OP, thanks for sharing, whenever I hear of such stories I wonder how on earth are we supposed to fully adopt BTC when we don't want to have the pizza (or t-shirt) effect in the future. I did a little digging, and I found out that the MEXC rumors started from "influencers" that were promoting a shitcoin named CAPO, and went nuts when MEXC halted CAPO transactions, hence the insolvency rumor.
