Then we set a top when people realized we were still 1+ year away from anything being finalized. This time we're at the final step, so no more waiting months for things to get finalized. There are people in their 30s and 40s at this point, who have been "investing for decades!" who've never known anything but stimulus and economic bail out to prop the economy and keep things going forward under the guidance of at least actual experts and intelligent folks. Now? Sean Duffy from Road Rules Boston is shutting down a vital satellite for assisting the AG sector in assessing weather patterns to maximize crop growth. The problem to me is that this seems to say there is a specific carve out for the AG to be able to unilaterally reschedule marijuana. That doesn't seem like the sort of carve out that would ever have been written, so I'm curious what the context is surrounding it. And yes regardless if it were even possible the courts would not let cannabis be rescheduled like that. There would be tons of immediate challenges and appeals. It's never take effect. The GOP are already challenging the way it was done under Biden. I am still focused on the Farm Bill, where the legality of THC will definitely be addressed. The previous Farm Bill is how other cannabinoids got descheduled (CBD, etc.) so it seems like the place we will actually get progress.

While it is true that Mulrooney (the ALJ) called out the DEA on several occasions, I believe many see this as a positive in that the process of having the hearing conducted at all is unreasonable and unfavorable. The entire process being in the hands of the DEA and ALJ only lead to multiple delays and loads of fuckery. Biden appointing merrick garland was certainly a mistake. While I know Trump delayed his trials, Biden should have appointed a more vigorous AG who would go after Trump, not a milquetoast like Garland. But yes, the DNC itself could do nothing. Trump being in office is still 100% republicans’ faults though
