To insource foodservice from aramark. To get orders from sysco. To get service calls from OTIS because the elevator never works. Everyone is dirty from working hard so we need linens from cintas. Soap. Comes from p&g. Manufactured off a line that need lubricant from a fucking delivery driver who needs gasoline. And he likes to go to clubs just like me. And that whore we like to look at only wears makeup from ulta. That bitch turned 3 tricks Ina night. She has to feed her kids when she gets off. So she goes to mcdonalds constantly. Walmart has bottles of water. Kids are thirsty. Maybe she lives closer to a bjs. Maybe she gives them. Got 19 kids. So she shops at tj Maxx. But they only sell the cool overstock crox at Burlington. So the kids can show em off on Insta. While google harvests all their info. But they so cool on their apple phones that they see daddy gambling on the sports they watch on Hulu by Disney he cant stay off his fucking draftkings. And sportsradar is feeding information everyone is harvesting information. It needs to be processed nvidia is the only thing smart. But so many people need information at the same time so amd can prosper and broadcom has networks and they share information over copper network lines that att owns or sells the plans to cheap lines of some other fucking subsidary. Your tired of reading this shit that you forgot you need to take your garbage out or waste management won't take it if it's one foot from it's supposed to be and they spill garbage on your neighbors lawn so the smith and Wesson comes out. Calmer heads prevail so you burn their fucking house down all slick like. But they got allstate. So they rebuild their house. And all the materials come from from builders first source. But the joke is on you because you have allstate too and they recoup off everyone. So now your insurance is up too so high you need a smoke. And only altria makes your brand. But smokes are so high you start hitting vapes. And China makes the batteries and those vapes come in through the Mexican border off a ship from Zim. You need a drink from your headaches so.you wash down an aspirin from bayer then you think the fuckin Germans had it right and now they are cleansing your culture now lol. Holocaust all over again. It's a question of whether or not there's a "duty of confidence." This doesn't exist for the most part for private co's -- this is why a lot of l/s equity hedge funds do crossover / have a private strategy, it informs their diligence on their public investments as well. That was the pitch for a fund I'm invested in -- for example, they own Menlo Security and it also informs their views on ZS, PANW, etc. I also did this as part of my diligence process in my past life as an investment analyst -- speak to a private co to better understand a business I was working on and the industry. If I were doing work on OTIS, I'd talk to a regional elevator repair co, and these convos would get cleared by compliance. So either it's fine or I'm going to go to prison haha. Of course, depends on the nuance of OP's fund's policy in particular.

RTX holder since early 2010s. Stock broken due to engine issues, but should recover as both air travel and defense spending seem to be back. I made my returns from Carrier / OTIS spinoff I doubt it is 1938/39 - nukes make the situation different. But then drones will make it different also - see, Turkey, Iran making names with drones, although US/Israel have been doing this much longer with significant larger budgets. I am looking at space / communications / maybe related AI stocks, with the risk of someone blowing that up and creating vast space debris

This analysis is based on the current option open interest. With that option open interest, it calculates portfolio-level greeks--notably Delta and Gamma. More importantly, once the portfolio level greeks are established, I can now simulate the change in greeks at different price points. From there, I can find the price levels where portfolio-level gamma is the highest, and the portfolio-level delta is close to 0. For some tickers, the underlying price reacts strongly off of delta neutral, gamma max, and sometimes both. It's the reaction off of these price levels in the past that is being used to drive trading signals. The plays and target entry prices given are calculated using a binomial option pricing model that reflect the expected size and duration of the reaction from gamma max or delta neutral. A lot of these plays are profitable by underlying moves in stock. The best plays benefit from the directional move as well as the increase in IV. # Notes - Something to give you a new wrinkle * If the price has moved past the entry price, exercise caution. Something changed between the time these plays were generated and market open. * Look to sell half your position on a double, and freeroll the rest to exit at your discretion. * I tend to risk up to 1% of my total capital on any trades I take. If my conviction is lower, I'll only allocate 0.5% or even 0.25% of my capital to the trade, and dollar cost average in. * The trades were calculated before market open, and so are based on information up to yesterday. Keep that in mind when deciding to enter well after the fact. New price movement may invalidate the original thesis. # FAQ - Because others have already asked. * These plays are mostly puts. Are you a gay bear? * No. It so happens that the companies have had some recent run-up which implies they are overextended. These trades are primarily some form of mean-reversion either toward or away from an important price level. * Are you entering all these plays? * No. There have been a dearth of plays in the WSB morning talks, and so I opened up my bag of tools slightly wider to point out more plays with a probable edge to help lead apes to more gain porn. Go through this curated list of plays, pick the ones you like based on whatever additional analysis you use, and get that gain porn. * You mentioned a new play on the same ticker in the past. What does that mean? * The new play should replace the old play. The old play is likely now invalid and if you haven't entered in, don't chase the price. Remember that a new day's worth of data has been produced and the newer play reflects that data, the older play does not. * Where are the crayons? I only see words. * Click the links above. * Have you back-tested this? * Yes. Results show a moderate Sharpe Ratio (1.7), with an expected win rate of 63% of trades (7% margin of error) * What is the historical performance? * The realized Sharpe Ratio is 1.88 with a 66% win rate. Based on the trade performance so far, there is a 95% chance the expected win rate will be between 60% and 78%. (Stats as of 2023-01-31)

Have been looking at OTIS or Otis Elevator, it became a stand alone company in 2020 when United Technologies sold off Otis and Carrier. It has grown slowly ever since and compared to their closest competitors, the price only has room to grow and the need for an elevator will never go away.

Delta Neutral is the price where a hypothetical portfolio of all option open interest for the ticker produces the least delta. Simply touching those calculated price levels isn't enough to make a trading decision. You need to consider what the ticker's price did the previous times it touched those levels. You should also take into context the broader market movement. The plays and target entry prices given are calculated using a binomial option pricing model that reflect the expected size and duration of the reaction from gamma max or delta neutral. A lot of these plays are profitable by underlying moves in stock. The best plays benefit from the directional move as well as the increase in IV.

How many spacs can you name that are at $10 or above? I've got two in mind that aren't PSNY. MP and LFG. If hovering around the valuation they think it's worth is struggling I'd like to struggle with all my spac picks. My only point is it's outperformed >95% of the (mostly) crap SPACs so far. And being that it actually makes sales and is backed by the inventors of the seatbelt it seems less speculative than most of the EVs too. Not currently invested, played first ggpi run months ago, but I do find the vehicles to be nice. They're pretty infant as a company, so I'm impressed with how quick they've made a place in the industry. Also, online comment volume means jack. Plenty of companies in the world that make a huge impact that very few know about. Boring shit like $OTIS elevators.

This sort of reckless chest-pounding bravado is passé, didn’t you hear? Escalating this (for now) hyper-regional conflict into something much, much bigger, far beyond Ukrainian borders, while we’re war fatigued, while we’re emerging from a pandemic, while China continues to Sabre rattle, while our deficits are through the roof… It would be historically idiotic. It’s not going to happen (thankfully) and for now the duel pressures of sanctions/global pariah-ism & arming the Ukrainians is least bad option. — Since this is a /r/stocks, I’m still long defense, although RTX best in breed IMO as they have lots of private sector biz in addition to gov’t contracts and the spin-offs we’re smart (I actually like OTIS long, too).

I added OTIS and DHR as counterweights to all that tech, Otis for industrial/cyclical exposure and Danaher for healthcare. And I like both companies. Otis makes and services elevators and escalators which seems like a wonderfully boring and sustainable business model. They recently spun off of Raytheon, so idk what's going on with their financial statements, but I love the idea. (Carrier is in a similar situation.) Danaher is primarily healthcare but they're also big into water filtration (long view). Their goal is to attract lots of innovators, basically saying if you want to work a routine 9 to 5, then gtfo. They're also one of the few healthcare companies that doesn't exploit animals according to crueltyfreeinvesting.org. I understand there are necessary evils in life, but I can't get on board with profiting off animal testing as a direct shareholder. I've only held them for 2-2 1/2 months and am already up 4% and 8% respectively. They usually perform as good or better than the indexes on days like today when nearly everything else I hold gets crushed.

VGY, VUG, OGIG, and SMH probably aren’t necessary if you already have 75% of your portfolio in VTI/VXUS or something similar. You already have significant exposure to the holdings in the growth ETFs at a lower expense ratio. Consensus is that overweighting growth as a general category over long periods of time isn’t a winning strategy despite recent outperformance. Most equities on your list look like solid picks. Don’t know all of them. Why OTIS? Curious about this company. Also curious why you’re holding DHR? Never heard of them but their financials look pretty good at first glance.

I think I'm going to buy $65 puts on OTIS for 4/16 because some post on WSB said OTIS was going to tank next week.... It's only $15/contract.

They've just recently as of last year, gone public through a reverse takeover. The bread and butter will now come from the sale of their ultra-high-resolution, real-time advanced imaging tools. Mainly, their FDA-cleared point-of-care imaging OTIS platform to hospitals and other related urgent-care centres. The reason for what may seem like very little financial data available is that they have performed a reverse-takeover of a Canadian company and I think there has been some incorrect reporting of accurate details pertaining to Perimiter Medical and the possibility of incorrect figures reported that are irrelevant to Perimeter Med and carried over from New World Resource Corp., the previous company's financials. I'm in constant contact with Perimeter Medical Imaging's investor relations specialist and she welcomes any questions to be directed to her.
