The 72k OI certainly draws my attention, but OI by itself doesn't show that someone is betting on a moonshot; it could just be spreads, covered calls, or old positions that are still open. What would make this quite interesting is the combination of new OI, heavy volume, and buyers continually pushing up the ask price. If this starts to occur as BBAI moves towards $10, then the dealer hedging could also become part of the story. It's worth keeping an eye on, but I still wouldn't refer to it as a whale bet.

LETS GO BBAI. Hoping for big news today (I just want my one penny stock to soar)
Not necessarily true. I remember stuff like NBIS being touted as a get in early. Good financials, good leader, and they had a sizeable bankroll to start. I definitely regret being scared to invest in NBIS after the deepseek scare. There were a few others I remember that aged well, like PLTR (even if it's down now, Reddit was talking about it at like $8 or something). Although there are flops, like I remember BBAI. Reddit isn't terrible, but it's trying to filter people trying to create the next Gamestop pump and dump, and those that actually see something.
On BBAI — pulled their latest 10-Q (quarter ended March 31). Few things stood out. They've got about $100M in cash, did roughly $34M in revenue for the quarter, and the headline was a \~$57M net loss. But that loss number is misleading — the actual cash burned from operations was only about $18M. Most of the rest is non-cash: they took around a $20M hit from marking their warrants/derivatives to fair value, and that swings around every quarter without any real cash going out the door. The thing I'd actually keep an eye on is the share count — it's up around 479M shares now, so dilution has been the real cost here, not the balance sheet (total liabilities are only \~$71M against that $100M of cash). Not advice, just what the filing shows.

As they’re penny stocks they could go a lot farther too. Until that, I’m not touching $CTM with a 10’ pole. I’ve sold some $2 $BBAI puts if anyone wants to drop the price that far 🤙 Also check out $NU, one I think is expensive right now, but the company is solid. It’s all good man! To be fair, I probably should’ve used a better title for the post. I was trying to make the point that other Ai stocks like BBAI, SOUN, and PLTR all have P/S ratios way higher than GRRR It can be argued that those other Ai companies I just mentioned are way overvalued or hyped. So that’s what I meant when I say that GRRR hasn’t reached that level of hype yet
I think the share float is still low though, it’s only at 27 million right now, which is way lower than other Ai share floats like PLTR and BBAI
Question for the group, when is the right time to get out of a stock? I understand getting ahead while I’m a little on the green side but what signs should I look for? Now I am not a big investor at all, for example, I only have 72 shares on BBAI. while I want to keep it, I haven’t exactly been on the positive side with my gain. I’m currently negative $69. AVG cost of $6.08 but I don’t know whether I should wait for it to be even to bail out or wait a while longer if I ever get out of the red.

It's a mix of BBAI and early PLTR after reading up on it. As I've come to understand it, they are transitioning into more of a future SMCI or CoreWeave for emerging markets. * BBAI/Early PLTR comparison: GRRR started as AI/Analytics software provider serving government, security and whatnot, income namely coming from related contracts. * But GRRR is aggressively transitioning into physical AI infrastructure layers where BBAI is not, focusing still on software deployment and predictive analytics. Wish I'd seen something about it a couple months ago or even a month ago. Worth throwing a position at, see if it climbs or hits another rut, then just averaging down. Definitely worth a long term position and see what happens. I'm going in expecting a pullback though, just because, so I don't really care if it even drops 50% from where it's at after I enter it. I've typically done well with South Asian stocks in the past (FUTU, SEA Limited during Covid+) Worth a shot.
