Trying to figure out the squeeze potential for VNDA. Earnings tomorrow AM (beaten analyst estimates far more often than not), reasonably diversified pipeline that has readouts expected in the coming months from what I can tell, and while only 10% of float is shorted the average volume is so low that it has 10-11 days to cover. It's up a few points today but I wouldn't say it's pumped yet given its been pretty stable the past week. I don't have too much cash in this one yet b/c I'm not certain, but it's piqued my interest

I am not sure about the short aspect, but current volatile stocks that may have catalysts around then include. TVGN, VNDA, HOWL and WINT TVGN new biotech. Forcast 1 billion in revenue 18-22 billion over 5 years. They are already 600% up on the month. 300% since I first bought after their forecast. When they report earnings, things could go boom boom. VNDA - They rejected a second takeover bid valued at 8 dollars a share. The stock popped, but is down again and you may find a good price. There must be a reason that insiders think the company is undervalued at 8 dollars a share. HOWL has 2 poster presentations coming up in early November. The stock had been quite volatile since the announcement and is currently up 50%. WINT - They have similar presentations coming up on recent positive study data and meetings with investors at a conference on October 30th.

Why is Novo Nordisk stock going down so much? Hey guys, I’m fairly new to investing so bear with me. I was reading a lot about how these GLP-1 medications are getting super popular right now and that the companies making them have the potential to go up a lot in the next few years. I’m following a few that seem popular from what I’ve read. NVO, LLY, VNDA, HIMS. So my question is… why has NVO dropped in price so much over the last month compared to the others? LLY has stayed pretty much the same and HIMS has gone up 22% in the last month.

I wish I had bought more CAPR when I first read this ( it might've been yesterday actually lol) I got it for $9.9 & change per share premarket & then it closed at $15+. It went down a tiny bit today (a lot of things were down due to the Middle East escalation), but it was $18 at its peak today right? I bought a couple of LODE mid November $.50 calls since they were only like $5-$10 each and they have their earnings sometime after October 18th & before the Novembef call expires. I'm up a tiny bit on ZVRA, I think im about even on VNDA. I sold SMMT before it once again dropped below my cost avg, since I've had that happen 2x already. I'm down on RR but if I recall it's only like .80 something/share and I didn't put much into it. Overall, so far, so very good!

What do you think the proper value of VNDA is given the board keeps rejecting these offers as too low?

Coincidentally I took a large position in VNDA this past week. 3 take over offers. 2 of which from the same company and they denied them outright. The 3rd is probably going to go the same way. The offers, as well as Vanda's confidence in its rejection, are a big buy signal for me.

To add: VNDA has a lot in their pipeline that are in phase 3. They keep getting acquisition offers which spikes the stock which they have been declined causing the stock the drop. I don’t think they’ll accept the most recent offer either.

GERN failed to make 4s since approval multiple times. Being long bio right now is just pain. Hit by macro, interest rates etc etc. LABU down to low 80s from 170s 7 weeks ago, XBI also low 80s from 102-ish a few weeks ago Even FDA approved BIOs with strong operations and balance sheets getting wrecked (IOVA, MDGL, VNDA etc).

VNDA popped this week from the announcement of FDA approval on fanapt for bipolar 1 (previously only used for schizophrenia). With bipolar 1 being much more prevalent, this stock is set to explode back to VNDA 2021 values of 3x what the stock is valued at today. This should be a great opportunity for us regards to make some good money on year out calls.

Vanda (VNDA) has a PDUFA date for Tuesday April 2nd for approval of expanding the label of their Fanapt drug.

Not sure how much dd you’ve done on this. I did about 5 mins of research and I saw that it was for the drug iloperidone (brand name Fanapt) which is already FDA approved for schizophrenia. It seems to me that VNDA is simply running trials with the drug for bipolar l disorder and showing FDA the results. Therefore, it is not a new drug and I wouldn’t expect the stock to explode as new drugs have

I trade FDA small cap Bios, when timed right can do an easy 50-100% run up. Ow stick around too long on or after the PDUFA (drug approval or denial and you can lose all). I trade about a Million that I keep in a Mutual Fund collecting 5% annually off of and use the total to do CSP. I typically get 20-30% up front 2-4 months out from the known catalyst which are easy to find. I use the premium to buy shares at the market and then sell CC on the same date at the same strike as the CSP (this date must be before the catalyst in the shares. You must be willing to buy and sell before the catalyst). 8 out of 10 times the price is higher than your cash secure put and your covered calls so you basically keep your money in the mutual fund and add the sale of these CC to it. If done correctly on the correct stock, of course you're looking somewhere between 30% to 50%. So on the conservative side you're looking at about 30% 3 or 4 times a year and you get your premium up front so that gets reinvested so you're constantly growing the account. With FDA run-ups you may get bad news two out of 10 plays that come early. The CSP helps with the downside when things go south. This year's % from Oct. to current is 175% My conservative goal is 30-40% Example of my last 4 plays This was written up on Dec. 18th (I also use a lot of naked CSP so I can speed up funds recycling, I have 600k coming up on Jan. 19th so instead of waiting for that to clear go naked) ESPR $2.11 FDA Mar. 31 Plan: Get Naked CSP Mar. for 15th $3 pays $1.15 (get a mix of both) $2 pays $.45 Turn around buy shares at market with premiums and sell same date March $3 CC for $.35 premium If the price is over $3 it's like 40% OR more in 83 days ----------------------------- #2 GERN $2.17 FDA June 16th Plan buy shares (no good CSP) immediately sell CC @ $2.50 for $.35 giving you 31.33% Or sell $3 for .20 and get 47.46% Now June 185 days away but looking at 62% and 90% respectfully I only like the $2.50 better as it gives more upfront premium ----------------------- 3rd VNDA $3.77 FDA Mar. 4th CSP for Feb 16th pays $.35 This is to get the shares for the run up or just make 8.75% in 59 days (Annualized to 48% theoretically) -------------- Last one XFOR $..70 FDA adcom April 30 Just buy shares and sell CC for Feb 16 @ $1 for .05 premium. (I expected it to go higher than a dollar so you may not want to sell them for $0.05) But the idea is to protect your downside. So if it's under a dollar, you get the $0.05 premium for free. If it sells that's 50% in 59 days... If the price is still under a dollar, collect your $0.05 premium and sell in the next 2 weeks before the adcom

Absolutely wild to see that comparison, but here I am sitting well regarded having bought GRVY at 37.57, all the while ignoring my positions -5% positions on both BAM and VNDA. How bad can it get?
