Been to Taiwan this year and am very impressed with the network of GGR, it’s basically everywhere that I have visited and I did a round the island tour vacation so it’s not just the bigger city that you see the swap stations. Issue with them is they are still bleeding heavily each quarter and with that, however cheap the stock is today, will be diluted as they get more investors in. They do have very aggressive plan to expand out of Taiwan, but all these cost money. They need to change the go to market strategy, maybe a franchising model or a licensing model, so they can start showing earnings. Plus they bring in a lot of revenue but their cogs is crazily high as well…

My only suggestion would be to buy some kind of calls on $GGR (Gogoro). Gogoro's stock is at an all-time low of about $0.40 due to shorting and bad news about its founder/CEO who ended up resigning. The company is still solid, however, and it should go back up over $1.00 per share in short order.
GGR. I like the company and believe they are expanding to the right countries. I also like the idea of a swappable battery for scooters.

I’ve finally climbed out of the deep hole that I was in due to spacs. After the crash of spacs in late 2021, it’s been a rough ride. I maintained my de-spac positions since then, and can now finally take a breather. Biggest winners: $CLBT, $MIR Biggest losers: $GGR, $ASTS Still maintain a core position in the winners because the thesis hasn’t changed. But I will steer clear of spacs going forward lol. It’s too hard and there are too many other ops in the market that are easier to understand and predict. There are a few crushed de-spacs that I’m keeping an eye on, but being very careful about accumulating them.

Firstly, yes always do your DD. If you don't, you might as well just pick a random stock through a screener and hope that it goes up. It's just like a slot machine at that point. I will say that I do look at people's suggestions on here, but always always always do your own DD. There's a few posts on here that are just to get more volume onto the stock so that a bagholder can close their position. I use a handful of different sources to do DD. Yahoo Finance, Company Website, Presentations, Earnings call, news sources, etc. The most beneficial is what comes directly from the company and most yahoo articles. They're normally filled with the important financials, product information, company forecasts, etc. It's also important to take a look at the graph and use technicals. All types of information - from what the business does, who the main leaders are in the company, the products, financials, yearly estimates, cash flow, business model, contracts, FDA approvals. It all plays into the stock price especially for penny stocks. Every stock i'm currently invested in is less than $2. Right now most of my portfolio is split between $VLD and $KULR. I've had $AGEN and $GGR for a while before that and just recently sold.

Came here to say that. I think for non personal mobility GGR is a game changer. Cabs, trucks, rickshaws etc...can benefit so much from battery swap instead of wasting their time charging.

Yeah I think at this point maybe lost more than I originally gained. Got way into warrants at the end. I do like rocket lab. I like many others am still heavily into ASTS and was ORGN but since that got demolished it’s not so big now. Those 3 are about it besides some very small positions in the LT spec portfolio with Joby, AUR, IONQ, ARBE, LEV, GGR, GWH

This happened with Gogoro (GGR) recently. They’re quite successful in Taiwan with their electric mopeds and swappable batteries and I think the places they’re expanding make sense (India, Singapore, Philippines) but the stock sank immediately after the IPO. The question is if they’ll stay ahead of competitors and ICE mopeds. Announced a partnership with Muji yesterday so hopefully their cool factor will continue. But reality is it’s still tough to break out from the pack.

I know this sub loves ORGN, but I’ve never been in on it. I’ve only done superficial research on it, so maybe I’m missing something. GGR and ASTS are my two favs. Obviously boom/bust, but I think the risk/reward is appealing for both of them.

Really? I've been around SPACs long enough to know how shit goes. Here's a fun snippet of some optionable de-SPACs and how they went; $NWTN barely holding water about $10, $AKLI shot up for half a day before going to $4, $FAZE did pretty good but never went above $20, $PGY almost made it, $GGR not even close, $FRGE got close twice.... you get the idea. My SPAC account got massacred. My main account I had hardly any SPAC warrants is up 50% this year. Mainly from O&G and shipping. All my long term hold SPACs killed me. My warrant account even after pivoting probably down 30% overall. Tons of -95% in there. Major bags right now of ASTS, ORGN, IONQ, SLDP, GGR, RKLY. Those and others I am going to continue to hold and buy more as of now as I still like the thesis. As for new ones/warrants. As of now just letting those die out or spike to the end. Why sell at $.02-$.04. Not sure how I want to play SPACs in 2023. I have a SPAC savings account I was using to beat a savings account but probably going to close that and just go HYS at 3.75%.

Anecdotal but Tuesday night about 8pm on the dark making the one mile trek to my office/car through the swamp, I saw a dude with great tattoos servicing the scooters the kids use. I scared the duck out of him on the dark. Even though he had 150 lbs on me. 😉 everyone knows I have that predatory thing in my piercing gaze of curiosity I have to check in real time. Lol. 😉 Anyway we chatted. Ain’t no way all the baby companies in America will ever go public. Each market is fixed, large tute campuses have contracts that can be sustainable and the market won’t expand in the TAM outside megalopolises IMO. I also was shocked to see the size of the batteries. Like a 3-d ruler. His job was to swap the batteries over night. Interesting 🤔 I asked him about gogoro and told him about their business model. It goes without saying he felt weird and was maybe not enjoying my extraordinary knowledge about the entire business model and TAM. Nonetheless it made me think. So I am with you on GGR, but it will not be successful beyond SEA. And that may be enough.
Looks like an absolute bloodbad today on many tickers. I was thinking of selling my GGR position partially before earnings tomorrow but really not sure if there is a point to do it under 3 dollars when they already reduced the guidance. I did the calcs by checking taiwanese scooter vehicle sales and they should have sold 27 percent more than Q2 when sales were 60m. Subscriber revenue was 32m last quarter and higher this quarter so the estimate should be met, minus exchange rate bullshit. Queue it dropping 20-30 percent tomorrow.

We all know how much trickle down economics work. One time boosts from construction of the properties aren't the same as paying taxes as a business. Which are also much smaller than you think as goods purchased for tribes are tax exempt. Tribal members working at the casinos don't pay any taxes on earnings. Tribes pay no GGR taxes.
Betting on football isn't comparable to going out to a casino. The only thing this will slightly blunt is the local bookie. That's if they can figure out how to become a profitable business... Which they aren't doing. They giveaway " free bets " which creates a lose lose situation for them. Someone makes a 50 dollar free bet in New York and loses that bet. It still costs them 26 dollars as that 50 dollar bet is counted in GGR They are bleeding money and only creating the illusion of growth, as most of those people make their free bet and don't make another one.

in Europe these scooters are booming. Taiwanese version meaning GGR? i think this is more becoming a battery swap ecosystem play. This was also one of the earnings missed but luckily didnt tank. Holding 2k shares.
