$FISV charted here on the weekly. $92 support has been tested4 times since the Covid crash. TTBB alerted it bearish today. If it breaks below $92 and holds, it could see a $5-7 drop. That orange line is also the 200EMA. The white line is the 9EMA.

It had a nice pop in the last week or so but I still think FISV is a decent buy. Def better under $50 but no guarantee you see those prices again.
MSFT, GOOG, V, FISV, UNH, UPS, RSG, RKT, CELH I also own GEV and AMAT that are in the red but rest of my portfolio is mooning today more than making up for it

At this price FISV is attractive... any thoughts? Just looking for options yo place some bets. Lol
Glad I didnt get Burryed into buying FISV after that 50% slide
Haha no not yet. I bought INTU and FISV today
I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking that maybe he doesn’t get out much and see how much more competition LULU has and at much cheaper price points. Or maybe he does, but only in the small, wealthy enclave in California he >!lives!< in and sees a lot of LULU and thinks it must still be popular. Then I also wonder why would he want to be so exposed and willing to die on a hill for a sector that is most affected by the imminent economic collapse he’s always talking about🤔 I used to take the guys word as gospel, primarily because of The Big Short, and thought he was a genius. But over the last few years I’ve actually learned how to value companies myself, and have done pretty well investing. And I’ve followed Michael’s picks along the way (EL, PYPL, ADBE, LULU, FISV, etc) and just never understood or saw the value in any of them fundamentally. I’ve come to believe that Burry is just a trader who heavily relies on a “reversion to the mean” strategy. He sees these once great companies dropping like a knife and just thinks that it must bounce at some point, and that’s when he exits. And now with his Substack he has a captive audience to help do that. But for pretty every stock besides for ADBE, it hasn’t worked out well at all.
APTV VF NVRI and maybe FISV and HOG And the only safe one I have is Sony (There goes all my money)
ehhm am I seeing this correctly? DDOG was down -15% and is at -1%? The same with FISV? If they recovered, sentiment turned and buy the fing dip on APP
RIP to the one guy who was asking about playing FISV earnings
FISV puts or will it finally reverse and pump. They don't seem to be doing good after that drop last year
Earnings for FISV on Thursday and I am intrigued
A low multiple low volatility stock that pays a dividend. Something like Acomo. A proven compounder that has taken a hit from the saspocalypse narrative would be more defensive. FISV has never been cheaper. A company with strong DCF valuations like flow traders. Companies that proven value investors are endorsing like liberty global The companies you flag are great but their price is disgustingly high
Anyone going to gamble on FISV earnings? Maybe it will recover from that massive drop last year haha
Most companies don't seem to give bonuses for quarterly results from my reads of their results and compensation. The vast majority of their compensation tends to be long dated, otm options. The primary lever I have on this is effectively generating cash. You can bullshit and gasbag, which lots of management does do, but eventually you run off the edge like FISV and you're screwed.
Might increase my position in FISV
I did join Burry on FISV value play.
Also, companies like FISV (who owns Zelle and conducts most background banking activities for medium to large banks)

Obviously, I've learned a few things on these trades. There was plenty of liquidity going into the FISV trade. It never occurred to me that liquidity would go away as the trade becomes a winner.
You are calling this a complex trade? It's a pretty simple credit spread. You are also mixing the details about two trades. I was already counting on AVY to be a max loss. It was my mistake thinking that brokers would let you out of the trade at a max loss ($5 width). I even offered $5.05 and $5.10 and couldn't get a fill. It doesn't matter. TDAmeritrade will assign/exercise and close it out. It's just a little ironic that with the FISV. I mean, I pick a winner. Stock goes up $8. But now that the stock is $8 away from my strikes, there is no liquidity on those strikes. It will obviously come back closer to expiration or if the stock falls.
Here is the option: SOLD -10 VERTICAL FISV 100 (Weeklys) 24 FEB 23 97/96 PUT @.24 There is little open interest now that it's 35 days out and out of the money. I assume, as it gets closer to expiration, there will be more interest.
I'm ready to quit most option selling. It feels like a rigged game. I sold a 96/97 put credit spread on FISV. The stock has zoomed up to $104 and my broker shows an open profit of -$98.27. An option calculator says I should have $85 of profit at this point. But the market makers would never let me out for $85 in profit. Similarly, I had an AVY credit spread that was going to be a full loss. When the market dipped yesterday, I was at breakeven and tried to get out. I couldn't get a fill. I let it ride thinking AVY might go back down even more and it didn't so I ended up bag holding. At the end of today, I tried to just buy it back for full loss ($5 - $5 width spread). The bid asks were $4.70 to $7.40. No close at $4.70. I kept upping my offer to $5.15 and nobody would sell me the contract back. Now I go through assignment with the broker. I hope I don't get screwed. So much for a defined risk trade. That said, I have sold cash secured puts in my retirement. I've done +8% in 3.5 months. 27%/APR if I could maintain it. Honestly, I feel like I've just been lucky on that account.
Prob not. Typically payment processors on the issuing side (ie banks) make their money on accounts on file and transaction switching. The legacy processing providers (eg FIS, FISV)have a significant head start using their old azz banking technology built in COBOL. If rewards value prop gets watered down, it’s hard to see that many new accounts be out there to warrant significant investment needed to make a new issuance platform. You could ask Marqeta how that’s going…
Good question. And yes - it would absolutely eat into the premium collected on the original written call. Realistically, a roll-up is simply taking a loss now and placing a new trade which may be profitable in the future. As I mentioned, I don't usually roll-up but let me provide a specific example of a roll-up. I hold shares of $FISV. Because VIX was high earlier in the year, I wrote 7/29 94c @ $3.22. When the short call was tested, I elected to roll the position because my investment thesis was neutral to bullish on the company. I rolled out by btc the 7/29 94c $10.84 to 12/16 100c @ $11.09. That puts my break-even on the short calls at $3.47. FISV is currently trading @ 102 and the 12/16 100c is worth about $1.35. So I could BTC the calls for a profit or if FISV closes above 100 at expiration, I get assigned at the higher strike of 100 instead of 94 and I keep the entire premium. The reason why I say that it's situational is that everyone may have different reasons for how they trade a covered call. I rolled up the 94c short call because of 2 things. (1) I wanted to avoid assignment because I didn't want to take the gain in this specific tax year and (2) my FISV position was being delta hedged because I wanted a more neutral position at the time. That meant that some of my short calls on the position are naked. What I'm doing is not technically a traditional covered call. The covered call is one of the simplest option strategies, but you can use derivatives in lots of ways to hedge and manage risk.
Says they've gone to the edge of the law and exploited customers. Also that they're a hedge fund favorite. On list of stocks in the top 100 hedge fund holdings here are the overlaps: UBER, PANW, MU, FISV, SHOP UBER seems like the obvious choice. I feel like MU probably isn't it.
I see FISV and PANW as candidates. Both aren't too far off highs for the year

This analysis is based on the current option open interest. With that option open interest, it calculates portfolio-level greeks--notably Delta and Gamma. More importantly, once the portfolio level greeks are established, I can now simulate the change in greeks at different price points. From there, I can find the price levels where portfolio-level gamma is the highest, and the portfolio-level delta is close to 0. For some tickers, the underlying price reacts strongly off of delta neutral, gamma max, and sometimes both. It's the reaction off of these price levels in the past that is being used to drive trading signals. The plays and target entry prices given are calculated using a binomial option pricing model that reflect the expected size and duration of the reaction from gamma max or delta neutral. A lot of these plays are profitable by underlying moves in stock. The best plays benefit from the directional move as well as the increase in IV. \# Notes \* If the price has moved past the entry price, exercise caution. Someone knows something that I don't know. \* Look to sell half your position on a double, and freeroll the rest to exit at your discretion. \* I tend to risk up to 1% of my total capital on any trades I take. If my conviction is lower, I'll only allocate 0.5% or even 0.25% of my capital to the trade, and dollar cost average in. \* The trades were calculated before market open, and so are based on information up to yesterday. Keep that in mind when deciding to enter well after the fact. \# FAQ \* These plays are mostly puts. Are you a gay bear? \* No. It so happens that the companies have had some recent run-up which implies they are overextended. These trades are primarily some form of mean-reversion either toward or away from an important price level. \* Are you entering all these plays? \* No. There have been a dearth of plays in the WSB morning talks, and so I opened up my bag of tools slightly wider to point out more plays with a probable edge to help lead apes to more gain porn. Go through this curated list of plays, pick the ones you like based on whatever additional analysis you use, and get that gain porn.
What's up with FISV being up 2.7% today?
Yep, Fiserv $FISV has been laying off people left and right because they built two HQs and requiring people to move. Asinine. As a customer of them, we’re feeling the pain.
Just heard from family member that FISV is laying off 8k people.
Yes but not all companies coming out of the dot com bubble were so lucky. You also have your pets.com or even your yahoos where it never bounces back I am really curious about Shopify in the medium to long term Also, FIS and FISV. I believe all these companies could be lows
Seems to be some time in the future based on $V and $FISV earnings
Oh interesting, I had no idea. A lot of the payment processor adjacent stocks (SQ, AFRM, FISV, etc) had a lot of growth in the past several years and I think removing them will negatively affect VGT's growth. Was there an official place you saw this? I found a Seeking Alpha article on it (not sure if links are allowed here) which seems to imply that changes like this are deliberately made more "invisible" to investors. And it also suggests that the reason for these rebalances is to keep sectors balanced, so investors won't abandon lagging sector ETFs which costs MSCI fees.
The better play is the credit card processors who will be able to gain access to all those transactions - FIS, FISV, JPM, etc
This is a great question. Can't wait to hear other answers. I typically place more weight on the return on invested capital, aiming for at least 10%. Unfortunately, this is a hindsight measure, so it works best for companies with longer track records. FISV is an example of a mature company that uses a lot of acquisitions. It's not great for high growth companies, so you'd have to make a lot of assumptions.
Probably just DCA into longer term companies I like the current price of. Bought some FB PLTR FISV yesterday. I hope CVS goes under 100. May buy more BNTX or IDNA. I’ll nibble on GOOGL 2600s fair price for ownership in a good business buy more if market sells off.
PYPL is the real "dip that keeps on dipping". Ever since that PINS fiasco it's been on a steady decline. I never thought it would reach 100 but here we are $10 away. I dumped that shit at $150 and I'm so glad I did. Took a 30% loss but much better than 50%. PYPL is still a great company but until they stop getting slaughtered it doesn't even matter that they have good fundamentals. I rather FISV, V, MA even SQ over PYPL at this point. However, PYPL around 102-105 is definitely a BUY!
FOR THOSE CLAIMING DOOMSDAY PREMARKET: \- PFE's ER miss on sales and exceeded EPS by a wide margin on the is driving a lot of the premarket activity right now. \- NVDA officially out of ARM deal. \- FISV beat EPS and sales, still down premarket.
Damn, played the wrong side of FISV earnings.
Why would you play CHGG when FISV is gonna dump 15% in 7 hours and 46 minutes?
Here you go: FISV $115p 2/11
FISV puts going to be a 10 bagger tomorrow
$FISV 95p 2/11 cause I’m just throwing money at anything now
Is FISV being pumped up rn so it can dump during earnings? Will buy a few lotto tickets…

What are we thinking about FISV?
Fisv will be the next tech company to get slaughtered at earnings. Rising competition, slowing eaenings growth, no momentum, little support, and a 55 PE. Premiums are cheap. $FISV 100p 2/17
Today I was down at -4.43%. Costco (COST) is not looking good. I'll replace it with either Merck (MRK), Verizon (VZ), or Fiserv (FISV). After 3 days of trading this year, I am at -0.86%. Still doing better than picking random stocks (-1.30%)!

Well, glad I sold half my HP 25 calls before she jumped out the window. Hopefully FISV will keep on trucking tomorrow.
Sold [PINS](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbetsOGs/comments/rs06x5/comment/hqk0ibu/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) the same day for around 60%. Just sold VIAC for good gains, and [COF](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbetsOGs/comments/rs06x5/comment/hqjup1l/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) for some green. Bought FISV Jan21 104c (up 60%) and HP Jan21 25c (up 16%) at open. However, the play I picked to talk about here (PLUG) is the only one red. 🙄
That’s fantastic. Some of the most boring stocks turn out to be the best. I just started scaling into FISV which owns Clover. They’ve been consolidating for almost two years now.
FISV ownership of Clover makes it an undervalued asset IMO
Fintech is a big chunk of my portfolio but I have been reducing my exposure over the past year in some names. Mostly to lock in gains from the past 5-10 years. However, I don't invest in any of the names that you listed. I tend to prefer the more established fintech processors like FISV, FIS, NCR, JKHY. The one new name that I've been eyeing recently is ACIW.
$Z - Zillow $ZNGA - Zynga $FISV - Fiserv $PINS - Pinterest $OSTK - Overstock $FB - Facebook/Meta $9988 - Alibaba $EPD - Enterprise Products
Neither. Much better value in the sector. $FISV - Fiserv Their Clover platform is growing faster than SQ and the company is very cheap at the moment. $GPN - Global Payments also looks like good value here too and is expected to grow earnings at high-teen % into the middle of the decade. Stone Inc, a Brazilain payments company that Berkshire has a position in, has also been absolutely hammered but I haven't looked much into it.
Just hit -4% for the portfolio on the day. The bulk is from assets I would not sell off. Some are (somehow) showing green on the day - WW, VZ, T, FISV, PFE, JNJ, CAJ
I would like to see FISV break below $93.90 prior to me entering short.
DBX and FISV looking nice real nice rn
I just keep buying V, MA, FISV, GPN and PYPL. Long term holds on shares, short term may get bumpy, super well run companies, will never sell.

Probably my worst day since March 2020 covid crash. Down just over $3k, entire portfolio except FISV is red
It’s most payment processors, not just PayPal. Look what’s happening to old school competitors like $EEFT, $FIS, $FISV, $GPN, not to mention $MA, and $V.
Got absolutely wrecked at the start of the week by TDOC and FISV, made almost all of it back on MTTR, RKT, and EBAY today. What a week 🥵
FISV has been crushed over the past month.
Fiserv ($FISV) and Global Payments ($GPN)
FISV is going through the same thing. They announced in their conference call that they lost a large customer, and the stock fell more that 10%; their largest hit in 1 1/2 years. Yet, they reported a net income of $428M, up from $264M in the same qtr last year. They earned an adjusted $1.47/share, up from $1.20/share a year earlier. They beat the analyst FactSet's earnings projection ($1.45/share). Revenue is great news as well. Analysts projected $4.12B. Fiserv reported $4.16B and yet-10% loss. WTF. If there ever was a buying opportunity for a good company, now's it.
Gonna take a chance on FISV $97c for 11/05. They tanked on earnings today, but I anticipate a bit of a recovery.
TDOC and FISV continue to be the cuntiest stocks ever yet I can’t stop buying calls 😩

Credit card transactions processorers $FIS $GPN $FISV These have been dying, languishing, drifting lower. Last Q the earns were good very solid. Some have indicated this Q will also be solid. These are fair concerns. I think the large float is intentional due to the profile of a fintech that already does $100 billion in transactional volume and controls enough market share to be so readily accumulated by institutions. Regarding competition, see section on MOAT. They clearly differentiate themselves from competitors in iGaming, eCash, multi-jurisdictional regulatory expertise and risk management. Debt is currently high but they just had their debt rating upgraded, successfully refinanced all of it at much lower rates and are on track to expand margins and cash flow to reduce leverage. As I posted: >"The deal synergies and our growth profile will allow us to de-lever quickly and meaningfully make progress in 2022 towards our target of 3.5 times adjusted EBITDA.” > >This quoted debt/EBITDA ratio is better than most fintechs, including FOUR, RPAY, AFRM, BILL, PAYS and FISV. Even before they reach that target, the new interest rate of 3.25% indicates that their pro forma free cash flow to debt service ratio will be around 4.5 to 1.
