Just recently I've gotten into inverse leveraged assets. Especially if the pending recession is going to be anything like it was in 08 those stocks such as SQQQ, FAZ and such were up to a half a million or more. So I've placed multiple leap options across a number of inverse assets. Why I've done this? Well it's no secret the market is over bought whether you're looking at the buffet indicator that says stocks are overbought by 220%, or the stock market is being held up by tech companies, mainly AI that aren't profitable. Or should I say they can't justify their P/E. Like the writing is on the wall. We're entering a bear market rather be liquid. I've already sold all my stocks. And I didn't know the best way to trade inverse leveraged stocks is with option trading because those assets are proned to reverse splits but it doesn't affect the option chain with the exception of the pricing.

Firstly I'm not bullish on the market right now at all. Your asking the wrong person. I'm currently long on inverse leveraged stocks like SQQQ, FAZ, and such. If you do calls on TQQQ or QQQ. Just give yourself breathing room. I've seen so many people post enormous losses because their calls expire days after they bought them on TQQQ or QQQ, just friendly advice!

How is 3x Financial Inverse FAZ at +4% while basically every bank stock is positive or hovering near flat... This happened the other week, and then the next day banks nosedived. Do I need to load up?

TQQQ shorts are for the longer term TQQQ decays relative to the NASDAQ so that's ideal for trading the correction that will eventually come. SQQQ doesn't decay all that much, but I short SQQQ instead of opening longs for NASDAQ because shorting is free of charge at my broker while going long directly incurs daily fees. SOXS and SOXL decay very fast, and I want to be short the semis in case the market would go up and that's automatically implemented by shorting both SOXS and SOXL. We'll likely get a rotation to the financial sector, shorting FAZ has the advantage that FAZ decays over time. I'm long TMF instead of short TBT because TBT incurs massive dividend fees and doesn't decay all that fast. It's worse than SQQQ in which case the slow decay is still similar to the quarterly dividend fee.

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

Short NASDAQ by shorting TQQQ and shorting SQQQ as a hedge. Long VXX and also short VXX as a hedge. Long XLF by shorting FAZ Long TLT by being long TMF Neutral semis by being short SOXS and also short SOXL at the same exposures.

Long Dollar/Yen Short Euro/Dollar Long VXX Short TQQQ and short SQQQ,: Net short NASDAQ with SQQQ short as a hedge. Short SOXS and short SOXL: Net neutral position on semis. Short FAZ

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

September 23rd is dividend ex-date for many of my leveraged ETFs. I've closed my shorts for SOXS and moved the money to a long position for SOXL a few days ago. Today I may open a long position for SQQQ and if the market goes down today, I may close a few shorts for TQQQ and perhaps open a long position for TQQQ. Shorts for TBT were closed a while ago and the money was moved to a long position for TMF. I'll leave my large short position for FAZ open. On the ex-date or later I'll reverse these moves at opportune moments, closing long positions for leveraged ETFs and reopen the shorts for leveraged ETFs.

Essentially, yes. I don't hold penny stocks long anyways but you'll want to day trade these, or if need to avoid PTD, hold only until the next day. I don't worry much about small intraday dips here as they're often all or nothing trends. Bad news is coming tomorrow for the market overall and TSLA sales are down a lot Q1. Active picketing and protesting at TSLA showrooms. So VERY high chance I'll be buying TSLZ tomorrow as it will likely go down more. I'll also probably go in on FAZ depending on how it looks.

Autos are /assembled/ here, there is no production or manufacturing AT ALL going on in America, it was outsourced long ago to keep prices affordable for US consumers. There's an entire desolate wasteland called the "Rust Belt" to reinforce my statement. I cannot understand how people do not (or fail) to understand this, the 25% tariff is on EVERYTHING automotive that you or l might need, and American auto companies have zero incentive to change that. Consider this. As to OP; yes, yes l am. I've been buying in to UVXY shares since the end of 2023, I've been averaging into any calls with a decent time frame (my current thesis is 18mo, but is revised everytime he says something) which are expensive and risky due to the leverage contained in the option and my conviction that VIX hasn't moved/been sleepy since the turmoil of 2022, and if ever there was a catalyst to send it on a face ripping rampage it's name would be Trump. I'm absolutely convinced this administration is going to send VIX to Mars and I've so far seen little evidence to make me even slightly second guess myself. Recently I've been purchasing small blocks of the "bear" side shares of TSLQ, TSLS, SPXS, NVDQ, FAZ, etc, while things are still relatively cheap. Capital-garchy is the newer, sexier, more terrifying evolution of Capitalism, now powered with AI, and the future come today to enrapture your soul and captivate your life. Yo fellow traders. I am of the camp that believes we are headed towards a financial crisis, crashing the stock market. Thus I wanted to gauge how people with a similar belief are investing. I personally have around 50 long call contracts with SQQQ, FAZ, and UVIX. What is your strategy and any critiques on mine? Thanks!

r/investingSee Comment

Half in Options that assume a financial crisis (if you time it right you can easily make hundreds of thousands). For example I have a bunch of contracts set to expire in Jan 2026 that bet the FAZ and UVIX will go up. I think this is entirely possible, a lot of warning signs similar to 2008 signal that a crash will happen, even worse than 2008. The other half I’d put in Bitcoin/MSTU. It’s the future!

r/investingSee Comment

Trying too new many strategies too often, usually due to FOMO or greed. There are dozens, hundreds, thousands of strategies that can make you rich. * ETFs * Chart Trading * Options * Value Investing * Swing Trading * Knowing a market I always tell friends of mine who don't invest "it's remarkably easy, odds are if you pick 10 stocks, 1 or 2 will 2x within 5 years." The point is, investing can give returns unlike many other schemes. Even if you lose 20% on a stock... you still have 80% of the money... unlike gambling. I have to stress that point - we're all trained on 0 sum games when it comes to money and it messes us up. We're all used to loss and gain posts on other subs on reddit that we don't think about steady returns in a normal fashion. To thread the needle here. If you invest, you'll probably do better than you expected (unless you are greedy or dumb or both). Maybe you'll get really good at tracking the ups and downs of SPY or BRKB or Google and will learn how to take 20% profits off high/low trading 2-3x a year. However you do it... I'd advise you to not conflate your success with skill and then move on to something else. Stay the course and take steady gains, and if you want to expand, do so slowly. What often happens is someone will make 8x on trade, think they are the next Warren Buffet, and then start the next trading week like they are Jordan Belfort on a bender. They'll chase quick advice without DD, they'll resort to their gut, or a small chance play and then go right back to where they started. My personal experience... in Jan of 2020, I knew COVID was going to be bad so I bought a ton in Bear ETFs on Oil and the financial sector (ERY and FAZ). I think I made 6x from late Jan until the crash ended in March. I was then convinced the second drop was coming and lost 2/3rds of my gains staying bear instead of pivoting and taking wins. Aim for 8-10% a year, if you do better, don't treat that like house money, and when you have a bad year, don't panic - just reasses.

r/investingSee Comment

Hey I'm 21 too. I wouldn't recommend buying bonds because they are really low risk low reward. I personally am invested into a lot of Bitcoin related things (MSTR, MSTU, BTC itself) and also things that anticipate a massive market crash (FAZ, UVIX, SQQQ) for which I have mostly options. Stepping away from my personal beliefs about the fate of our market, I suggest diversifying in multiple industries which it seems like you are doing. Now for my personal views. I suggest learning more about Bitcoin, looking into MSTR's Michael Saylor and his project. He plans to continue to buy Bitcoin as time goes on with his company's profits, creating more and more value as Bitcoin's price increases. Eventually when Bitcoin's supply becomes more and more limited, this will create a supply shock which will increase its value even further. I see this as the most aggressive, quick, yet somewhat stable way to make money longterm, as Bitcoin's relevance increases more and more. Also I really think we're headed for a stock market crash. Everything is overvalued and there are various economic signs that it is no longer sustainable. This idea all plays into Bitcoin, but that's enough of me trying to push my own ideas on you, the rest is up to you if you're curious. Good luck!

With the banks reportings... buy FAS or FAZ if you think they will be good or bad accordingly Honestly though, 1k isn't worth being aggressive with. Invest it and build a pool, and with a portion of that pool get aggressive in a few years. Why? Because if you keep losing 1000k, you'll just become a money pit, but when you have 8k invested normal and 2k high risk, you'll understand the risk / reward better.

Historical speaking, if a financial crash happens this year. The housing market crash need 2-3 years to hit rock bottom, also the mortgage interest rate won't be dropping that fast either. As a result, I wouldn't plan on purchasing a home for the next 2 years. So my advice is this: Clear you debts, save some cash, 2-3 years later maybe you can find a nice home at a relatively low price. Don't go day trade, invest in a bear fund when you feel the financial crash is in full steam ex: FAZ.

That's not how inverses work. There is a daily rebalancing that has a drastic effect on the price. They seek to take daily profits by shorting a specific sector. If we have a month or even a week of green banks, both FAZ and BNKD take huge hits. There are two primary approaches to trading these ETFs. Either buy and hold waiting for the Black swan that will make the ETF go parabolic, or day trade it. The funds themselves have no deep value beyond the impending market crash. I would not invest in either of them as anything but a hedge, and I am invested in several leveraged ETFs, including both of these tickers.

I don't own this stock but it's hard not to be bullish at these levels and chime in on all the misinformation posted everywhere about the stock going to 0 because it's being delisted. Sometimes equities squeeze up when they get to the OTC (TVIX, FAZ, SIVBQ). Please consider this if buying .50-1.00 puts today. Bankruptcy isn't until June. Lots can happen between now and then. The bankruptcy court judge can always request the broker transactions to account for the shares. That alone led to a spike in some stocks that were heavily sold short and presumed dead.

I picked up SPXU at 12.90 didn’t sell it when SPY hit 3500 last year. started my FAZ in Feb around $16.80 but I do honestly have the ever-running question in my head of “what if the PPT can really keep siphoning tax dollars endlessly into the market?” That’s my win condition: PPT being unable to save the plunge. Or maybe I should just find where they’re based out of and cut their electricity for a day lol

Not financial advice. In my personal opinion only ones worth buying are SPXU, FAZ, and SOXS. Im all in on America falling. The stock market is propped on a ton of manipulation and no stock price sees real price discovery. The plunge protection team won’t be able to keep propping it up forever. It’s only a matter of time before it all crashes. My guess is Sept-Nov this year SPY will touch 3K and maybe a tad below
