Your in the Bay Area. So it has lot more chargers than where I live. However, I could go 99.99% of my trips with a 100 mile range anyway, do the SC network is of no use to me anyway. I can plug in every night.
I don't know about starting a 'new' small business, me and my fam already own a few self-storage facilities in SC, GA. So, if I pursue anything it would probably be more of the same. They were trying to convince PMC to lend to more manufactured housing bc they said there would be an explosion of people moving to the central part of the company where land and cost of living is cheap due to changes that would allow people to not have to "live where they worked" on the expensive coasts. My company was just fine before COVID and we had a plan and we are executing it just fine. The last two years have been just an added bonus for us with extra refi business but were never part of our growth strategy. We are top 5 lender in VA, NC, and SC too so not a small shop at all

If you want to find a way to overturn a law, it isn't hard. It has little to do with "legal technicalities". The judges can rule however they want. It sounds like you’re repeating shit you heard, or is this your actual experience? Because I have two Teslas, and I’ve had a few occasions to have them repaired, and the experience is nothing like you have described. I have always been able to get an appointment at the SC within two business days. For mobile service, it’s always been less than two weeks, and it wasn’t anything important that I couldn’t wait for. Everything has been covered by warranty (or insurance in one case that was my fault). Dude, I had the entire front cowling, some of the underbody/wheel well and the HV battery replaced in my Model Y and the entire process was right around one month, part of which was just waiting for the insurance adjuster to come out and do their own inspection. So based on my real world experience, you’re simply repeating the worst of what you’ve heard from the minority of people who have had bad experiences (probably mostly S and X owners).
If more money increases demand and less making of stuff decreases supply then everything gets more expensive because you have companies/people with a lot of cash sitting in their hands but very little supply to exchange that cash with. So just give more cash until you get what you want...upstream companies already know this and they increase price without increasing supply. Cause that shows up great on the quarterlies but not in the economy. On the demand side when your business needs a widget to complete a sale there's NOTHING leadership won't consider to get that widget yesterday. The easiest method is to throw more money at it. I've been explicitly and implicitly told in various positions within SC (on demand side) to do anything pay any amount to get a widget here now. When that message repeats itself daily in thousands of companies just to keep the business running it would contribute to inflation.
Tough to tell but during this pandemic I've worked for a mid-size and then transitioned to a fortune 30 both in SC. I see the mid-size spinning their wheels a bit going from vendor to vendor in hopes of reducing their lead times. They don't have much leverage in the grand scheme of things so they'll continue to flail until the problem works itself out in the macro. The fortune 50's think big and in terms of 10-20 years out so I could see a desire to control parts of their own supply chain by taking more ownership of upstream, including raw materials and mfg. I haven't seen it yet and that would big very quiet anyways but there's a reason the fortune 30 I work for created and is scaling a massive SC department at moment.

These usually contain a ton of useful information - press releases, SEC filings, company presentations, links to investor calls, sometimes call transcripts, etc. The presentations are great supplements to the SEC filings, all of which you can find on: 2) [The SEC EDGAR database](https://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html). Type in the company ticker you're looking to research, and the website will return with *all* of that company's SEC filings. By law, public companies must disclose an annual report (Form 10K), quarterly reports (10Q - almost always 3 filed per year), press releases & significant new agreements (Form 8K), and shareholder proxy statements (Form DEF14A). You can also access insider share transactions (Form 4...I usually ignore these because they're like 90% company management selling their stock options to get paid) and large institutional investor positions (Form SC13's). Companies that are about to launch an IPO will file a S-1 filing. This is a total, comprehensive digest of the entire business, its risks, opportunities, and current structure. When the company prices its stock the night before it begins trading, it'll file a 424B3 or 424B5 report - considered the final IPO statement. I always recommend new investors take their time with 10K's, 10Q's and IPO filings. They are very dense, and contain a lot of boring legalese, but they are the absolute gold standard when it comes to understanding how a company ticks. I can see why they moved the building of the trucks to SC. moving the assembly to SC makes sense from a supply standpoint, I am thinking it has to be for parts supplied by ship from Europe and Asia. I feel for the workers in Wisconsin but from a cost basis the move makes sense.

In this case, assessing the HEYDUDE transaction took about 2-3 hours looking through statements, presentations, investor call transcripts, etc.

I’m still willing to sit long term but I really think they are trying to hold this card to play as elections get closer. I’m not sure that will work.
