Why do I not see everyone talking about $SLV $GLD and $PPLT. These mofos are going parabolic. Like the calls are quite literally free money up like 2000% in a month. Fuck everything else. Gold silver and platinum are quite literally the top three assets in the world in price momentum. Silver isn’t even inflation adjusted highs yet. LOCK IN
[PALL & PPLT positions](https://imgur.com/a/brDUXgK) Bought them at 10:2x this morning, already made $130 / 1.0%. I'll scale in more as other positions come off.
Yeah, that's my thought too about precious metals. I'm scaling into platinum and palladium today, via deep ITM Calls on PPLT and PALL. PPLT has LEAPS options, but PALL only goes out 6 months, so I bought there.
Calls on GLD, SLV, PPLT, or PALL are all free money right now.
PPLT been treating me VERY nicely
PALL, PPLT, GLD, COPX and SLV calls, these puppies have made me good money recently..
SLV PPLT Can't believe so many sleeping on metals
Precious metal options. You can make it all back very quickly. Look for Jan/Feb options on SLV, PALL, PPLT, or GLD... or something similar. You'll be ahead withing the day if not week and you can just put stops in so you don't lose.
In order of how sure a bet they are IMO: Lulu. Buy a leap or shares on Friday. Extremely, very good buy right now. Huge value play that's seeing its turn around now. SLV or PPLT leaps, also on Friday Meta is also a solid buy right now NMR, japanese banks are undervalued. MFG (mizuho) as well but less undervalued than NMR us. Buy before Friday. RDDT is speculative, not value, but will probably do extremely well in the next decade. RKLB even more speculative, but should do pretty well up until space X IPO hype at the very least.
Platinum is a better buy now. It tends to lag gold and silver. PPLT up bigly, more bigly than SLV
I started with GLD early 2025, switched to SLV in July and dumped it recently. Started adding PPLT and PALL last month. I'll hold those for long, but will add GLD and SLV again once I see a correction

All you had to do was buy physical and you'd still be up nearly 50%....Gold is for holding, try trading on something more volatile like silver (SLV) or platinum (PPLT) or uranium (URA)
Yeah, I’m out of all the precious metals right now mostly because of the volatility they see. I owned XME, PPLT, PALL, URA. They all went from like 15% profit to -10% over the last two weeks. I’ve been selling them off with these rallies to dollar cost average the loss because I just want to get out of it now. Sorry about your losses, man. We will get it back. At least you’re talking about it. That’s a good step.
I heard about the export ban on Thursday and was planning to dump my leveraged index longs Friday morning. To my surprise, the market spiked up on Friday and I exited everything except for Apple, PPLT (platinum), and GLD (gold). I kept AAPL because I wrote covered calls on the shares so I took a hit on those shares. PPLT was down a little and GLD was up. We were out sightseeing for the day and I didn't have access to the market intraday. Traditional defensive sectors are Consumer Staples and Utilities. Gold and silver may do well but they've also had huge runs. I read that the rare earth companies did well yesterday which would make sense but I think that it would take considerable time for them to be able to replace China. If you are worried about the US dollar, you could buy foreign currencies (our son does this) or you could open bank accounts in foreign countries. The latter has annual reporting requirements to FinCen and the IRS if you're over a relatively small amount ($10K I think). You could also just go with individual stocks that aren't correlated with AI.
I saw the news on China and the rare earths Thursday night and decided to exit most of my positions in the morning. To my surprise, the markets were up by quite a bit and I sold everything but AAPL, PPLT and GLD. We went out sightseeing and I got back to the hotel. I would have been down six figures if I had held my positions. So I got lucky. Or maybe not. I have a friend that always says: the market owes us nothing. I'll decide on what to do on Monday morning after conferring with a few other friends who got stopped out on Friday and several daytraders. One of the guys that called the top on Friday morning shorted SOXL and a few other triple-leveraged longs and made out like a bandit.
GLD PPLT SLV > Puts
Got into PPLT. Felt an urge to buy a put so got that instead.
Damn it. Now I realy want PPLT because I'm a greedy fuck.
$PPLT destroying both gold and silver this year btw
PPLT or PLTM, platinum etfs. Platinum futures price has outpaced gold and silver this year driven by its undervaluated price compared to its peer(gold, silver, palladium).
URA SILJ PALL PPLT OIH XOP GDX MOO REMX, I’m mostly invested in smaller mining companies that are undervalued…but these are some broad plays that I think have a lot of upside potential over the medium to long term
Fold them or hold them? That's always the question isn't it. It's just seems too easy holding losers too long and cutting winners too early... I think IWM would be a better play than SPY for the Sept 17th FED decision; I bet on XHB though, since I think the home builders sector could run the most and I like to target sector indexes - also a rate cut should be good for precious metals; so GLD, SLV, PPLT and PALL seem like more focused bets than SPY. I'm down so much in August though, you'd probably be better off inversing me. Seriously, I'm kind of freaking out about how down I am from August; every time I went long, the market pulled back, and every time I went short the market rallied... I also cut NEM 69c sept 19th calls and GOOG 200c Sept 19th calls that together would be up over $100K if I had held them; would have saved my port big time, instead I'm down on the year as a whole after 1 really bad month (9 months of time spent trading wasted T\_T ). Also, there is always the chance a 0.25% cut would be a sell the news event, and that a 0.5% cut would cause the market to panic. Like I said, I feel like all my plays have been wrong recently, so I'm probably not the one to ask.
platinum getting some serious momentum. any other plays besides PPLT?
Reddit. Not WSB, some sub I can't remember said that big banks were apparently gearing up for a Platinum bull market to emerge, and I got in PPLT around the first week of April. It was probably the best entry I will catch for a while.
PPLT puts. Went too high too quickly and Trump tariffs uncertainties.
Found the best puts to buy. PPLT being an industrial metal would be affected by Trump's tariff uncertainties (bearish). Not only that, it recently went up a lot, way too much, which gives us another reason to short it.
PPLT calls is the play

I’ve got calls on Vale, shares and calls in SBSW, IMPUY and I bought some ETF’s PPLT and PLTM. So far PPLT has been the best performer. Up 10% in a week
I bought Platinum (PPLT) 2 months ago because I saw someone mentioned it in here as an alternative to gold and I'm up 50%. On a metal. I'm sure the economy is fine lol.
Thank you for attempting to gate keep me. I'll remind myself that the four machine learning models I trained on ten years of data on PPLT, my lifetime 700+% portfolio record, and my algorithmic trading with QuantConnect remind me what a little boy idiot I am despite my hedge fund sized positions. Have a good day friend!
Platinum (PPLT) it looking very promising
PGM has been in a hardcore breakout territory since mid-May. It might end up being a regime change for PPLT for the next few years.
That's exactly the way I'm thinking about it. The charts I'm looking at show a large but sustained volume increase since mid-May. I bought in to PPLT heavy in June, probably should have averaged in but whatever at this point, and I've been watching its support levels so my stop losses can be configured carefully. By end of April we were -44% from 2010, then -38%, now -24% and closing rapidly. Today, being at a four year high almost looks myopic. The questions are how quickly will it get there, and will it be sustained. If we enter a recession I think we could see some huge draw downs, so I'm thinking of setting limit sells around $150, $175, $200, leave about 30-40% of the position then buy back in if it experiences a major drop. In today's terms, I don't think I've ever seen a better priced asset in the market. If it catches on, it could be life changing.
Nah I meant Platinum. Specifically PPLT. Maybe just contracting a bit before going higher?
thought you might find this interesting: https://investingnews.com/sprott-platinum-market-forecast/ How are you feeling today? ~5% drop at open, but MACD recovery was pretty quick. Looks like smart money bought the dip. What are you thinking for exit levels? $130-200 for PPLT?
Bought 2500 shares of PPLT a month ago at $90, we'll see where this goes https://i.imgur.com/thdjwJL.png
i saw a comment in here about PPLT (platinum) a month ago and I thought "yeah, platinum seems too low relative to gold" so i bought 200 shares and I'm up $3k on it. This chat pays off sometimes.

Your claim was that you saw these positions on 13F filings but I'm saying no new 13Fs have been filed since 12/24, so that leaves us the chart that I posted with top holdings. PPLT isn't even a top 20 holding for JPM. As I showed all the SBSW stakeholders, you said they aren't even listed in the top 20 stakeholders and also don't have 13F filing since 12/24. Soo where are you getting this data from?? It's not from the SEC, that's for sure.
