Watched a documentary on VICE similar situation however he was driving and was pulled over. He advised he had nothing to hide even told the cop he had the cash. Said he didn't trust banks, had all the withdrawal receipts to prove the cash was legit from work. They still seized it.

It is not simple as you portrayed. Millions of people from my generation took to the streets across Turkey during the Gezi Park Protests back in 2013. But I am afraid it ended badly because of the excessive use of police force with 10 people dying (some of them were just a child), thousands of injuries and thousands of people taken into custody.
