[SERIOUS] Non-custodial staking on Ethereum

Wrapped btc and eth are trading 50-75% below their actual price on Solana. At what price point would you say YOLO and risk it?

Instead of shorting ETFs, you can just purchase inverse ETFs. BITI is an inverse bitcoin ETF, and SETH is a short ETH strategy ETF. You'll have to check with your broker if you are able to purchase those.

tldr; ProShares is set to introduce the ProShares Short Ether Strategy ETF (SETH), an Ethereum ETF that will allow investors to trade Ethereum in a unique way. SETH aims to mirror the inverse performance of the daily S&P CME Ether Futures Index, taking advantage of price fluctuations and volatility in the market. The ETF is planned to launch in November on the NYSE Arca exchange. This comes after the success of ProShares' Bitcoin ETFs and the growing interest in cryptocurrency investment products. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; ProShares is preparing to launch a unique exchange-traded fund (ETF) for Ethereum (ETH) in November. The ETF, called Short Ether Strategy ETF (SETH), aims to achieve daily investment results that reflect the opposite performance of the S&P CME Ether Futures Index. It does not directly short ETH's price but seeks to capitalize on potential declines in its value. ProShares recently opened trading for three Ethereum futures-based ETFs and expects SETH to start trading in early November. This comes after the approval of ProShares' Ethereum futures-based ETFs by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Unlike traditional shorting, SETH seeks to capitalize on potential declines in the value of ether (ETH). The fund is scheduled to be listed on the NYSE Arca exchange and is expected to be introduced in early November. This comes after ProShares introduced a trio of Ethereum futures ETFs in recent weeks. The price of ETH has decreased by approximately 6% over the past week. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.

“ProShares' SETH ETF will start trading soon, following the first Ethereum futures ETFs by about two weeks.” And so it begins

SETH DAVIS THE BROKER….. HES A FAMILY MAN — boiler room

I haven't seen that the SEC has declared all of ETH a security. Just Staked ETH (SETH), and clearly third-party staking services. A key issue is that it was made fungible, and therefore it is difficult to determine whether a given staker's contribution is their own stake, or a stake borrowed from others.

Really - The joke is the difference being SETH and OKB, x2 coins with an accumulated 56m volume! I don't think we're comparing apples here, a real Crypto like LTC shows 675m = proper top 10 volume

You answer your own post, here: >In DeFi, it's always collateralized. When the value of the collateral reaches a certain threshold, you get liquidated/margin called. What if, just sayin', that "collateral" blows through the threshold because it actually wasn't nearly worth what you thought it was at the time? How could that happen? A key problem with DeFi is assuming that just because one person bought one pick-your-favorite-token (PYFT) on a whim for $100 just now, that the other hundred million PYFTs that were minted at the same time must be collectively worth $10B. Even if nobody's paid for them yet and they were just minted out of thin air. With DeFi, whoever minted those other 99,999,999 PYFT can now go DeFi themselves into a fully collateralized loan for $5B in SETH and earn staking rewards. They don't need to do it all at once, they can just sit there and do it up to 99,999,999 times, to up to 99,999,999 fools who think they're getting a chance to pick up $100 for $50. A fundamental problem with DeFi (and most of the crypto-world writ large) is that crypto tokens have a speculative value, at best. And for some, if at all. In the end, the lot of them are only worth as much as someone will pay for the lot of them. That isn't anywhere near the same as the number of them times what the last person paid for one of them. And yet this is precisely how DeFi values tokens. And this weird way of valuing tokens serves a key purpose, which is wealth-transfer, from idiots to "clever people". Unfortunately, crooks also prefer to call themselves "clever people" and are gravitationally attracted towards things that attract wealth to clever people.

Is it wise to stake ETH via Lido using ledger? How do you swap SETH back to ETH? Tried Paraswap but it says "no liquidity"

Mentions:#ETH#SETH
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Plenty of places allow you to do this with BTC or ETH etc... You swap it for WBTC(wrapped Bitcoin) which holds the same value as BTC. Similarly for SETH.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

If I buy SETH lido and add it to my ledger will it automatically get staking rewards or do I have to restake it with the rest of my steaked ETH

Mentions:#SETH#ETH
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

I just know that I opened ledger live the other day and a glitch or something showed the price of SETH from Lido at near 7k. It held for a few minutes before fixing itself. I am now looking forward to seeing that again come spring.

You can buy SCRT on mandala exchange (uses binance liquidity, but doesn't require KYC unless you withdraw more than 2 BTC/day) or use the secret network bridge to bring over XMR, ethereum, or BSC assets. SCRT is the non-private token that runs the Secret Network. You need Keplr or another wallet that can hold Cosmos assets (not metamask). All network fees on SN are paid with SCRT. Anyone can see how much SCRT is a wallet. Everything else built on top of Secret Network is encrypted and private. Like I said, network fees and network staking occur with SCRT which is not a privacy coin. All other tokens on Secret Network are privacy coins and no one can see what else is in a wallet. So you can bridge other coins, like ETH, onto SN as sETH, and no one will be able to see what you did with that ETH once it becomes SETH. Also, you can create sSCRT if you want to hide your SCRT or use it for LPing. Because sSCRT is private, you cannot pay network fees with it though. Once you have at least 1 SCRT, you can use Secret Swap just like any other DEX except that there is the additional step of creating a viewing key. No one can see the private tokens in your wallet, so you have to create a viewing key for every instance that an app needs to see your balance. Viewing keys requie a network transaction, but they only have to be created once for every smart contract that needs to see your balance.

SFM, DANGERMOON, SETH. I'll see myself out.

Hi, if you wanted to discuss the video, I think I have a strong opinion on it. **It is most likely a shitcoin, stay away.** It is too good to be true, just as that. How can you always be hedged positively against something? Somebody needs to take this risk, there is no free lunch. Lets investigate! Additional value on SETH tokens comes from buying and selling tax. Obviously, if you held long enough, these gains could outweight ~11% that you lose on buying and then selling. However, that just means that somewhere, someone is holding your bag, waiting for more investors to come. That gives ponzi-esque feeling, aint it? There are a lot of tokens based on "deflationary" model, perceived as something good. Only thing it is good is making initial holders wealthier at expense of later participants. I would suggest not buying this shit (or acknowledging that you are not actually investing, but instead are participating in the hot potato game risking ~11% of your Eth). --- If you are interested in valuable projects in DeFi I can point you to some that deserve it in my opinion; if you want.
