I'm new to investing and was hoping to get some insight into XYF. To my eyes, this stock's balance sheet looks extremely strong. I realize it's a structured as a VIE and subject to some of the vicissitudes of PRC regulation. But otherwise, it seems to me to be a solid business that's significantly undervalued. I'm just wondering if anyone with more experience in China could give me their take. Thanks very much!
Hehe, not sure about your motivation here, but their auditor, Enrome LLP, is PCAOB-approved and very much credible - you should look them up. Many Chinese companies do in fact pay dividends (e.g. XYF, JFIN, JIN) as they do make quite a lot of money. You don’t really believe Chinese companies don’t make money. NISN might choose to pay dividends in the future; as for now they’ve chosen share buybacks as their preferred strategy. However, it is up to their designated broker-dealer, Aegis Capital, to decide when to execute the repurchases.
X Financial (XYF) and Jiayin Group (JFIN) are also based in China and what a run they have had. The Chinese are longterm oriented.

I am tired of watching $XYF jump up every fucking day and staying on the sidelines. Anybody invested in them or watching them as well? I’ve been watching since IPO, could’ve had a position in the $1s-$2s but here I am watching it at almost $12 and still not in a position. yall got used to 50+ P/E that 35 is low for u. im thinking its overpriced as hell, not much of growth potential more then they have now (700B worth of company, its gonna be hard to grow this lets say twice as much to 1.4T worth - will take some time). take your money for some of the financials sectors - u can find there 1.0 P/E (for example -YRD/XYF stocks)

XYF to the moon? Last year retailer's pumped it 700-800%. The set up looks similar. Imagine, a short restricted stock gets the same volume as AMC... I mean I've seen a volume of 100k pump this 14% 227m would break the market.
