I browse through most PSTV posts and noticed about concerned about RS. So this will be hanging until its over. I recently posted elsewhere about PSTV 8K filings where they claimed to have met with Nasdaq continued listing compliance. (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1095981/000119312525180814/d824499d8k.htm). I have also looked at Nasdaq Continued Listing Guide (https://listingcenter.nasdaq.com/assets/continuedguide.pdf). In page 5, the table on Nasdaq Capital Market companies has a listing of the compliance requirements. PSTV clearly met Listing rules 5550(a)&(b) 1/2, except for the $1 bid price. Here is the requirement for the min $1 bid price: [Minimum Bid Price](https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=fd4a6f8cbbc02fb2&cs=1&q=Minimum+Bid+Price&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjGnp_K35WPAxUszDgGHYMgKCoQxccNegQIDRAC&mstk=AUtExfBLbSaQEYT5I86H79PVzWDjC9d15MH75zXClkxNpSlk1ecmK3JCv1MQTMEyD18N0_E2qB66i36klL6-NAHqDx8TPC9zdVzUZPUEmxw7Y5WUAm55kPutgEPnyxhj68xu9iJB7yaZ6QMjToENyVCytjodOuPnEJADW2I4B8EiF1C9cG8N1TF9pRpa3GiBXBmPNsit&csui=3): * **Requirement:**A listed company's closing bid price must be at least $1.00 for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days.  * **Purpose:**This ensures the stock is trading at a reasonable value and not at the level of a "penny stock".  * **Non-compliance:**If a company's bid price falls below $1.00 for 30 consecutive trading days, Nasdaq notifies the company of non-compliance, giving them a 180-day grace period to regain compliance according to Nasdaq and SEC filings.  * **Compliance:**To regain compliance, the company needs to have a closing bid price of at least $1.00 for 10 consecutive business days during the grace period.  I am guessing the recent RS mandate is for this purpose. If they are very confident that the price will not fall below $0.50, a 2:1 ratio is sufficient. From recent price movement, $0.50 seems like a good support. For additional safety margin a slightly higher ratio may be required.

Your 4% middle-class tax hike claim is pure fiction, your own source, TPC says 85% of households, including middle-class families, get a tax cut in 2026, with families of four earning $80,610 saving up to $10,900 thanks to the doubled child tax credit and standard deduction boost. And $70 for the bottom quintile? Try $160 in tax cuts, plus tip and overtime exemptions for lower income workers....that's a big deal That 10% more households paying higher taxes by 2030 is BS. OBBB’s permanent TCJA rates keep taxes lower for most. This bill’s a lifeline for working families

Construction/engineering names have all popped after earnings and continued upward ($TPC, $LMB, $STRL, $AMRC). So here’s my idea, buy $SLND before earnings on 5/13. These have all been turnaround plays that seem to have turned around, so I think $SLND will share a similar story and begin a nice uptrend. Stock has been basing sideways for a year while institutions accumulate and there’s only 4.58mil shares in the float. I caught the move on $TPC with this thesis. Also insurance names are a good play right now. $HRTG, $KINS, and $PLMR are my top picks.

>can’t speak for everyone but myself and most people I know pay significantly less in taxes since the 2017 TCJA, in fact if you go back and compare tax brackets it means tax cuts for a vast majority of taxpayers not just those earning over 400k part You should really do some research and actually read up on that tax plan. I'll give you some bullet points. That tax cut you got? It was temporary, and it was also during a time when we, and especially the 1%, didn't need tax cuts. In fact, the 1% got a vast majority of the tax cuts. You're cheering for scraps while the rich got a fucking feast for the ages: "Households with incomes in the top 1 percent will receive an average tax cut of more than $60,000 in 2025, compared to an average tax cut of less than $500 for households in the bottom 60 percent, according to the Tax Policy Center (TPC).[1" https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/the-2017-trump-tax-law-was-skewed-to-the-rich-expensive-and-failed-to-deliver Also, guess who got permanent tax cuts while the rest of us were given scraps for 3 years? The corporations and the 1%. So yeah, we can go ahead and cheer for our temporary $500 reduction when we didn't need it, but we got absolutely fucked compared to what the rich got.

# 1. Nintendo Nintendo has arguably the strongest IP portfolio in gaming. No other company owns franchises as globally recognized as *Mario, Zelda*, and *Pokémon*, giving it a massive competitive edge. If the *Switch 2* sells anywhere close to the original, it’s going to be a cash-printing machine. Nintendo also has hidden assets not fully reflected on its balance sheet. One of the biggest is The Pokémon Company (TPC)*)*. While they officially report owning one-third, they also have a stake in *Creatures Inc.*, which itself owns another third. This means Nintendo’s actual ownership in TPC is likely **over 50%** # 2. Vistry Group: Vistry is making a big shift toward a **partnership-focused, capital-light** model, taking inspiration from *NVR*, a highly efficient US homebuilder. For those unfamiliar, *NVR* has repurchased over **75% of its shares** in the last 30 years while maintaining steady growth—an approach that has created massive shareholder value. If Vistry can replicate even part of NVR’s success in the UK housing market, it could be a major long-term winner. # 3. Alibaba Alibaba remains **undervalued**, despite being a dominant force in **e-commerce, cloud computing, and AI** in China. With its strong market position and continued investment in AI, BABA is one of the best value plays right now

You got it: Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC) is currently trading at $26.65, showing a consolidation pattern with recent support around $25.60 and resistance near $27.00. The 10-day SMA at $26.74 suggests a slight upward momentum, while the RSI values indicate neutral conditions, neither overbought nor oversold. The MACD histogram is negative, hinting at potential short-term weakness, but the broader market's cautious optimism could provide a tailwind. With no significant news impacting TPC, focus on technical levels: consider entering around $26.50, targeting $27.00 as the first price target and $27.50 as the second, with a stop loss at $25.90. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to stable market conditions, while the second target carries lower confidence given potential volatility. Keep an eye on broader market sentiment, especially in tech and consumer discretionary sectors, which could influence TPC's movement.

Miller Value Partners is invested in Tutor Perini, in their Deep Value Strategy if I remember correctly and wrote this in their Q1 letter : "During the quarter, our largest positive contributor was Tutor Perini (TPC), whose market share price rose 58%. The company looks well-positioned to benefit over the next couple of years from the $1.2T federal infrastructure law. The Covid outbreak likely caused a delay in larger Civil contracts that weighed on TPC’s recent results. Tutor’s ongoing new business wins seem to have rebuilt the company sales pipeline. In addition, Tutor is diligently working through the legal system to collect past due work, which has the potential to generate >$500M of incremental cash flow over the next 2-3 years if successful. TPC shares remain mispriced in our opinion, trading at a 20% discount to tangible book value. Over the next couple of years, we think Tutor has potential to generate normalized earnings at more than $3/share, as the Civil segment returns to historical average margins."

Mentions:#TPC
r/stocksSee Comment

Well, I try to stay away from construction sector due to multiple reasons, but mostly because its usually the most corrupted sector across the globe and its not unknown that companies go down quite easily. But it also might be my irrational fear as well. When it comes to $TPC, their last 3 years (2021,2022,2023) dont look so good, they revenue dropped, we might give this back to pandemic but still... 2022 and 2023 they had negative net income of roughly -204 and -115 millions. They have roughly 500m in cash and debt of 800m+, which makes they cash flow negative 300m or roughly -$5 per share. Some analyst gave price target of $15 which is quite bellow current $19,6. Last Q1, Q2 and Q3 od 2023 earnings are missed and Q1 2024 earnings beat the target by small amount. Now all of this might be sector specific and maybe construction companies are operating like this as usual but this is not something that I know. I am also a bit busy right now to look into what projects they current have and if any of those will deliver soon or if some big ones will get into construction soon. **Anyhow, this is not me suggesting not to invest in #TPC, its just that some of the metrics are off to me and I dont like when companies operate like that.**

Mentions:#TPC

How can that be an overlap? They are two completely different markets/areas. Drop in copper price wont really hurt construction sector, if nothing it should actually be good for construction as installations and some piping might become cheaper. FCX owns 1 out of 2 only smelters in US and supply quite a big chunk of copper to US economy/companies. Even if copper price drops, which is extremely unlikely, they will do well.  Not sure if you have something to worry about, I would be concerned on how TPC is doing as they stats are not looking that good.

Really appreciate the insight! As for the 2nd part of my question. Do you think there is too much overlap in owning a construction company like $TPC and a copper miner like $FCX in a small portfolio? I read somewhere that construction prices are dometimes influenced by the copper market.

Mentions:#TPC#FCX

I'm pretty new to the stock market. There is a stock I like a lot ($TPC). I like everything about it except the fact that they have a really bad recent history at delivering on earnings reports. They have missed on 7 of their last 8 earnings. That being said they are up almost 150% over the past year. How important are past earnings when projecting a stocks future? Also, I already own $FCX. Would that be too much exposure to copper if i owned them both in a 12-stock portfolio? I heard construction and copper go hand in hand at times (Even though $TPC is a construction company and not a copper miner like $FCX). Appreciate the help!

Mentions:#TPC#FCX

For this stock, I would track it alongside price of copper or other construction materials. Copper is usually a good indicator for the construction market. Copper has taken a dumpster dive lately. I would probably not play $TPC this earnings.

The 2017 tax cuts do overwhelmingly benefit corporations and the rich, though. It increases the after-tax incomes of households in the top 1% by 2.9 percent by 2025, roughly three times the 1% average gain for households in the bottom 60%. Source: [CBPP](https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/fundamentally-flawed-2017-tax-law-largely-leaves-low-and-moderate-income) and the TPC (Tax Policy Center). It also cut the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%, nearly cutting it in half. These corporate tax cuts are permanent, while the income tax cuts expire in 2027. And corporations already only paid 7% of total federal tax revenue per-2017. 86% of total federal tax revenue comes out of the paychecks of working Americans (50% income tax, 36% payroll tax). It also doubled the estate tax exemption from $11 million to $22 million exempted from estate taxes per household, saving the top 0.1% hundreds of billions of dollars over the next couple decades. It [cut the federal income tax rate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_Cuts_and_Jobs_Act_of_2017) for households with >$500k in income from 39.6% to 37%, a 2.6% reduction. Households making between $150k and $499k got either a 1% reduction (33% to 32%) or no reduction at all (35% to 35%). That makes no sense. Why would you give the highest tax bracket a larger tax cut than the brackets below them? The only comparable one was the 3% cut for $38k-$82k. But again, these are all temporary and going to expire, while the corporate tax is permanently reduced by 18%. It also adds nearly $2 trillion to the national debt over the next decade. The deficit was ~$400 billion when the new admin took over in 2017, and the very next year it was nearly $1 trillion per year due to these tax cuts. Four years later, it was over $4 trillion per year. It was a handout to the wealthy. About a quarter of the $1.9 trillion in tax cuts went to the top 1%. The majority of it went to the top 10%. And $360 billion went to corporations at a time when they were already making record profits (2016-2017).

Agree with everything you said. I'm in the Midwest and inventory is just low! In my current neighborhood, there's hardly ever more than 1 or 2 houses out of about 400 listed for sale at a time. $400-500k sells instantly. When you get up to $550k, then you're competing with new construction. Luckily, there isn't much building going on right now, and it's taking over a year to build due to all the supply chain issues. I can foresee prices leveling off for a bit, but not dropping like they did 12 years ago. The big mental hurdle is going to be paying 5-8% interest when we've been used to 2-4% for a few years now. In 2010, a couple of houses sold for $25k in my old neighborhood, and this was a nice historic neighborhood on a private TPC golf course. I wish I had more cash lying around back then!

TPC has options, but liquidity on them is terrible and I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Options didn't come into my decision to trade the stock, it was more about Trump's campaign promise to spend money on infrastructure. TPC does most of its business on civil projects. Ironically, all the top line things went according to plan. If anything, TPC exceeded expectations in landing more and bigger contracts than the analysts expected. But a good top line doesn't necessarily translate to a good stock price, another lesson learned. The bottom line was hurt by (a) a *huge* judgment against the company for a contract dispute that had been going on for years, and (b) really bad debt structure that the company promised to fix and did make progress on while I was holding, but not enough to satisfy Wall St.

When the [expected value](http://www.selectoptions.com/Edu-Expected-Result) for the trade is no longer positive. That can happen either because I think my chances of winning have decreased, or the size of a win payoff has decreased, or the size of a likely loss has increased. All of that requires guesswork and I don't always guess right. No systems is perfect. I have tried it the other way. I had an excellent thesis on construction companies around the 2016 election. Bought in around $27/share on one company (TPC) against a $35/share consensus target by analysts, and it started to go up a bit hitting a high of almost $32/share, then tanked. So I averaged down, buying more lots at cheaper prices and congratulating myself on lowering my average cost basis. Unfortunately, it stayed in the cellar for years, never getting above $20/share in all my holding time after the first drop and spent a lot of months closer to $10/share. I finally dumped it at $17/share about 4 years later. The lesson I learned is had I dumped it after that first drop and reinvested the remaining capital in something else with better prospects, I would have recouped everything I lost and more.

Co-mingling is on the docket in Arizona. MLB Diamondbacks are planning a sportsbook about 30 yards from the stadium entrance. DKNG is opening a sportsbook at the TPC Scottsdale, and I can go on . . .

TPC might be a good play, it used to be a royalty trust but reincorporated as a Corp . They own a ton of land in Permian basin (west Texas)

Nintendo didn't hold the licensee to Pokemon, The Pokemon Company does. Nintendo owns 1/3 of TPC, not the same when it comes to earnings

AZ sports betting passed the Senate on Monday and first domino fell today. DKNG makes agreement with TPC Scottsdale to operate out of there and get mobile entry into AZ. Doesn't seem like much but its actually a really smart play by DKNG. Phoenix Open draws a ton of interest and it lines up with Super Bowl weekend (aka the most betted US Sporting Event)

A unique code is created in the blockchain. A corresponding Funkopop is created. With a vNFT, or TPC, what you have is a key that verifies with the Pop's unique code on the blockchain. Funkopop will honor any valid keys with their tangible counterparts. You trust the blockchain that the NFT is real, then you trust Funko to have the Pop. When you redeem the FNKO, the token is exhausted. No one will honor that token for it's Pop anymore and they can be sold separately.

OK my bad, it’s Tudor Parini TPC, I’m sorry for the error, I’ve had dementia for ~3 years and if I don’t check notes I do this. Look at Tudor as the infrastructure play, but my comment about their books still stands. I ride from $15 to $3 and back, it’s still very cheap in my opinion

Last week I made a plan to diversify my portfolio and created a short list of 1-2 stocks per different sectors I think will move positively with current market trends. I used earnings/profitability as an initial basis to search (via Finviz) for stocks \[>0 PE and fwd. PE, >0 EPS growth, low <1 PEG, low <1 P/S\], then looked a bit at RSI, dividends, below PT, analyst ratings, etc. and checked out websites for qualitative purposes. I'll share my shortlist, take it or leave it. No stock met all my criteria, but imo these stood out as properly or under valued and/or demonstrated potential to move with current market rotations/trends: * Financial - **$OMF** (the 13.4% dividend yield jumped out at me) * Basic materials \[timber/lumber\] - **$WOOD** (an ETF) and **$BCC;** \[specialty chemicals\] - **$KOP** * Utilities: **$VST** * Industrials: **$TPC** and **$GFF**

I like HASI, though it's more of a real estate leased for clean energy infrastructure play. Direct share purchase of GVA or TPC (option liquidity sucks or no options, respectively) might also make sense, as their shares are cheap and arguably undervalued.
