A wise man once said, "Give me Bitcoin or give me death" (Patrick Henry). That alone is enough to make me question the monetary system. JFK once said, "Ask not what your Bitcoin can do for you. Ask what you can do for your Bitcoin." Abe Lincoln - ""4 score and seven blocks ago..." MLK - -I have a dream that my 4 children will one day live in a nation where they are not judged by the color of their skin but by the contents in their cold wallet." FDR - "The only thing we have to fear is Fiat itself." Reagan - "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this sell wall." The list goes on and on.

I've been learning alot and still learning. It's been a wake up call. I'd say the west & the world been a fucked place since long before we was born. It's very possible whoever the powers may be assassinated JFK, intelligence tried to sell the BS single bullet theory and then openly whacked Oswald. Communism/red scare paranoia made the government lose its fucking mind. Harassing, jailing and killing leftist movements, actvist & figures. Assassinated MLK. Forcing Japanese & German Americans into camps. The selling of Iraq invasion was based on hot BS. None of us had a chance. So much deception, propaganda worked on us and baked into our beliefs, values & ideologies to even our consumerism. The working relations of corporations, government and the news. It's immense. I'd still argue the west has its brights spot.. Russia, Iran, NK & China aren't model countries either. but with the world indeed changing, emerging disruptive technology and power dynamics changing, let's see how Uncle Sam reacts

TLDR: Someone who sold GBTC on BTC etf launch day may not have gotten their money back into BTC until a full WEEK later, aka last night. Remember Tradfi is verrrry slow. If someone sold GBTC at ETF launch Thursday.  That is 2+ BUSINESS days to settle That’s Thursday, Friday, should get delivered Monday, oh wait that was a holiday (MLK), so get it Tuesday. Okay they have their money from the sale, now they buy their favorite BTC ETF Tuesday. Now the etf doesn’t buy the BTC until as late as Wednesday night (T+1) in the case of blackrock, and some I’ve heard are 2 days later which would have meant the ETF didn’t have to buy until a full week after the person sold their GBTC (I’ve only read blackrock’s S1 so sorry to not know the others) That being said I agree it isn’t the only cause of the BTC dip.

Don't forget TradFi takes +2 days to settle. Give cash at spot price to BR on Thursday, settle on Tuesday st Tuesday spot price (Monday is MLK Day). *This is not real-time!* Also, the Thursday/Tuesday difference in price goes into BR's pocket. Nice work if you can get it. Further, aggressive buying in TradFi means deciding to act in less than a month or two. Different timescales apply to dinosaurs.

Have a dying partially rotting child in your womb? Well, guess what! If it still has a heart beat, just go wait in your car and when you're about to die we can help you! Seriously. How can people even have the perspective you do? The right wing has historically been against any real progress. They fought against the civil rights movement for fucks sake lol. Do you think that was a right wing movement? The parties had a massive split off when the civil rights movemenet happened. Tons of racists democrats(Dixiecrats) left the party and joined the republican party. Because the left was embracing MLK and the movement as a whole. Oh, and then the republican front runner, DJT. Said he would be a dictator "only on day one." You don't joke about that. And what person gave up power after they got it? FDR was a Wall Street puppet who's family profited off the German War Machine that he sent American men to die against after he pulled a Dubya (or reverse that I suppose) with Pearl Harbor, and only did what he did because the US was reaching a French Revolution moment during his tenure. He just took the credit the same way LBJ takes the credit for civil rights despite being completely against civil rights until a race or revolutionary war was on the horizon after MLK and Malcom X (and because it was less politicaly convenient). And better not to talk about the Japanese Americans. "When these citizens needed their rights the most, their government took em away", as George Carlin put it. Dude was a fascist in every classical sense of the word, who did great work funneling money to M.I.C.. He's only remembered fondly because of the post-war boom (America and the Soviet Union were superpowers because they still had industry) FDR's image as a man of the people needs to die.

This is great to see this posted here. I have been thinking along similar lines for a while. Protesting in the street when you are beaten and removed is not as effective as voting with your money. I would also argue that environmentalists should get on board too. Yes there is energy expenditure in maintaining the blockchain but the resulting system change would be make things fairer and easier to change in the long run. That is worth a lot. The only thing I'd mention in response is that I think the technological advancement is what usually precipitates a victory in war rather than the other way round. It may be one day that we even find that Bitcoin was even part of an attempt to attack the USA dollar hegemony from some other state power. Lastly, it would be important to note that supporting Bitcoin has its limits in obtaining progress for humanity. MLK made it clear that humans also need to develop the strength to love and this should be how we aim to act towards our fellow humans, even here on reddit.

All those quotes might be accurate and that's great. My point is bitcoin is not "destroying," "replacing," or "fixing" the banking and financial system. Wrapping that idealistic notion into various narratives sometimes goes to cringe levels. You just put "civil rights" bow on it and reduced MLK down to "bitcoin fixes this" label, ya schmuck. When or if bitcoin actually has a sizeable, long lasting corrective effect on the banking/financial system, let me know. I'll say "Oh look, you were right and I was wrong." Until then save the indignation and rethink whose achievements and historical relevance you'll trample on next.

First of all, shut up. Who are you? the thought police? The banking system has played a pivotal role in the oppression of black people. Ever heard of the Freedmans Trust Bank? The Bank was run by an all white board who loaned out the money that black folks worked hard far. Financial oppression and suppression is something MLK and Malcolm X and Frederick Douglass talked about. "The banks are not interested in us as a people. They are interested in our money. And we must be careful not to let them take advantage of us." - Malcolm X "The financial system is designed to maintain the status quo and preserve the wealth and power of the elite. We need to challenge this system and demand a more equitable and just society." - Martin Luther King Jr. "The banking system of the United States is a blotch upon the American name." - Frederick Douglass, Abolitionist

Mini rant warning I wish the crypto community could go back to it's roots, not everyone just trying to make a quick buck, but people who recognize an enormous problem with the current system and who wish to contribute to a possible solution. In my honest opinion there is a small reclusive group of people who are wreaking havoc around the world with their fancy money printer, propaganda machine, military and pharmaceutical complexes, who are a very real and active threat to humanity. Their most powerful weapon is their money printer and economic domination. The most powerful weapon we the people have is our vote, not the political vote, but the vote about where we choose to place our value. The world right now, regrettably, has been conned into thinking a certain particularly piece of paper is the where we should place all our value. The pursuit of the almighty dollar is not where the crypto community should be focused, but rather the destruction there of. If we as a people decided we would rather run our economic systems according to math and the natural laws of the universe as offered by bitcoin and blockchain tech, rather than the treacherous whims of an evil cabal, then that evil cabal would loose their power overnight. It has long been said that the love of money is the root of all evil. The original dream and idea of our American founding fathers was to weaken tyrannical governing powers by the separation of those powers among the separate branches of government. Bitcoin offers us the possibility of separating ultimate powers, those of total economic control, among all humanity via open source blockchain technology governed and kept in control by cryptography and math, effectively spreading the 'root of all evil' evenly among humanity instead of concentrating it in the particularly evil hands of a relative few. Satoshi's white paper I think has the potential to be one of the most important human documents for humanity as it introduces the possibility of not only decentralized finance, but decentralized governance. When you dump your paper for bitcoin you are making a vote, a vote to save humanity from tyranny and to establish open source self governing powers where we the people are actually in control this time. Why stop with economy? Why not make voting done over opensource blockchain? Why not the court system? Why not make all governing powers opensource and decentralized? Would that not limit corruption? The thought came to me after r/place this year, why not wage war on r/place like normal civilized people instead of trying to kill each other on the rich man's battle field? If we the people have a serious enough issue we feel we need to come to blows over it why not hash it out with a good ol fashion open source blockchain place battle? I could ramble on, I guess what I'm trying to say is bitcoin is much more than a fringe nerdy get rich quick pyramid tulip trap, it's more like a dream. Kind of like the dream MLK Jr. had where good will ultimately prevail and we, united as humanity, continue to build cool stuff and do fun things, and explore the universe, and take care of each other and the planet, without these money grubbing psycho-paths constantly driving us apart with all their division, gas lighting, wars and lies. We don't need their papers, none of them, be they dollars or passports or permissions, we the people now have the power to decide for ourselves on where the line between liberty and safety should be drawn, and how to use opensource math and de-centralized ledgers to count votes. Taking your paper and buying btc is the ultimate finger to the root of all corruption and evil. And even if btc does fail, it offers hope. The hope that humanity will use technology for good instead of being enslaved by it. I think one of the things the one ring in LOTR represents is technology, we are utterly fascinated with it, and it offers us great powers, but it can also quickly and easily lead us to our enslavement and ultimate doom. Picture Frodo in Mount Doom with an iphone in his hand instead of a ring. That's us right now, that's the battle. Ok thanks, I needed to that out of my system.

They failed because they had a centralized point of origin like MLK, Ghandi or X and if you take them out you can destroy the movement through counter intelligence and spies. Bitcoin shows why you shouldn't follow leaders but ideas. Also nice side effect is that it is mostly narcissists who are unable to control their emotions and are the ones responsible for buying the tops and selling the bottoms effectively transferring their wealth to the people with a long term vision and taking away their power.

A women loses the right to decide the fate of her unborn child the moment the child is conceived. At that moment the child’s life is independant of the mother’s wishes. If you’re in a blue state I’m not sure what you’re getting your panties in a bunch over. Premeditated baby murder will remain legal there. All the decision did today was allow states to make their own laws. So blue states will be baby murder sanctuaries. And red states will be baby sanctuaries. Not everyone joins in the "Borging." Some of us make it a point to engage in a back and forth with people... like, you know, a debate. My 2 cent is that people are scared and we all grow up being indoctrinated from the moment we learn to communicate. Therefore, most of us instinctively seek a social equilibrium where everyone agrees with everyone else and we are all essentially the same (even as adults we do this silly shit). In reality we all have diverse opinions deep down, but we are afraid of standing out in a crowd. Everyone learns quickly that the "proudest" nail gets the hammer first and the hardest! We have a police state that locks up more people than anyone else. We have a secret police state that is allegedly guilty of disappearing individuals, torture, as well as liquidating American citizens using high altitude drone strikes. America is also the place where rebels and leaders who advocate for radical alternative to the conformist mindset are usually assassinated (ask MLK, Malcolm X etc). There is no wonder that people are afraid to speak out in a climate where surveillance is just another part of the invasive status quo of state control. Add on top of all this the way that the boomer generation has decided to force feed a future of debt peonage on the generations after them. This has led to a sense of financial desperation in those generations. We are still living under the backwards rule of the boomers as they make promise after promise that they have no intention of fulfilling. I do not wonder why people act like lemmings. Under the circumstances we are all signed to a bad contract that we have no control over. Some people fight back, but most people realize that resistance is futile. Disinformation and scams are also rife and our education system is in the shitter. I feel sorry for my fellow citizens who are being pushed into this corner without any way to respond in kind and push back. Americans used to be much better educated and much more confident, competent and well prepared. It looks like the booomer power structure will face no blame for their failures as they currently control the narrative. I watch most of us (me too) working shitty jobs and having no insurance, benefits or hope. I put as much money into crypto as I can because it is literally my only hope on Earth. If I sound a little culty sometimes... I'm sorry.

Tbh at this rate idk if the Democratic party will even be a thing by 2026. I read that only 15% of Americans even give a crap about this Ukraine. They want to start WW3 just to get the public eye off of the laundry list of abysmal failures of this administration. How can adding WW3 to the list help them? Now biden has declared that he will electing a new Supreme Court Judge based solely on the color of thier skin. How is our government a real thing?? MLK would be rolling around in his grave like an industrial lathe right now

Obvious downward trend is obvious. Bitcoin failed to rise above the 10 and 20 EMAs (purple and blue), and the middle band failed to support its drop (pink). For now we are just waiting to see at what level it finds support again. A solid support can result in a rebound, but then every support down can flipped to be resistance on the way up. I never met him, but MLK Jr would probably be buying bitcoin right about now. [Cheers](https://imgur.com/a/o2yC9VI)
