I got into MU maybe 2 years ago back when someone would post daily on this sub what stocks they were looking at with a brief dd on each. They claimed to be an ex stock trader and of the picks I actually went with, I’m up on each of them (BROS, SMTC, AMD, and MU). TLDR, that guy had some good picks and I hope they come back
I have right around 1100 shares also, 20% of the portfolio, and I don't see them dropping below $170 but they almost did. They Basically have a monopoly for another 2 to 3yr if not more and great numbers with a lot of room for growth. I see them as a conservative growth stock at this point. I think they are more solid than AVGO or SMTC which I also own.

Noobie question: I sold my FIRST EVER covered call for SMTC $45 4/17 at $1.46. I was expecting a credit of $146 in my Merrill Edge account. But it shows a loss of 20% lol. Yeah I’m still recovering from SMTC. Was up thousands on that in January, then it all went away in a week. But that’s the market I guess, it’s become extremely volatile this year especially.

I do not see any case for "insanely good fundamentals." Company has negative earnings and 6% sales growth in 2024. You have no idea why it is down 40%. If institutions thought it was a "minor dent in guidance" they wouldn't have rushed for the exits. Seems to me you may have fallen in love with the stock, and ignored the warnings price was clearly giving. Even if the stock did have insanely good fundamentals, disagreeing with the market is never a good idea. You also need to consider the sector. Semiconductors have gone nowhere for nearly a year, many companies like SWKS are being punished. Even the market General NVDA can't get out of the range it has been in since last May. Sorry for your loss, but I just do not see any bull case for SMTC here. It is vastly oversold but that doesn't mean it cannot get more oversold. If it were me, I'd sell on the next bounce, especially if it hits resistance around 45. Good luck...
