Stacks! Nakamoto release mid April the SBTC release in June. Massive rise in TVL over the last few months which I expect to vastly increase as the updates roll out.

I thought this was SBTC for Synthetic Bitcoin .. oops. No thanks sorry BSC is growing a bad rep lately with it’s BSC platform of which scammers are heavily utilising to create “test net” live exchanges or tokens and it’s really toxic for crypto. This sub should not allow tokens that have under a certain amount of $ behind it. But that’s just my 2 moons worth of a comment.

Can someone explain how SBTC synthetic Bitcoin is different from BTC and also the differences for SBTC and BTC ETFs? I know this may be a difficult question to answer in a comment so if thats the case you can DM me or I may make a post about This subject and the Varying BTC Types and how they differ. For my own knowledge and to share for anyone else in the Bitcoin realm. Would anyone like to see a detailed post on BTC and all it’s related Assets and types? Let points for each and their differentiation from their counterparts? If I get 3 “Yes” I’ll start tonight and make a good guided post. Stay strong and HODL your BTC! 🔱😎💎

I see Alts being described differently across the community. Some see “shitcoins” to be Alts. Some see every other coin that isn’t Bitcoin to be and Alt. Some see anything over rank 10 or 100 to be an altcoin. Altcoin’s as I understand it is any other cryptocurrency not Bitcoin or WBTC SBTC or any other forms of $BTC. The users and owners of cryptocurrency’s be Bitcoin or top Alts like Ethereum, Litecoin, Cardano, Solana, Binance Coin, Stellar ect. Need to have a clear definition for Altcoin’s. As altcoins are booming but the understanding of what or which coins are “altcoins” is different based on what people assume or think they are?

Problem I'm having with SATS or SBTC as you mention, is that it's just too small. Personally I'd like to see something like mBTC which actually exist on Bitflyer's Glossary. https://bitflyer.com/en-jp/glossary/mbtc This way you'd have 4.5 cent per mBTC instead of a 0.045 cent per SATS. Also it means a bear will cost 33 mBTC instead of an insane 3300.

I always think that too many 0 confuse people, so SBTC or SATS is a great idea!

In the future they will make polls on what token to take on next. IE, there was a poll as to wether people would prefer SETH first, or SBTC. SETH won by a community vote. We all got a say. And we were all well informed about launch.

Convert some to ETH so that you have some gas for fees. Then use a decentralized such as Cream finance. There are a lot of coins that you can borrow with low interest from 2.5% up to 20%. USDT has 50% interest probably because it is one of the very popular stable coins that has had most of its liquidity loaned out. USDC is only 13%. Or stake it and use the liquidity coins that you get to invest into something else and gain interest. Curve finance let me convert BTC to WBTC so that I can use it on the ethereum network. The other options at the time were SBTC and renBTC
