I have been in your situation and I am probably still in a similar broke-ish life pattern. I have been doing crypto here and there on occasion since 2021, earning some, loosing some, breaking even and now I am down 60% from my initial investment. But since a couple days, I am grinding back up to break even. Now, to the basics. As other answers point out, you need to understand a few basics of economics to help you grasp the moves. Don't play BiTCussian roulette! Just throwing money at it won't do you any good. For the basics, I strongly recommend [Ross Cameron - Warrior Trading ](https://youtube.com/@daytradewarrior?si=wcjAzbZ_OhBs_U4j), he has audited books and proof of success. 1st point: Don't take advice from youtubers that don't have any proof of being profitable. And even if they show you green numbers, if those aren't official tax audits, be suspicious as hell. 2nd point: DO NOT SEND YOUR DATA TO ELON MUSK OR JEFF BEZOS! It seems stupid but believe me, the most risky behavior beyond trading are scams. Be careful and behave like you are handling real money. You wouldn't give your wallet to anyone random you'd meet in the street right? Do the same. [Investopedia](https://www.investopedia.com/) is my go-to platform when I have questions, need info, review the basics, etc. It is clear, well documented and helped me grasp countless concepts and uses of what is needed to get into the trading war zone. 3rd point: Practice, practice, practice. Start on a simulator, or if you're like me (a bit reckless), bet only by 0.10 to 1USD first. Take notes, try to make the most out of what you can learn by doing. But again and again and again, document and educate yourself. 4th point: Be disciplined 5th point: Only trade money you can afford to lose. You're not making much money, so be extra careful. What I did was not go to parties and use half of what I saved to put on an exchange. 6th point: ONLY USE A REPUTABLE EXCHANGE!!! Like Kraken, Binance, etc. Do your homework. There are soooo many other things to say about whales, market dips, liquidity pools, technical analysis, fundamental analysis, etc. that it would be very hard to tell everything out in a single post. Tldr: Watch [Ross Cameron](https://youtu.be/QstdS67Iyv0?si=fXuHR3kZUbjrHxJL) beginner videos, he's the real mvp, he explains concepts very well, covers a lot of ground so you can get started and like a friend who wants you to succeed. I wish I found his videos wayyyyy before watching 200+ hours of garbage tutorials done by half-wit influencers. Trade safe!

Well, there is innovation. Right now DePIN projects are creating infrastructure to build a real decentralized blockchain. I believe a lot of projects are just being hosted on AWS or equivalent. We are currently building out a network with [NerdNode.io](http://NerdNode.io) and [DeEEP.network](http://DeEEP.network) That pays the host, via a node they are running, the funds we currently are paying to AWS or Cloudcone. We have several thousand nodes we are running, just partnering up with 20+ node projects. Each Node can run 5-10 projects, Each project typically cost us $10+/- a month that ends up going to AWS/Server costs. We want to truly decentralized blockchain and give this money to our node runners. (Real Word Assets, RWA is going to be HUGE, Right now DePIN is number one trending style project. Solana has 79 projects running, ETH has 60+ and the and a bunch of others with the lower tokens. We are launching 1776 units. This is a ROI based project. We want 100,000 nodes doing REAL WORK, solving REAL problems. We want a project to NEED us because they believe in decentralized blockchain, and want to put their project on a truly decentralized platform. We are planning on providing this for Real Companies trying to solve REAL problems. You build your project, we (Not NERDNODE, NOT DeEEP), but the people running the nodes, are the network! They will be the HERO, they Will be the Network, They will have the power. Nerdnode is profitable, making money, but to really be decentralized-- we have want feel that paying our NODE holders the money that would normally would go to AWS or Cloudcone, democratizes Web3, pays those providing the SAME service and gives us an AMAZING truly decentralized platform. I am trying to make this deal so good, that it would be silly not to own a node. I want to pay the node owner, NOT JEFF Bezos. A data center is NOT decentralized.

**CBDCs are this cycle's wildcard element.** I work in crypto research, and I strongly suspect two elements will have people reconsider crypto: 1. AMAZON & JEFF BEZZOS -- The CBDC initiative has granted Amazon excessive authority. AWS is building CBDCs pay infrastructure system for the US & Euro CBDC. They're allowing Amazon to sub-contract with essentially anyone they want. And that's part of concern #2. 2. IDEMIA -- A French company that specializes in biometrics, facial recognition, and identity management and security. Amazon AWS has sub-contracted them to build the CBDC ID Mgt system. When the wider public begins to learn about this, it will cast BTC and crypto in new light as a much better alternative. Expect the CBDC user app in 18 to 24 months. News will release much sooner and crypto should benefit.
