RKLB now owns Iridium with 900M revenue, so i guess that needs to be added to the table. I personally think RKLB and PL have a solid future. RKLB is a great launch provider, builds and launches satellites and now owns Iridium, which they plan to expand. PL are the biggest player in earth observation. ASTS is the risky play, but if they pull it off, it is easily a 1 Bil + company. The others like RDW, FLY etc. I think they are popular because people that have missed the initial large moves by the lights of RKLB, ASTS and LUNR are buying those now in the hopes they will do the same. Oh yeah, speaking of LUNR, they really need to stop tipping over their lunar landers.

The entire space industry will change of Starship is successful. Launch costs will be reduced by upwards of 90%. The ease of getting materials to orbit and beyond will be drastically increased. Yes, these companies aren't currently profitable. But if Starship is successful and launch costs plummet, suddenly profits skyrocket. We're on the verge of a space age. It's very exciting and this will be a high growth sector. The only question is when. With all of that said, I think this was a case of institutions and smart money taking advantage of retail hopium. You can't buy SpaceX yet, but you can buy RKLB. You can't buy Starlink but you can buy ASTS. You can't buy NASA moon colony, but you can buy RDW, LUNR and others. Remember, the SpaceX IPO started making headlines in December 2025. Look at the unnatural movement in the entire space sector since that time. This was all one buy buy the rumor pump-and-dump. Now things are settling back to where they were before December. With all of that said, Starship launches on Thursday. If it's successful, we're getting very, very close to the point that these space companies will be generating serious profits. If Starship can be as successful as the Falcon 9, watch out.

Stacking cash is still terrible advice. Some companies in the space sector will for sure explode but its a gamble. I did quite well on RDW and love the company. I'll get back in for surw, just not right now.

Drones probably are going to rally hard soon if the NDAA gets passed without too much trimming. 250x increase military spending on autonomous weapons (from 20sh million to 50 billion). KTOS, AVAV, UMAC, RDW, RCAT are my picks. I’m simping particularly hard for AVAV though. They’re wayyyy oversold with the best PE ratio and they go beyond UAVs into other robotics, interceptors, drone defense and aerospace. If they get a lot of work from their scar contract back, they’ll moon ontop of the increased spending.

I’ve been watching RCAT, RDW, KTOS, and AVAV. AVAV was the best for market tape, but I forgot to buy stake. I think their company is dogshit though. RCAT has the best business imo because they’re focusing on DJI type replacement drones, but they’re struggling to find profitable footing, and RDW/KTOS is the moonshot KTOS has a lot of legal issues though. None of these companies look that great under the surface, but no government contractor really does. NFA for sure, but I’m holding RDW and RCAT, watching KTOS, and was planning on being in AVAV but. Now I think they’re “overvalued”, once they hit some profit taking point I’ll add a symbolic position and watch them.
You're very young so you should be investing for long term so now is the time to take some long term risks. I see a lot of conservative feedback which is the opposite of what I recommend. If you make mistakes, you have a lot of time to make up for losses. Start looking at Space stocks where the future is going to be. It's for long term growth and not immediate: RKLB, STM, NVT, FLY, RDW, LUNR, PL, ASTS, BSKY, HAWK, VOGY, and of course SPCX. But research them, see what you like and understand and would enjoy following what they're up to and their results.

Want to be terrified? Look at all where all these smaller space companies (RKLB, ASTS, LUNR, RDW, PL, BKSY, etc) were before December 2025, when word got out of SPCX going public. There's still a long way down from here if this was all SPCX hype!

I think the proxy trade was real but it was probably layered on top of already volatile names. The problem is that RKLB, ASTS, LUNR, RDW etc are completely different businesses but for a few weeks the market treated them like one big ‘space button’
Yeah I think that’s mostly fair tbh. There was definitely a legit 'buy the smaller public space names before SpaceX sucks all the oxygen out of the room' trade there. But I do have a lot of conviction in these space stocks especially FLY, RDW, VOYG and few more I just don’t think that cancels out the FOMO part. A lot of these names were running hard *before* the IPO even hit, and once SpaceX was actually public a bunch of the smaller names got dumped almost immediately. To me that’s basically the definition of a hype/speculation layer getting piled on top of a real sector trade.
I can buy that there was a legit “own the public space infrastructure names before SpaceX sucks up all the attention” trade going on. But I personally had a lot of conviction in all these companies long before SpaceX announced IPO. And RDW is exactly why I don’t want to dismiss the whole move as just hype. It’s one of the few smaller names in the group where I actually feel like there’s a real business underneath it, not just one flashy mission or headline. So even if some of the run-up was SpaceX spillover, RDW is still one I’d be happy to keep conviction in on its own merits.
It wasnt FOMO at all or cope for not buying spacex. A few analysts / traders i pay attention to werw going that route and suggested that route because we all knew spacex on ipo release was a stupid play unless you have quick fingers to get in and out. A rising tide lifts all shifts. Ill be getting back into RDW. I did well flipping it but I like the company and ita future. There is more space pump left. They are a dilution risk but also a potential target for spacex to buy...in which case moon time
By Space company, is RDW referring to the space at the earth’s core?
I’ve been looking at the space basket a lot since few month (before SpaceX filed for IPO) and I still can’t tell if this is a great long-term setup or if I’m just getting sucked into a sector that’s going to stay volatile for way longer than I want. The names I keep coming back to are Firefly, Voyager, Redwire and Intuitive Machines. I can make a bull case for all of them, but I’m not sure which ones are actual 3–5 year holds and which ones are just really good at giving you hope every time a contract or mission headline drops. Firefly FLY is probably the one I keep liking the most because it doesn’t feel like a pure concept story anymore. There’s real launch/lunar/defense exposure there. At the same time, it still feels like the kind of stock that can get wrecked 20% in a week just because the market decides it hates risk again. Voyager VOYG is interesting because the Starlab/defense infrastructure angle is obviously big if it works, but I also can’t tell how much of that upside the market has already priced in. It feels like one of those names where the story can get way ahead of the actual financials. Redwire RDW might honestly be the one I trust the most conceptually because it’s less about one flashy moon moment and more about quietly being part of the space buildout. It feels more like a picks-and-shovels name than a headline-chaser, which I kind of like in this sector. Intuitive Machines LUNR is the one that messes with my brain the most because I can see the upside case pretty clearly, but I can also see how this thing becomes a painful hold if execution slips. It has the most upside and risk energy out of the group for me. That’s kind of where I’m at with the whole space trade right now. I still like the theme a lot, but a lot of these names trade more on story and sentiment than on clean fundamentals. I would like to know which space names people here actually trust the most from here and what are your views on these space stocks.
its crazy how quickly the space sector died RDW was 28 a month ago now its struggling to hold 12 down 50 percent in just a week and a half SPCX goes up and the sector dumps to rotate SPCX goes down and the sector dumps in sympathy its the same shit as semis where buying anything else is a lose lose situation

I do think space stocks like RKLB, ASTS, LUNR, RDW, etc all took big jumps based on space hype from the SpaceX IPO. Probably some manufactured pump-and-dump taking advantage of retail hopium. Now it's sell-the-news combined with people space fans taking profits and actually buying SpaceX. The irony, is that SpaceX raising so much money and Starship V3 relative success on its first flight, probably just reinforces the thesis that the space industry is about to go bananas. I think this is a buy the dip scenario for a lot of these companies.
I'm in shares, so I'm not too worried about it. I can baghold for a while if I need, but I also shorted RDW at the same time and am overall up pretty good.
