Hi there. Briefly looked into FTK. Not sure I walked away with a clean picture. Seems like the company is in the midst of a transition having made an acquisition that closed in Q2. Their YoY revenue growth was flat / -ve for a few quarters previously (Q4 '23 - Q2 '24), So some of the topline YoY growth in recent quarters is a bit of lapping prior poor comps. Having said that, the management is looking to grow more the higher margin Data Analytics business (which is what the acquisition was about). Strange thing - much of their organic weakness Q4 '23 - Q1 '24 seems to have come from drop in demand from their largest specialty chemicals customer - ProFrac. And the Data Analytics assets they acquired were from ProFrac. It does seem the Specialty Chemicals business had been turned around to some degree too so it could be all net positive for the company moving forward. But given the lack of reported quarters by which we can measure how their "pivot" is going I feel like its hard to be able to conclude whether this thing is going to fly from here in the upcoming quarters.
I bought some AROC recently. Leader in natural gas compression. FTK is my other natural gas play. Small cap, but they are going after their margin business with analytics and doing really well because of it. No position, but EQT is interesting as well got a long term position.
I got out a small position in FTK about a month ago. Not bad so far. Any other stocks you're looking at for 2026? Asking you in particular because you're someone that I think actually does real research prior to investing and approach it thoughtfully. I do have index funds and such but I like to play a handful of individual stocks from time to time. Google, FTK, ASTS, and MU so far for me for reference.
The Dallas FED report on energy production includes the note that senior energy executives doubt the data that oil production has increased every month in 2025. Consistently increasing production would be counter intuitive at current pricing levels, however with some of the advances in AI and drilling technology it's not totally out of the question. Companies like FTK are making drilling more and more economic.
CNQ is a beast. Probably not a ton of torque to the upside, but one of the best energy names out there for stability. I also think there are a lot of really interesting oil service names. I own NE for offshore. FTK makes a product that dramatically increases yield from fracking wells. There's a few small Canadian names I can't mention that make software that really help make the E&P field more profitable too.
Love FTK.... apparently their oil well additive costs about $1 per barrel, bit massively increases yields, so it really benefits their customers.
SYF is an interesting company. Credit isn't really my wheelhouse, but the fundamentals are pretty cheap and should continue to be a great compounder. BKTI is one of those stocks that are pretty interesting. Niche company and never would have thought that selling like walkie talkies to federal agencies would be such a great business. FTK is really cool with that they are doing. Their JP3 monitor I think is only one approved by the EPA standards and should be a way to help save costs for LNG pipelines. As long as the company can continue to execute, the thing looks really cheap. BWAY is a bit more speculative. It's not the cheapest name, but they have good gross margins and operating margins are improving. EPS Growth is really strong, so the PEG looks better as long the company continues the growth. I find what they are doing with magnetic helmets is just cool. Plus it's FDA approved, so it is legit. It high risk, but could be high reward. Plus basically being debt free makes it easier to hold, less risk of bankruptcy.
Nice list. BKTI and SYF are solid picks but that Brainsway one is wild, never even heard of it. Gonna dig into FTK too, those margin jumps are insane. Appreciate the write-up
It's also such a small unknown company, so wasn't really expecting a big move either way. Looking at Fidelity at the after hour volume, it's 87K I tried buying FTK in the morning in the premarket and it cracked me up seeing like 33 shares being traded.

Just since you posted this $FTK has lost 9.3% and looking left one year it is down from $2.24 and crashed all the way to .53 in late December. It did do what these garbage penny stocks do and has rallied all the way back to a very short lived high of 1.97 in mid February. I don't see what is so special about this stock that makes you think it's worth investing in. Please inlighten me.

Been lucky so far. Up 40% for now. FTK (shares 28% win closed), RTX(shares small win 4% closed) PFE ($52 puts 30% win bought and closed Tuesday), BTU (shares loss 7%). APPH (shares up 19% as of Friday still open), so far feeling good. Trading breakout and moving averages bounce. I know, works fine until it doesn't 🤣
Got into MULN on a whim at .86 rocketed up to 121% yesterday sold around 75% of my shares. Still up 85% on the ones I’m still holding. Has a gap to fill tomorrow, may go down to $1.25-1.40 range. If it does probably buy more. But right now it’s house money. VEON, TGGI, FTK, QS, SAVA, ANGH and AMC are others I’m in.

In this case, it’s a couple billion dollars in chemicals used to produce the oil here stateside for a Co with market cap in the hundred million range. Look at yearly charts, last time we said drill baby drill $50-30/share. Today, it’s $1.65
Because related-party transactions are used to massage financial figures (see Enron and almost every Chinese company), **especially** if it's 100% of revenues. Minority shareholders nearly always lose as the parent company can show losses/profits at will to influence the stock price. Something like this happened with MP Materials and Shenghe recently. Flotek hasn't released the terms of the latest notes offering but they said it's similar to the 4 Feb one. Read the [SEC filing](https://app.quotemedia.com/data/downloadFiling?webmasterId=101427&ref=116425252&type=HTML&symbol=FTK&companyName=Flotek+Industries+Inc.&formType=8-K&formDescription=Current+report+pursuant+to+Section+13+or+15%28d%29&dateFiled=2022-02-04&CK=928054) for that -- ProFrac basically gets 10% interest guaranteed and if the stock price stays above $1.741 they get shares at $1.088125. If not, they get shares at $0.8705. Sound like free money for ProFrac.
Can you explain why related-party transactions don't count? I might just be too smooth brained to grasp the finer points here. But as I understand, the 1bil deal adds to FTK order backlog immediately. So whether ProFrac is a major customer who joins the FTK board, or even a takeover parent company, the fact remains that FTK now has a guaranteed sizable revenue for the next few years. ***That's gotta add to the FTK bottomline and hence the share price***. Not sure about you but I am just a retail trader, so the changes in the board or even ownership structure only matter to me in so far as the stock price is affected.
Supposedly $FTK has a lower PT of $8 and $HOOK at $9. There were strike prices at 1.5 and 2.5 respectively, so both might have been suppressed on Friday. Guess we'll find out Tuesday.
