There isn't much you can do if you want to hedge against the underlying's movements specifically. As others have pointed out, your high beta names won't necessarily move with the index. The only thing you can do to hedge directly would be to buy protection on the tickers themselves. If you're trying to hedge against market wide downturns, then you can look hedging using index products. At the onset of the Iran war, everything went down together, so an index put or short futures would have done a decent job at 'protecting' your portfolio (provided you sized appropriately). You could try looking at ETFs that are more inline such as UFO or MARS for your RKLB and ASTS positions. As for NBIS, maybe MEME?

Yea I get where you’re coming from. QLD isn’t exactly correlated with space stocks but in my experience, QLD still reflects similarly\* to ETFs like UFO or MARS. The problem with space focused ETFs is liquidity. Their bid ask spreads are too wide and volume is too low compared to QQQ focused ETFs so IMO QLD is the next best thing.
All three are sane, which means the question has stopped being about allocation. AVUV is a deliberate bet that the small-value factor keeps paying over decades; UFO is a bet that the space buildout turns into durable earnings; XEQT alone takes neither. Pick the version whose bets you understand well enough to hold through a bad year, because every one of these will hand you one eventually. Nobody on the internet can make that call for you, and the 75/10/10/5 rework suggests you don't need anyone to.

But this guy is a bit all over the place and regularly connects himself to the UFO subculture... there's some "living a fantasy" red flags.

I would just buy UFO etf (if you're ameritard) or JEDI etf (if you're europoor) and set it and forget it for 5-10 years. Similar returns and volatility as RKLB and ASTS but you're more diversified and a bit safer

Instead, you can use a scanner to find contracts that fit a profile you want to trade. Like if you are trading on unusually high IV that you expect to return to the mean, you can scan for that situation (e.g., IV Rank > 60). One week it may turn up F, the next week it may turn up UFO. You don't care what the ticker is, only that it has high IV that you think will go down.
The thing is, proof of UFO would be the thing that wipes out ALL value of SpaceX lol. You don't need chemical rockets when you can just manipualte gravity or whatever the 'liens are doing.
