A friend tried to get me to cut a well paying contract short to make less money at WISH. I interviewed and the product and people sounded fishy. I stayed with the other firm and 2 years later I have just extended that consulting contract again. So glad I didn’t jump on that for wishful thinking.

I’ll never understand the thought process here. This is probably a great play in a year or two but right now they are getting killed and while selling off their best loans will make them a little green for the current quarter they will guide to a loss moving forward. Yes I don’t see them going under but how long until they are profitable again after this quarter? They can’t use any of that 1B to make money. They have to hold it in cash reserve. So you just got diluted by 70% at 2$ a share with further dilution at 2.50 and u think it’s a screaming buy? This smells like WISH logic where the financials are terrible but the investment thesis is it’s down 60% so it will go back up right?

I see. I believe these are fees. You mentioned you've been through some reverse splits, typically brokers charge a fee when you hold through something like that. I remember when WISH reverse split some people ended with a negative balance because the fee was like $25 on Robinhood or something and they had small accounts.

It's honestly so sad that you and so many others forgot about him. He was the heart of reddit. I have been part of tech companies similar to reddit (although nowhere near as successful) and spez is the "last man standing" as opposed to the wunderkind that the market wants. He's trying to rapidly shift this image to be Wall St friendly to lean into the AI bubble so he can $WISH his existence into something that his ego is happy with. I guarantee you he feels Aaron was naive and weak And he deserves the fruits of Aaron's problems.

You could always withdraw your money and buy some cheap longer dated OTM calls near your cost basis instead. That way you'd still recover if a bounce actually happens in a reasonable time, and you only have a small amount of cash at risk instead of your entire remainder. Being tempted into long term holding can end PLTR style (good ending) or WISH/AMC style (bad ending) or BBBYQ style (true ending, porfolio barbequed).

The stock dropped like 40% that day if I recall correctly.
I put in 12k on call on coinbase and soundhound AI today in the dip. If nvdia soars both soundhound and coinbase follow. The gains if my calls preform sorta good is a life changing bag. Future unclear. Maybe someone else can chime in. I absolutely lost shares a few years ago when I wasn't paying attention and the company I had shares in was delisted. Sometimes, shares are converted to the equivalent shares in the purchasing corporation. The purchaser of WISH I don't think is listed and doesn't have a great reputation, either.
