Pretty much the advice of Warren Buffett. To me beating the S&P 500 long term requires years of work / XP that you could invest in side business or self investing that would enable you to double, triple or more your investing capacity. So yeah, Buy a low cost SP500 ETF the laziest way and invest your time / energy in earning more. I prefer to double my investing capacity than chasing 5-10% alpha on the SP500 (which is far from being easy).
Polaris ($PII) is definitely a "quiet giant" in the powersports world, and looking at a comeback isn't just wishful thinking—there is some serious substance to the idea. After a rocky period with supply chain issues and high interest rates hitting consumer spending, the gears are finally starting to turn. Here is a deep-dive "human" analysis of why $PII might be gearing up for a major rally. 🚀 🏎️ 1. The "Adventure Economy" is Real People aren't just buying "things" anymore; they are buying experiences. Polaris dominates the off-road vehicle (ORV) and snowmobile markets. * Brand Loyalty: Their RZR and Ranger lines have a cult-like following. * Post-Pandemic Shift: The shift toward outdoor recreation wasn't just a 2020 fluke; it’s a permanent lifestyle change for millions. As inflation cools, that "fun money" is going back into the garage. 🌲🛞 📉 2. The Valuation Argument (Value Play!) If you look at the numbers, Polaris is trading at a very attractive price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio compared to its historical average. * The Bottom is In? The stock has been beaten down due to fears of a recession. However, the company has stayed profitable and continues to pay out a solid dividend. 💸 * Dividend Aristocrat Status: They’ve increased their dividend for 25+ consecutive years. This shows the "adults are in the room" managing the cash flow. 🔌 3. The Electric Frontier ($$$) Polaris isn't just sticking to gas. Their partnership with Zero Motorcycles for the RANGER XP Kinetic (their all-electric utility vehicle) is a game-changer. * Quiet Power: Farmers, hunters, and industrial users want electric for the torque and the silence. Polaris is way ahead of many competitors in actually shipping functional EV tech in the powersports space. 🔋⚡ 🛠️ 4. Inventory Correction For the last 18 months, dealers had too much stock, which forced Polaris to offer big discounts (killing their margins). * The Good News: Dealers are finally clearing that old inventory. When new 2025/2026 models hit the floor, they can sell them at full price again. This means margin expansion is right around the corner. 📈 ⚠️ The "Keep it Real" Risks To be a good taster of stocks (just like chocolate!), you have to acknowledge the bitter parts: * Interest Rates: These are expensive toys. If the Fed doesn't keep cutting rates, the monthly payment on a $30k RZR is still too high for the average Joe. 🏦 * Competition: BRP (Can-Am) is a fierce rival and they are constantly neck-and-neck on tech. 🧐 The Verdict Is it making a comeback? Signs point to YES. Polaris is a "coiled spring." It has a dominant market share, a healthy dividend, and a brand that people actually love. If the macro-economy stays stable, $PII is positioned to ride back to its previous highs. Final Vibe: It’s a classic "unloved" stock that’s waiting for the market to realize it’s actually a powerhouse. 💎🙌 PT - 110 to 125 imo

what drive-through man to get short XP puts on the greatest economy in the world
Windows 10 "sucked" at one point. So did Windows 7 and Windows XP.
Its been a little minute since post but can I throw in my .02. \-1. I don't like "classic" condors (all calls or all puts) because they contain a credit spread on one side. I've had bad experiences where a short was assigned, but the long hadn't kicked in yet. So I build mine with a Put debit spread, and Call debit spread. (Buy put Highest strike, sell put high strike, Closing day price, sell call low strike, buy call lowest strike) Then I don't have to worry about shorts activating and no longs to cover. Like a weird Iron condor. ( I got assigned because life one day didn't let me close my trade and it went to expiration, close your trades! Pain to do this daily) \-2. You are doing 2 trades, a few things. \-More commission, 8 trades or legs. Robinhood is no longer free options. Eats into profit, not a lot but still... \- You are not covered, in your example from 588 - 589. It will land there from your data 3.4% of time. Plus lower returns from 587-588 and 589-590. That's basically a $3 gap of loss in the middle. Why not just make 1 trade, -1% : +1% instead of -1:0, 0:1. Very similar results a bit lower max profit but higher probability. ( 0 to 1% may be 40.52% of time, but its gonna be under +-.7% a majority hence dead zone issue. ) \-Another thing for the dead zone to think about, lots of time price hangs out in bad areas and doesn't move until close to market close.. Be aware robinhood 30 min before market closes auto executes trades ITM or close to ITM automatically.. So say your a few pennies from being ITM, and 2:30cst rolls around, they will close you out and you wont get max return. If you buy just one bigger condor you only need to watch and worry around the wings. Never around the middle. Your way, lots of prices to worry about and watch.. 2 outer wings 2 inside wings \-3. Managing condors daily is a B...... I did this 1% daily move strat and it has its place but I quit it pretty fast. Now I use condors if say GEX is showing a growing vol at some way higher/lower price, I can then set up the condor and manage it over a week/month(s) rather than daily. Or I more use the inverse (long iron condor) on volatile companies around earnings season. Where I expect a big +- surprise and big moves away from price and I dont know the direction. Anyways, been 7 months, I'm sure you have way more XP in options now. Just some hard lessons I learned along the way.

I don't know about capex and depreciation schedules, but I work in healthcare IT and ain't NOBODY depreciating expensive equipment like that at that rate. Hell IT healthcare tries to get a decent decade out of equipment, there are still PACS and XRAY systems using windows XP. Nobody is going to spend this capex and then dismantle it in 3 years. Just no way in hell.
>Its been downhill since 98/XP You have all forgotten there used to be time (mostly 95 & 98, partially XP) when you had to format PC and reinstall windows every 6-24 months, depending on the way you used them, because windows would with use become cluttered and start randomly freezing or getting blue screen of death among other problems...
I do have a Win XP desktop running SONAR 5 sorta for this reason. Unless I connect it to the internet, I can track for days. And I don't really care about plugs other than a compressor and EQ.
No disagreement there. I didn't recall that it was 3 years between the initial wide release and SP2. That's a lot of time to suck. But it spent many more years delivering! I even have a Win XP PC from 2006 that I still run for recording music. What I *do* recall was the horror of Vista being forced upon the world...
XP did suck. When people fondly remember XP, the remember XP from Service Pack 2 an onward, which is a different OS from XP in all but name.
You can’t contain 1.4b people grinding compute like it’s an MMO. The ban is basically giving China free XP.
Its funny cause 7 was shit too. People just didn't shit on it that much cause Vista was so bad. Its been downhill since 98/XP. Every release changes things just to change things and every new feature is bloatware or spyware. Nobody needs their OS to do anything besides be stable, not hog resources, and run programs.
> odd windows releases slap, evens suck TIL that XP is an odd number
If you're still looking, I've gained a lot of mod XP the past month.
Same lost $1000 to see this mf go way past my call and I'd have made a couple gs if I'd have just pushed the XP date back
I remember installing windows 95 and that shit was like 29 disks DOS — DOS Shell — Windows 3.11 —95 — 95 — XP — OS tiger lol

This upgrade reflects Berenberg's positive outlook on the long-term growth of Rolls-Royce's engine delivery, particularly for large aircraft, and the company's improved internal performance, although the "hold" rating suggests caution remains. This is a change from an earlier "sell" rating in January 2024, which was based on concerns about the XWB-97 engine and the company's future plans."

> Adobe’s approach is industry leading, That's not saying much. Everybody I know in the creative space that _can_ leave adobe, has. Everyone else is wishing they could be so lucky. I don't know a single person that was sad when they learned that adobe wouldn't be acquiring and ruining Figma. Us "normies" left the bloated mess that is Acrobat behind _ages_ ago and I don't know anybody that pines for the days when clicking a PDF link would freeze your computer for 60s while the red bloat loaded. Basic PDF viewing has been built into my browser for more than a decade and I haven't installed acrobat reader on a computer since windows XP. > But I’m saying that we need to do something even if it’s not 100% effective. Your condom analogy is correct in the narrow sense of "nothing is perfect, **correct** use matters!" but it breaks down when you examine what a condom does vs what C2PA tries to do. Condoms buy down risk, C2PA is promoted as this magic thing that can bestow a trusted aura on media. Your analogy doesn't capture the flaws though: c2pa will happily [bestow it's blessing on manipulated media, obscure provenance gaps, and enable tracking](https://www.hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?/archives/1010-C2PAs-Butterfly-Effect.html). It would be _really bad_ if people started to rely on c2pa and then somebody figured out how to mint "authentic" content. Can you imagine if somebody managed to [create CSAM and get C2PA to say that /u/KJEveryday was the originator](https://www.hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?/archives/1013-C2PAs-Worst-Case-Scenario.html)? You'd be right and proper fucked with zero recourse because - as we all know - c2pa is infallible and if the computer says you made this nasty image, you did it, straight to jail! **In security/integrity related contexts, 99% is a failing grade.** > I wonder what you think a better approach would be? Genuinely asking! "better" implies that c2pa [works](https://www.hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?/archives/1024-IEEE,-BBC,-and-C2PA.html) :). The fundamental problem is that you have one "solution" trying to solve all aspects of the _authentication_ problem **and** the _provenance_ problem. It would be best if we instead focused just on the problems that do have known solutions and will play nicely with the analogue loophole. We have (imperfect) technology to ensure authenticity and it's _very_ wide spread but proving _where_ a particular image came from is only going to have a reliable solution after the analogue loophole is closed and we have moved beyond the need for cameras and microphones to record the world around us.
Yea I took a break too but can't be XP wasting. I got 70 lvls to go for max
Wasting XP to earn money? Not allowed
Have a popsicle stick taped to an oscillating fan that’s been gently moving a PlayStation joystick. Last I checked it was at over 1,500,000+ XP. Been at it for about 5 hours. Exploiting these AFK maps before they get patched. This is the life of a part-time gov contractor.
Double XP weekend boys time to buckle down and get them prestiges
Double XP weekend boys! Just gotta make it through today
Smart way of thinking 👌 Sometimes the extra 3–5% isn’t just about math, it’s about the trade-off with your time + stress. If you can redirect those 20 hrs/month into leveling up skills, career, or even building a business, the long-term ROI could beat both bonds and flips. Depends if you want safe XP now or to grind for bigger gains later.
Fr? I need Win XP. Would pay 5k just for the software
Bro out here still on Windows XP LMAO
Is XP Lee the successor to 2000?
Yes, but this is a little difference because the penalty is that you literally can't use the app. Its not like something where you are in a pay-to-win/compete scenario (like with the "better cards" example). In fact, although they have a league system there is nothing about paying that makes you more stronger; You can't even convert the gems you get from rewards into XP boosts (which is really the only way you get an advantage). There are no flashy Duolingo skins. It is that they deliberately do things to make your experience unpleasant, to make language learning harder etc. unless you pay.

"Pretty good" is . They are mid at best lol. Watered down RPG systems that provide no real gameplay value and are there purposefully to slow your progress down in hopes of buying XP boost. MTX shop in a singleplayer game. Vast open world that admittedly looks nice but is filled with the most boring slop fetch quests and the classic "clear the outpost" activities. Main story and characters so forgetful they could be a movie starred by the Rock. If that's pretty good, what's bad? Now, this will be an asshole elitist take from me but AC has joined the holy trifecta of "Fifa, CoD, AC" games. Which means when somebody tells me they mainly play one of these games, I immediately know they ain't really into gaming. They are just killing time.
Was in high school and college during the peak SoundCloud era (call me Unc). One of the top songs on my playlist at that time right here https://youtu.be/XGMeuVwLVyk?si=XP1ikcj6pwNzrTmB
It’s the equivalent of a VP at Microsoft being fired for having two copies of windows XP activated under the same key 22 years ago
I go fight random animals and people I see in my neighborhood to get XP. Sometimes I get good drops too, although I'm getting bored of Airpods and my equipment slot there is already full.
Guess I'm working overtime XP and MDT calls massacred
I hope not. Or im going to have to do overtime with monies lost on $XP calls and MDT calls
Wait, Asus did this with Intel too? I am an AMD user since the Athlon XP so I don't follow them closely.
Going with XP Puts, FN Puts, and API Calls. Really wanted to play PANW, but got not clue how it’ll turn out, seems could go other way. Prolly have to straddle it.
Looks like I’m going with FN Puts, API Calls, and XP Puts.
Loading up on XP calls and logging out for the week
You will have to pry my Windows XP from my cold dead hands!
The market humbles us all. At least you got the XP.
Seriously eternal blue was awesome you had remote access to your XP computer anywhere. You didn't even need to set it up just an IP address. Nice little open back door.
Very nice! I had a 5850 before I upgraded to the 7970. I hated how loud the fans were on that 5xxx series cards (The 7970 was the Sapphire AiB model that I think had 3 fans so it was pretty quiet). I bought an aftermarket heatsink and fan kit because I hated how loud that 5850 was, but I didn't research it properly and didn't realize that the XFX 5850 was a unique design. so the aftermarket HS/Fan was only for the reference board layout. Over a decade later and I found the still new in package HS/Fan for that card so about 6 months ago I picked up a used reference 5870 on eBay for like ~$30 with the intention of completing that HS/Fan swap, lol! I have both the GPU and the HS/Fan in the closet in my computer room/office just waiting for the day that I feel motivated to do the swap. I have no idea what I will even do with it afterwards; I was contemplating pairing it with an old mobo CPU and building a dedicated old school gaming PC running Windows XP so as to play some of those old games that had compatibility issues. Most everything is solved now via emulation or dosbox or whatever...
Also, every computer has done work that commodore 64 can solve, that's how technology works, a commodore 64 cannot do the work that quantum computers have done to this point. So not sure why you brought up old tech. Imagine if someone back in the day bought 100k copies of Microsoft XP, because they thought it was the greatest technology ever made, and it will never be obsolete. We could call them dumb now huh? All technology becomes obsolete eventually.
I can't speak for the guy you're responding to, but some of us live in rural red states and are absolutely surrounded for miles upon miles. I've just learned to try and keep politics away from my friends as much as possible, because they're idiots who have little skepticism or critical thinking skills. Thats just what happens, they're ripe for the taking, a quarter of the people in this country that were like taking candy from a baby, like a PC running Windows XP with no antivirus. Practically begging to be hacked
AEHR is interesting. AEHR is not a giant in the chip-testing world, but in the specific and growing niche of SiC and high-reliability power chips, it’s a critical enabler. SiC chips are more complex and prone to defects, especially at the wafer level. As a result: • Every single SiC chip must go through burn-in testing to ensure long-term reliability. • AEHR’s wafer-level test systems (like the FOX-XP) are built for exactly this kind of screening. So, as SiC adoption grows, demand for AEHR’s systems grows too.
ummm, the government still uses XP, MSFT threatens this every time they want to cycle a OS, I think there are better reasons that MSFT is going up IMO
You will understand things better if you pick up some experience with covered call writing. Some options to gain some XP in CC writing: 1. Paper trade. Buy 1,000 of AAPL and try various CC writing strategies. 2. Buy 100 shares of a cheap stock like SOFI ($1853 cost basis) and write a covered call against it. If you are concerned with taxes, do this in an IRA. 3. Dip your toe into the water by selling 1 call contract on AAPL. If it starts to go ITM, close it out (buy it back) for a loss. Roll it. Sell it further out in time and in strike. Check your emotions. How'd that feel? **The last thing you'll want to do** is experiment with something new and dive straight into deep waters by selling 10 contracts of your AAPL shares on some random strategy (even if it deemed as "safe"). You may find out that you do not have the stomach for risk, your emotions will take over, you wont be able to sleep at night and the next morning you'll capitulate out of the trade at the most inopportune momement for a huge loss only to see later that if you stayed with the strategy you would have been able to exit for a huge gain (not speaking from experience here...happaned to some other guy...yeah!).
Age has nothing to do with that. I know 70 years old that are quite sharp, with a ton of XP. The real thing is honest cognitive and physical checks of the person(s) in charge.
Portfolio: 26% in Google, 4% Air Canada, everything else is < 4%. Google is that much because it's my benchmark for stocks to invest in. My target price is $200+ which yield a 26% annualized return, and since it's a mega-cap I'm comfortable holding that much. Regrets: Selling MMM, NET too soon and all of a quantum computing stock (I still think it's overvalued, but did not expect the market to go so crazy over it). Not buying HOOD last year when it was down 7% that one day. I should've bought META. SBUX was a good play just before the CEO announcement. Would've sold for a bag right after the pop. Some stupid fuck on reddit fear mongered over XP and I sold it even though it would've been a 60% return if I still owned it. I was fucking around in my FHSA and owned TQSM at one point. Absolutely dumb move on my part. Another regret is bying STLA instead of Volkswagon. I drive a Lexus, but Audi's are cool too. Losers: INTC (100% on me), XIFR (yield traps are real lol), HUMA (I believed reddit in thinking FDA approval would be a catalyst, and it turns out to be the opposite LOL). Biases: I still think XIFR (2%) and LAC (3%) will pay out in the long term (5+ years). I'm unsure about what the future holds for HUMA (1%).
AAPL "inventing" liquid glass, something Windows users had since Windows XP lol
Yep, people are just revisioning the past with rose tinted glass, I still remember people saying Windows '98 was better when they released Windows ME. Vista was better than XP if you had the hardware for it, but it was stuttering trash if you didn't have DDR3 and at least a duo core with 4mb L2. The 'Vista Capable' requirements was basically a lie to get people to upgrade, I mean your computer behaving like a screenshot is still capable I guess.
Hmm, just from my own XP I'm expecting the inflation report to show a lil something, amd the 10yr bonds probably negative too bases on the 30 and 20 year ones. Suspect they'll try to counter with whatever trade deal news they can come up with. Much less boring week ahead than last week I'd assume
But what if they feed the dead soldiers to the living soldiers? The XP will pass right through them.
XP farm is pointless if those who earned it don’t exist no longer
the North Koreans were in Kursk mostly farming XP. Kim wants his army to have a taste of modern combat.
"Formed for the Primary purpose of taking advantage of the United States on trade." . . . Really ??? . . . XP
MSFT is a nice stock and all, but every version of Microsoft Windows since XP is hot 🗑️

Win XP was a repackage of Win2000. So they are right.
That’s weird because in the Windows XP days people said we peaked at Windows 2000
This isn’t real life it’s Ranked PVP in a never-ending MMO called Capitalism, and everyone’s grinding XP just to retire
Satya says no Tariffs on Windows XP
This MMO has always on PVP and all the high levels repeatedly farm the low levels for XP
If this is an MMORPG, Warren Buffet is a level 60 top ranked mage with rare items. The rest of us are just level 3 grunts farming XP points.
0.33% of computers in the world are still running Win XP. That’s a small percentage but it’s a not insignificant number. Win10 did a good job of getting the world on board with upgrading, but there are an immense number of users that will stay with msft no matter what comes along.
Bruh I like it. People losing money in the most creative ways just to earn XP
i see a lot of new Model Y on the road i wanna get improved XP CT ,and maybe MYP
I heard from someone in the know that PLTR is absolutely a buy because they get contracts but don’t worry, they’re Windows XP level tech. That explains why they’re supposed to hunting Hamas in Gaza and instead it’s killing Saed from Show and Tell.
It's mind blowing to me that at some point in the last few years Google just stopped working as a search engine. Wtf the core service . It's like Microsoft when windows became unusable for over a decade after XP and they fumbled phone operating systems. Also googles AI is the dumbest one I've ever used and makes the most mistakes
No idea mate. Don't shoot the messenger. I guess because China. They are a bureaucratic communist nation. They probably running word on windows XP
If you look good, you automatically get a 10% XP boost in life.
Hahaha. I don't think they do much in the way of exporting. XP
Roll dice, YOLO stats, ape into quests, bag XP, stack gold, fight FUD monsters, moon level, HODL loot, don’t get rekt, print fun.
yeah, good luck getting financial institutions to adopt bitcoin LOL. fucking financial institutions are notorious for not adopting new tech and for some of them, microsoft have to support windows XP despite being end of life for some of the larger ones because they will not switch over. That's in America, image places like in Japan where they still use fax machines and won't move off.
I want Windows XP back
