Probably buying more PSLV. Might grab small amount of SPPP but idk how confident I am on that one

Wanted to thank you for SPPP; hadn't found that in my searches. And to flesh out the miners a little more for anyone else who might come along: GDXJ SIL, SILJ, SLVR PICK, XME

Yep, platinum about to run too. SPPP if you want exposure to both

Good point. I bought some pplt. SPPP seems to be a Canadian trust and looks a bit weird, so I need to do some research.

The majority of the posters here are US centric, but I am happy to go against the grain and bet against the US dollar at this point. It’s hard to time tops and bottoms but it is my opinion there is a critical mass of factors now where capital will now flow out of US denominated assets. It takes time but it’s a monumental shift. I agree with your thoughts here and likewise hold foreign currencies only at the moment via FXF/FXY Both of these etf’s appreciated in price during the March 2020 covid crisis, these are safe haven currencies Also think it is prudent to own metals at this time. I like Sprott’s PHYS and SPPP

PSLV/CEF/SPPP/PHYS actually hold the metal, SLV (& likely GLD) own derivatives contracts. The COMEX/LME is another fractional reserve banking fraud.

Look at SPPP, which holds platinum and palladium

I’ve been long gold (GLD/GLDM) and lumber (WOOD) for a while. Bought of bit of platinum/palladium (SPPP), silver (AG), and GLD today during the commodities dip. Is it worth rotating more into commodities? Investments from this point are definitely late to the party but I do think there is upside to be had still.

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

Nice DD! And entertaining. I see your buy list is heavy on commodities which is the correct choice in times of high inflation but I was disappointed that you didn't include gold/silver/platinum/palladium/uranium miners as well as exposure to the metals themselves by way of Sprott Physical Metal trusts (PSLV, PHSY, SPPP and U.UN). Google also tells me that Canadian banks have minimum exposure to China's property market as per : Canadian banks have no direct lending exposure to Evergrande or to China's real estate sector, and the Big Six banks have less than 1 per cent of their equity capital – about $1.4-billon combined – in legal entities in China, according to a research note by Sohrab Movahedi of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc.Sept 24, 2021 Where did you get your info?

Russia export 16% of Platinum. The metal is at a very low ratio to most other metals and is due a good run. Russia export 40% of palladium. I bought into the Sprott Physical Platinum & Palladium Trust SPPP. As the metals are interchangeable in car production, if one moons producers can switch. Therefore, exposure to both should have you covered.

It goes without saying, if 35% of any metal falls into short supply, the price of that metal 🚀. Sprott's trust, SPPP, is similar to PSLV, but unlike its silver counterpart, SPPP is two metals: palladium and platinum. Anyone who follows PMs knows that platinum often leads the bull market. Platinum and palladium together is 💦 💦💦 News: https://www.reuters.com/technology/white-house-tells-chip-industry-brace-russian-supply-disruptions-2022-02-11/ Sprott info: https://sprott.com/investment-strategies/physical-bullion-trusts/platinum-and-palladium/

FB will have to exit Europe, BABA has no future whatsoever in western world. Value will go away like a dying mushroom for both. Now, they could take it private, destroy the shareholders and then extract value for themselves. I am certain this will be the story of baba. Fb will do the same with ZuckB private equity and PeterT SPPP short fund.

What are you talking about? Sibanye-Stillwater owns 20 percent of GENM, for instance. Sibanye-Stillwater has 85000 employees and the second biggest producer of palladium in the world. Sprott owns 25 percent of NAM. (also owns 6 percent of GENM). He is a billionaire behind many resource companies and the Sprott ETF SPPP is biggest platinum/palladium ETF in the world. Thomas Kaplan, a resource multi billionaire through Electrum holdings owns 30 percent of NCP. How these are "scams" escapes me. Go tell Sibanye-Stillwater they are a scam. LOL

Go the other way. Platinum is down. One main use of platinum is catalytic converters for cars, cars aren’t being built due to the chip shortage. Gold is overpriced but platinum is at a low. Buy the dip! $SPPP $PLG

There's paper and there's paper. You'll often see a distinction made between e. g. PSLV (allocated) and SLV (unallocated) when it comes to silver. Allocated entitles the owner to a precise allocation of bullion at a 1:1 ratio, but unallocated simply gives you a claim on the institution that claims to own the bullion. Allocated is safe, unallocated is not trustworthy. SPPP and PLTM are both allocated (SPPP is in fact the platinum Sprott equivalent of PSLV).

Inflation will devalue dollar and raise interest rates. Market will crash. Buy silver and gold while it is cheap. And a little oil. HL, WPM, PHYS, SPPP, NEM, FCX, VDE,

SPPP is the Sprott allocated ETF, although it has both platinum and palladium. GoldMoney and BullionVault offer allocated platinum close to spot price. You can also buy platinum bullion at any good bullion dealer (JM Bullion etc.).

Sorry if it wasn't clear enough, but the argument is the opposite. i.e. South Africa is 80% of platinum supply, South Africa is in chaos. So get physical platinum (whether by means of SPPP on the stock market or bullion) and get ready for the price to soar.

Good Knowledge to share. SLV opened everyone's eyes that the commodity ETFs aren't there to make people money anymore. They are used to hedge against volatility in the market. Buy PSLV, PHYS, CEF, SPPP to get actual precious metals in a 401k/IRA.

The usual pearl of wisdom is 5% or less in precious metals as a store of value. Based on the tech downfall last quarter I repositioned my portfolio. About 1/3 is in commodities. Irresponsibly overweight in $PSLV $SPPP, small holdings in $PHYS, $NISLY, $IMPUY $SBSW $AG $GOLD and $UUUU. So far so good , oddly enough my portfolio is coming in as balanced and adequately diversified. Not sure how😊

I’ve been thinking about you’re apprehension to things other than equities. We try to select some other stocks they are not correlated so when one is down the other is up. To keep it simple I prefer platinum and palladium. They don’t have the monetary value of gold and silver, are far more rare than them and used heavily in industry for combating climate change. Think catalytic converters, etc. With the new emphasis on reducing carbon both platinum and palladium are well positioned for the next few years. Also the pandemic and down turn in the automobile industry has put platinum in a strong buy position. Furthermore, platinum has historically had a higher value than gold it is now around $500 less per ounce. Don’t believe me go to www.TradingView.com and make your own chart comparing platinum CFD to gold CFD and see for yourself. There are two areas you could explore 1.miners: check out $NILSY $IMPUY and $SBSW ( this one has options , I like LEAPS 😊) 2. $SPPP is a closed end fund SPROTT Physical Platinum and Palladium. This isn’t investment advice, it’s just to let you know metals aren’t necessarily spooky stuff and offer a non-correlated element to your portfolio.

So I've seen a few Trusts and Funds on my SOFI investment accounts such as GDLC or SPPP and they don't have expense ratios listed, nor on Marketwatch, which I thought was odd, but when I look them up on their own websites I see they do have fees. GDLC has a 2.5% manager fee for example. I am new to this so I might be confused. Is this just a failure by these financial websites to properly report these numbers or what?
