With $DFEN, you can play all defense earnings. This is similar to my play with $SMH from $197 for last NVDA earnings. This is probably the safest trade this week. Play defense directly if you want for $RTX or $LMT but I like to be insular from earnings call risks. $META calls are a meta play on TikTok ban news. It’s a direct competitor to Instagram Reels. $TSLA puts because reality has caught up to Tesla’s P/E ratio and horrendous CEO. /r/cybersucks for more info by me. That’s the extent of my knowledge for the week.

I put some buy and hold money into DFEN etf and up 35% military spending causes the money printer to brr therefore higher inflation is here to stay for the next few years at least

If you want to see how they combat volatility you can look at how the DFEN ETF is weighted and the holdings performance individually. BA is the top holding. If you held everything but the #1 weighted holding you would've killed it. BA has the ETF sitting at +1.28% since the rebalance. If DFEN wasn't holding BA, the return would be >+25%. Markets are efficient, no matter how they get you to sell shares or buy options. Chances are there's some predictive ai model that rebalances based on institutional holdings to even out vanguard, Blackrock, and UBS AUM. They have to sell calls/puts to balance liquidity for illiquid bonds. Since they just got in bonds oct '22, I'm expecting they short volatility on indexes that have etfs with the highest premium on calls and puts until Q3 2024. This could change w/ the news today: *US treasury auction for 3y t bills on Feb 6 and 10y on Feb 7.* I would pay close attention to how the indexes have been rebalanced in the past. ***Side note:*** Not sure of what to call this theory or if it is a macro trend but the thesis is this: Loosely regulated capitalism gradually leads to loopholes being exploited by the companies that had first mover advantage. This would gradually lead to a lot of smaller (almost...) monopolies. (FAANG). During times of deflation and a federal government in crazy debt, investors will move out of potentially undervalued companies into the companies with the most cash flow and highest margins and revenue. Forget anything "per share." Price no longer matters. This is why I think the s&p100 has outperformed the s&p500 in January 2024. *if anyone knows what this is, please lmk* seems like unsmoothing with a level of revenue or cash flow for a company that determines the direction of unsmoothing.

It's sort like an economic play where the country with the most resources produces the most arms and we give them to smaller countries and write it off. The smaller countries then befriend us and the winner is the one with the most / best guns. Soooo if proxy wars are profitable and stable then we might not have a giant ww3. As far as which stocks I like DNN because if you read their prospectus they have a lot of minerals close to the surface and a massive deposit. They can get more out of the ground and cheaper. They haven't started mining yet its a few years off I think, last I checked so its a waiting game. If we declare a full embargo with Russia that stock will pump hard along with other uranium stocks. Also worth noting DNN just said they are getting into lithium. My other favorites are DNA, QBTS and some other smaller caps. The crypto ones GPTC and ETHE would be good to hold for the long run if you believe in crypto. I mean like hold them for 5-10 years but they could pay off big and I do expect them to. Alternatively you could just invest part of your money into BTC which at this point I would also recommend if you want to hold it. Just don't lose your private key. As for which stocks pump during wartime check out DFEN it's a triple leveraged defense stock. Look at their holdings. Another tip is that if you want to invest in oil companies you can look at which companies produce the tools. For instance whether an oil company strikes oil they still need drill bits. You can invest in the company that makes the drill bits and they are always making money regardless. If there is more demand for oil there is more demand for drill bits. It's all in the details. There are a lot of different ways to invest and make money over different time frames. Like I said though I really wouldn't do your current plan like you have suggested. Also if you intend to invest, put it there don't touch it. If you want to play with options pick a set amount every year and put that in. I start with like 1k-2k and then I don't re-upp I cut myself off if I lose. If I am positive for that year then that's a good year.

Did some analysis on defense stocks (LMT, RTX, NOC, GD and DFEN) last month and gambled that this was going to be an up year for them. Increased my LMT position by 10% on late December dips and opened a position in NOC. So far I'm not wrong! Not touching DFEN

Shit? DFEN was up another 2% today. I doubled down on my original position & am now only down 11% from 28% & the war is just starting. Israel goes into Gaza to eradicate Hamas; Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has way more rockets than Hamas, will join the fight. Raytheon is working overtime to resupply missals for the Iron Dome because they're already running out. Several U.S. C5's landed today with more rockets & munitions. The towel heads will get lucky & shoot a few planes down too. 2 U.S. carriers are there now to attack Iran when that happens. Diamond Hands on DFEN.

DFEN 3X Defense Stock ETF I was down 33% on 2,000 shares at the close on Friday. DFEN popped 9% this morning which is understandable. Still down 28% I picked up another 1,000 shares. At 20.5% Raytheon is DFEN's largest holding. Raytheon makes 70% of the parts for the missiles used by Israel's Iron Dome air defense system. They're shooting thousands of those off to counter the cheap but deadly rockets from Gaza & Lebanon that Iran's been supplying them with & that stockpile is being drawn down. Raytheon sell a version of Iron Dome the U.S. as Blue Sky. DFEN hit an all-time high price of $69.92 on February 14, 2020 but for some reason never recovered after the Covid crash. I was 30% cash in my portfolio & went 'All In' in the days before March 23rd to very good effect. When the Chi Com's move on Taiwan, DFEN could go to the moon so I'm gonna have Diamond Hands on my 3,000 shares.
