Nope, this is just a result when you listen to the wrong news articles with false information. I cannot wait to retire early based off of my position in the stock. Only time will tell who’s right here, but it’s hilarious you were actually convinced the stock and company was truly affected the way CNBS and CNN (criminal news network) told you it was.

CNBS is a alternative to MSOS on US MSOs, but trades very little volume so beware. YOLO for Canadian companies. Ultimately it doesn't matter though, put on the 5 year chart and you will see that they are all struggling.

I remember tlry. i remember what can happen if we get recession and rates crash & rebound & short squeezes. btw, weed companies make net profit now, unlike when they did 20x in 2021

Watched The Dales Report with Tim Seymour of CNBS Amplify Seymour Cannabis ETF. Gross Expense Ratio +1.34% Net Expense Ratio +0.76% Total Assets $73.3M - Expenses seem high. $1.5 million a year for what “edge” exactly? That’s a lot of money. - Fund manager seems to have a lot of time for CNBC plus other interests. - Seymour is in 50’s with jet black hair and a middle part haircut suited for kids, not a fully formed adult. Gives me pause. Is he going through a midlife crisis?

I imagine the cannabis ETF's will eventually up their holding % of OGI based on strong fundamentals and unquestionable commitment from BAT. For instance, Alternative Harvest (MJ) holds only 1.5% allocation of OGI compared to around 7% allocation of other LP’s such as CGC, TLRY, CRON. Amplify Seymour Cannabis ETF (CNBS) holds a small fraction of OGI ($258,096 value compared to $2,893,773 of TLRY or $1,252,198 of CRON). Horizon’s HMMJ holds a 1.38% allocation of OGI compared to 11.66% TLRY, 13.6% CRON, heck even 5.34% allocation of SNDL. Perhaps you could argue the fund managers were pretty good based on OGI’s price performance as of late. You could also argue that there is going to be significant buying pressure on a low float (80 million shares) stock. Regardless of the pop today on this news, I view the low volume since the reverse split as a sign that not many short-term traders have been loading up/will be selling into this strength. All this combined with a 45% equity position from BAT has the potential for this thing to absolutely rip far past any nice gains we see today.

Note YOLO's top holding is MSOS at apron. 60%. However it seems, maybe, that MSOS has significantly more volume than others.

Basically yes. There are other US listed ETFs like CNBS, WEED (this one is US focused), YOLO, etc. MSOS is purely US focused and largest AUM of any Cannabis ETF so naturally most liquid. There are a bunch of US listed cannabis ancillary plays (SMG, HYFM, GRWG, etc) including REITs (IIPR, AFCG, NLCP, etc) that lend to cannabis companies. But for reschedule the US operators are the key beneficiaries...

r/weedstocksSee Comment

There’s YOLO with 34 MM AUM and WEED with just 2MM. PSDN recently announced liquidation and they had around 3MM, but that was also a leveraged etf. MSOS is definitely an outlier with AUM. Nothing else comes close to MSOS, but I do see CNBS staying around for a while.

I guess it depends what you call holding hostage. I shouldn’t have used that word because it seems pretty dramatic. I sound like CNBS. What I mean was leveraging the impending problem to help push the party’s agenda through or to keep the other party from moving forward with the agenda they would have normally been able to pass without the debt ceiling “crisis” being present. Although I’ll definitely say republicans are the main contributors in blocking debt ceiling raises, it’s kind of their MO. But I remember listening to the dems block debt ceiling talks 2019 because they wanted military cuts to happen. I completely agreed with the democrats argument at the time but the point still stands they used the debt ceiling a leverage against the trump administration. In summary, i should have taken time to be more specific in my wording (I apologize) I was simply trying to make an argument that both sides are guilty of stupidity and divisiveness to a degree unlike anytime in history.

Listening is okay, but following their picks NEVER. There is some good value listening to CEO interviews over time to understand their management style and strategy. Also, some good info on cannabis politics, scheduling, what millennials are thinking, and state news. I do verify everything I hear. I ignore all projections, but lately I found Elliot Lane to be a good source of daily news with a positive attitude and no hype and DH Taylor for his metrics and economic opinions. I sometimes watch the “HEXO kid” for laughs. Nobody seems to know anything enough to give me an “edge” so I am buy and hold and focused on fundamentals. When I say nobody, even Tim Seymour doesn’t seem to have any better street information than we have - otherwise his CNBS would be performing better.

Personally none of the growers have too much competition from illegal growers and small mom and pop operations that keep cost low. After reading [this article](https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/11/27/toke-lahoma-cannabis-market-oklahoma-red-state-weed-legalization-437782), it told me that there are too many mom and pop places that will keep pricing low and margins slim. The big boys will have greater overhead and expenses. Here are an [article](https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/23/marijuana-black-market-undercuts-legal-business.html) of [two](https://www.politico.com/news/2022/12/25/weed-prices-business-michigan-00075485) about the [issue](https://www.marketwatch.com/story/curaleaf-cutting-10-of-staff-as-it-exits-three-u-s-states-11674740437). The only way I would invest in the MJ market place is via an ETF, most probable MSOS as the other (MJ, CNBS, YOLO) are not as well diversified. I feel you need to be with the suppliers and derivatives (edibles, beverages, pharmaceuticals, agchem additives (biopesticides), regulatory support, hydroponics, ...) but no one company will win. I recently pulled the trigger on MSOS as I thought below $10 was a good buying point. As you see in the article, red states do have and want legalization. I expect the SAFE legislation to be passed with the GOP taking credit for getting it done. They did not want Biden and the dems taking credit.

This is what I mean - I don't want to come across as a dick but you clearly haven't actually tried to value the company. You're relying on talking points from CNBS. Let's break it down for the Tesla example. Look at each of the points you mentioned and look for evidence of it's validity - "just a car company" - ignoring the energy storage business that is growing exponentially, let alone the prospect of actual FSD whenever it comes. Even for the car business, ignoring industry leading profit margins, and speed of prodction ramp. "Losing their edge" - really? To who? who can make equivalent cars at the same margins? Who has their supercharger moat? Then look at their actual financials - growing by billions each year WHILE spending money hand over fist opening new factories and developing the next gen products. Look at the superiority of their PROCESS - with constant improvements not just in the cars but in the car-making process. I'm obviously a fan of Tesla but more broadly, that's not the case I'm making. The point is you're using unreliable sources that we know are influenced by multiple pump and dump agendas, not actually looking at the company and what it's doing. THis is what is making you "suck ass at choosing" as you put it. Unless you put in the work to develop conviction in a company based on some solid data, you should stick to ETFs or Index trackers. And again, NEVER gamble on options.

The more you think about things, this actually makes more sense that the share prices has been moving 1 direction. Very few if any new buyers. Only sellers that need to get out for whatever reason. Imagine the housing market that had only sellers and no buyers and what that can do to prices. The market is really inefficient now. It does little to explain why new money isn't coming in through the ETFs like MSOS, PSDN, CNBS, etc. That would be the gateway to avoid OTC.

***Cara Therapeutics / CNBC’s Tim Seymour*** Anyone notice the drop in CARA today? Now look at CNBS of CNBC’s talking head Tim Seymour. He’s an equity analyst and money manager. Just goes to show that cannabis industry is down for ALL of us, even the experts. I’m still optimistic and willing to be patient. I still think logic and growing support for cannabis will happen. Sticking to my thesis, doing my own due diligence, and not listening to anyone, expert or not. Regardless of the stress and anxiety it’s causing.
